h1 displays an idea of pop music that came together through years of living, long rounds of editing, re-amping, sending files to friends, a vista of san francisco and walks on the outskirts of cologne. the songs could appear in blazing sunlight, empty rooms or city nights. on the sleeves of the 330 records, acrylic colors flow together and congeal in a clear plastic mass.

following her 1959 appearance in the anti-apartheid film come back, africa south african native miriam makeba vaulted into the international spotlight, fell under the tutelage of harry belafonte, and moved to new york city in 1960 where she immediately became a massive recording sensation. this lp collects some of that brilliant early material that launched her career and made her one of the most beloved voices of the 20th century. all tracks recorded 1957 - 1962.

uncage founder marco faraone makes his second appearance on rekids with a massive vocal cut entitled ‘on my way’, featuring a remix from 50weapons and hyperdub’s addison groove. the italian techno producer had an active year touring in 2017, dropping only one release on tenax recordings. however, 2018 is already proving to be one of his busiest on the production front, with releases appearing on rekids special projects, on edge society and his own label uncage, not to mention forthcoming appearances on gigolo and avotre. he now returns to rekids with his biggest sounding record yet. with its infectious vocal, rolling kicks and off-beat hats, it is undeniable that ‘on my way’ is destined to become one of this year’s most recognisable club tracks. on the flip, bristolian producer and swamp 81 affiliate addison groove has produced an intricate remix featuring a cacophony of percussion as a stuttering low-end joins chilling synths. finally, faraone concludes the package with a ‘dub acid rework’, losing the vocals whilst incorporating heady 303 licks.

for over 4 years, david coccagna aka chaperone has been a constant part of great circles, as musician, art director, and muse. with snapback balaclava he once again fully embodies all of those roles, delivering three inspiring tracks, selecting his remixers with specific attention to their musical histories, and designing his cover art. across the a-side, chaperone scrapes away at the grit – personal grit, the grit of anxiety, and philly grit. these are meditations on loops, and loops on meditations. each one appears on the surface to be a brief quote, but time dilation takes over, and minutes later we discover that chaperone has welcomed us into and back out of his own healing moment. like chaperone s p o n d release grcr-009, the b-side of snapback balaclava is a great circles extended family affair with a trio of diverse remixes that expose and exploit fragments of the chaos chaperone so carefully contained. hitoshi kojima thrive reinterprets pulse feels swells beating with relentless syncopated rhythms and synth lines that hang like massive string drones. m//r lays down a signature percussion ensemble palette, zeroes in on otherwise peripheral elements of grit neglect, and then deftly navigates sea change with both. matt korvette and sean mcguinness of philly punk band pissed jeans open up the pit and finish the story, taking femur baseball bat to its literal and brutal potential with monstrous vocals and kicks.

2018 repress - standard cover ... us born and meanwhile in berlin residing kevin mchugh aka ambivalent presents his cocoon recordings single debut. ambivalence seems to the be the musical direction here. daylights is a sheer technomonster, musclepacked and full of dark detroit flavour but the used vocal samples and the harmonic synthstrings cant hide the magic touch of daylights. although the massive techno bassline is the star of this track we are sure it will find its way into the sets of many house djs, too. in contrast to that “swung out” appears way more like pure techno and cannot be filed as house at all. we are hypnotized by the shuffled rim shots and hi hats and ambivalent drives this one straight through the dub universe. techno is the destination and the dark vibe of swung out makes it a perfect after hour weapon.

spencer parker readies the third and final remix package of different shapes and sizes this april featuring remixes from radio slave, italojohnson and nic fanciulli. concluding the series featuring dj deep, fett burger, rising sun, tijana t, setaoc mass and akirahawks, ep03 includes three artists that have long been close to spencer parker. radio slave has released parker s music via rekids for over a decade, whilst nic fanciulli s saved has hosted multiple records, like parker s debut album. spencer s relationship with italojohnson also stretches years including the trio s first remix (a spencer parker release on tsuba) and appearances at work them records showcases. radio slave s remix of information deviation is an ominous techno cut complete with eerie atmospherics, fuzzy melodies and rattling hats whilst a robotic vocal operates on top. italojohnson then remodel size:yes to generate a moody house number featuring cosmic synths and twisted effects, leading into nic fanciulli s rumbling rendition of riff shapes .

sombrero galaxy (also known as messier object 104, m104 or ngc 4594) is an unbarred spiral galaxy in the constellation virgo located 31 million light-years (9.5 mpc)2 from earth. the galaxy has a diameter of approximately 50.000 light-years, 30% the size of the milky way. it has a bright nucleus, an unusually large central bulge, and a prominent dust lane in its inclined disk. the dark dust lane and the bulge give this galaxy the appearance of a sombrero. astronomers initially thought that the halo was small and light, indicative of a spiral galaxy, but spitzer found that the halo around the sombrero galaxy is larger and more massive than previously thought, indicative of a giant elliptical galaxy.3 the galaxy has an apparent magnitude of +9.0, making it easily visible with amateur telescopes, and it is considered by some authors to be the brightest galaxy within a radius of 10 megaparsecs of the milky way. its large bulge, its central supermassive black hole, and its dust lane all attract the attention of professional astronomers.

dead man s chest aka alex eveson makes his debut appearance on myor massiv sublabel diamond life alongside head honcho coco bryce. dancehalls seem to be the common denominator on this 12”. and where mr eveson prefers to drop a tab of acid, coco opts for a helping of mandy to work his way through the night. both sides find the respective producers operating at the 160 bpm mark, wading through a hazy mist of sounds reminiscent of clandestine warehouse raves. but whereas dmc utilizes a fairly straightforward, 93 style hardcore drum loop in combination with acidic undertones and atmospherics which clearly reveal his love for the “golden era” of mo wax trip hop, señor bryce s jam is a far more hectic sounding affair, layering a chopped and re-edited apache on top of an already-frantic, percussion- laden break beat, adding even more to the rushy feeling induced by the nervous pads and rave stabs. quality, yet slightly off-kilter hardcore junglist exercises.

having only made spotted appearances in the past, icy ambient techno artist winter in june makes a fine first outing on vinyl with a press of his ep eternal lovers. it s prime silent season material, using massive slabs of reverb and a foreboding sense of space as his main weapons while rolling out bleak machine matter that sounds as though it were blown across the tundra. about life & death is particularly moving with its heart monitor bleeps and forlorn strings, while the party is elsewhere is a telling trip into the coldest of coldwave.

following the hypnotic ‘what’s in your head’ ep in 2016, archie hamilton returns to moscow records with his first solo ep on the imprint since the release last year. since finishing 2016 with a place in ra s top 100 djs poll, he’s been touring the world, had a summer residency at amnesia and released another massive ep on fuse. an integral part of the stellar ascent of the brand, and founder at tastemaker label initiatives moscow records, moss co. and arkityp, he is an artist very much in control of his rise. the record opens with confusion, an out and out anthem which has been tearing up dance floors across the globe all summer. a trademark bassline drives the track forward as stabs build, tight percussion cuts through and a repeating vocal enters. then when the track drops it shifts the mood completely, causing any dance floor to bump uncontrollably. dos equis is something different altogether. minimalistic percussion and a tight sub lay the foundations for a funky bass guitar line. warming pads meet rhodes keys and out of nowhere a beautifully subtle vocal line appears. as the track breaks down, a mind bending synth line takes the listener out of their state of reflection. the title track on the flip is a classic piece of groovy hamilton weaponry. a positive mood that bounces along to a whispering voice in the background. the track develops as lush chords permeate the groove, soaking the dance floor in the last of the summer sun to create a euphoric crescendo.

for ws021 we head to italy where we find a duo by the name of concret aka italo-mexican musician diego angelico escobar and producer q-pha. together, they submit a couple of ethereal, stripped-back and driving techno tracks that compliment each other so well they appear to be brother and sister from the same session. on remix duty we ve got another italian, rodion, who ads his signature sound to ritorno and flips it into a laid-back dark groover. last but not least is uk s heretic, aka timothy clerkin, who remixes andata into a classy acid burner fit for a massive warehouse party or dark, sweaty basement.

the first track sees villem step up to remix false alarm by total science, quadrant & iris. flexing his technical prowess with this chest-shattering offering, villem teases sonorous atmospherics around sharp percussive hits, building to a medley of full impact subsonic weight and aggressive drum patterns that cut right through the mix. for his debut appearance on the label, critical impact teams up with vocal powerhouse jakes to deliver geeks and geez. critical impact combines deep, rumbling subs and resonant mid tones which go hand-in-hand with jakes raw vocal energy and no-nonsense lyricism, making this a sure-fire dancefloor heavy hitter for the masses. for the third track, total science drop what i need , a beautifully crafted composition filled with tranquil pads and articulate rolling drums serving as a solid backbone. reversed atmospherics and glistening pianos swell in and out of the track with a deep, warm sub to bring it all together. finally, arcatype s cascade is an immersive roller bursting with ethereal tones and snappy percussions, taking you on a journey of rolled out sub lines and mid-range stabs washed with subtle reverb and delay. classified v3 delivers an across-the-board, cutting-edge offering of their signature d&b blend. combining the raw energy of false alarm and geeks and geez alongside the deep overtones of what i need and cascade classified v3 is solid proof that c.i.a are always at the top of their game, rolling strong since 1996 with no sign of turning back.

holy smokes batman! brand new label straight outta mcr here as esteemed clubnight house of wax launches a new, vinyl only imprint entitled jupiter s melody. what a coup for this debut release - the drop are a london based, 9-piece reggae band operating since 2009 and with a soundsystem informed mentality. fitting then that soundsystem operative, ukg legend and accalaimed bass music progressor djrum is enlisted on remix duties to take these uk reggae skankers into the club for some grooving 2-step business. felix manuel has a storied history across uk dance music, most notably through releases on the iconic 2nd drop records and a much lauded resident advisor mix. -looking to the sky- is that festival burner you wish you d have packed for the summer just gone. gliding in on waves of undulating bass, punctuated by a typical but none less arresting 2-step beat, the rastaman vox from the drop fit so well you won t actually believe it s a remix! deep, emotive and beautifully poised, its retroist in many ways but this only adds to the warm and welcoming nature of the track. the flip is more introspective, and in someways melancholic, but with a massively uplifted message. again, taken from a completely different og piece (check youtube for the drop s original vid), the vocal sits perfectly in another crisp and frenetic take on the ukg beat. this side builds slowly, with a defined song structure and lush musicality, never quite climaxing but simmering gently with a mindful glow. appearing out of nowhere and instantly having us climbing over each other to see what was playing, we expect this to be a big smash here in manchester over the coming months. if you ve felt something missing in your life since mj cole, zed bias and todd edwards last released summat, then you could do much worse than adding this to your collection! limited copies so get those orders in quick folks...

following the launch of her own label, deep sea frequency, and a standout boiler room appearance, this new batch of fresh material cements or:la’s position in the uk underground. taking cues from influences ranging from classic jungle to post-dubstep, farewell 24 offers more evidence as to why so many have tipped the derry producer for great things. and to round things off, we are very excited to include a razor sharp remix from the one and only fit siegel, one of our absolute us favourites.

mick has been active in the seedier corners of electronic music for more than 30 years, first immersing himself in the world of hi-nrg and new wave before embracing the house, techno, acid and electro explosion of the late 1980s. aligned with dj hell in the 90s and more recently the intergalactic fm crew, hes the quintessential selector. a life spent digging in the undergrowth for deviant dance music has given him the edge that makes a truly gifted spinner, without riding on hype or studio productions. however, mick isnt adverse to the odd outing on vinyl, having previously appeared on international dj gigolos both solo and as the kinky lovers with sometime partner isabella venis, but these moments are few and far between. for this release on arma, mick has given us two edits that speak to his distinctive style as a dj the original tracks are cult choices re-moulded into deadly, subversive club weapons. the brooding darkwave of himmelfahrt 89 is enough to turn the most indifferent bar crowd into swaying, baying denizens of the night, while stay silent pummels out a relentless electro motif that teeters on the edge of destruction for 11 thrilling minutes. these arent crowd-pleasing dj tools, and neither are they slick and easy edits of obvious classics. this is a peek into the inner workings of a man with decades of experience working masses of flesh into a sweaty fever pitch using sounds youve never heard before. the mastering on micks edits was undertaken by none other than dutch electro legend rude 66, while the striking artwork on the sleeve sees arma reach out for the first time to french artist judex. the nerve-shredding, broken op-art assault was originally found in a book published by cult illustrator sam rictus.

70% deal , last copies left.... sascha braemer s first record on dirtybird was a very big success gathering support from a wide array of djs. as our very first german artist, we were very happy when he sent over this super hot follow-up ep. true to dirtybird style both tracks on the ep are thematic, but these also show some restraint, not getting too silly or gimmicky with the themes. grounded in heavy funk kick drum grooves, sascha has delivered another set of bombs for sure. the train grows from a simple solid groove to a massive whistling peak, then back to the deep rooted funk. fly flip is a play on bug sounds, bringing a more laid back vibe to the table. both of the tracks are the kind of thing that could be played in any set from techno to deep house which really says a lot for the universal appeal of sascha s solid beats. we hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

the album attains a unique harmony while drawing from a myriad of beliefs and practices. syncretism appears not only in the name but in the artwork and the music itself. the independent tonal passages draw on aspects of varied genres while creating a remarkably coherent yet homogeneous work. lvis mejía explores in his second album, topics of the christian religion and the history of man. deftly placed style and tempo contrasts express the various antagonisms found in this discourse. with the use of contemporary music in combination with hints of jazz, mejía designs spherical soundscapes, therefore allowing for musical deformations, hence the title aforma. the result is an experience that evokes abstract musical impressions. a reference to christianity is also embedded in the track order as the first piece patefactio opens the musical event much like a christian mass. the travel proceeds through the lurking clerical chants of aeternus-the final trial, whilst the bells are then calling us to mass with the track in dissonata apocalypse and continuing with the ontological concept of belief in in ghost we trust. everything comes full circle with the history of homo errata as a conglomerate of human errors. this final piece serves also as a link to the second part of the album anthropology of amnesia a musical description of repression and forgetting as a condition of life, which has emerged as a theme of human existence since the beginning of recorded history. with this opening piece artist and musician lvis mejía has created a magical musical experience, leaving us eager for its sequel.

bruno pronsato returns with his first new artist album in 6 years. entitled us drag, it’s the follow-up to 2011’s critically acclaimed lovers do— lauded by pitchfork as a “striking and massive statement,” and decorated with a 4.5/5 rating by resident advisor. the new record, which finds the ex-punk rock drummer exploring dense, interlocking rhythms and unorthodox tuning systems, was recorded in berlin during the second half of 2016, and features a collaboration with liars’ frontman angus andrew. after the vast, complex arrangements of his previous albums, the 9 recordings on us drag are relatively more upfront and direct, with a particular focus on bells, tuned percussion and the sequential circuits six-trak synthesizer (used to create many of the album’s synth parts). pronsato’s ongoing collaboration with yonatan levi continues, with the israeli bassist appearing on the album’s second track

aelfric michael avery has been a self-reliant artist for a long time. the canadian producer has been exploring underground acid and rough, homemade techno since releasing his first material as avery monarch back in 1994. however it wasn’t until more than ten years later that his music would surface again on his own napalm enema label. napalm enema has also carried work by the likes of faltydl, paul blackford and mrs jynx. avery has released just as much music under his acid elf guise, most notably appearing alongside +10 acid crew (jodey kendrick) for the sought-after bruvs acid ep, and now the alias makes a welcome return to vinyl with four essential tracks from the archives. there’s a subdued, hypnotic and delirious quality to the productions on this ep for arma, ranging from the uneasy delay pulses of fetus to the metallic clamour of urban wasteland, but most importantly they’re all injected with a distinctive personality that stands apart from the 303-tweaking masses.

after last year’s massive “brainbox” album, de:tuned presents the 7th and final installment “unboxed brain” which contains 3 excellent re-interpretations by future/past (aka kirk degiorgio), mark broom and the black dog of selected tracks off the album and an exclusive new track by the future sound of london. yet again, mastered by matt colton (alchemy mastering) and related artwork by designer kevin foakes from openmind (aka strictly kev, dj food from ninja tune). both kirk degiorgio and mark broom rework b12’s “worlds end”. kirk degiorgio, who makes a rare appearance as future/past, increases the energy levels and turns the original into a dance floor bomb. broom’s version heals back to a more electro and breakbeat vibe by adding some deep ballsy and stretched out beats. on the flipside, scanner’s “eros” gets the black dog treatment. the illustrious uk outfit strips down the original into an eerie futuristic soundscape. lastly, the future sound of london brings us an intense piece of sound design: sit back and let the music take control, stay tuned!

unordained, brutal, and led by the rhythm of heavy bass and massive drums, disorder is an unrestrained ep, conceived in an atmosphere of distortion, edging on a certain experimental techno, equivocating between noise music and musique bruitiste. as if, here, techno were a tool of vengeance, a violent revelation with the appearance of redemption, the pieces succeed each other without any glimmer of hope appearing, and the sounds with the abrasive textures come to coil round fast and broken sequences. times are marked on each pulsation, regular and relentless. the frequencies evolve in progressions designed to install a particular tension. in -contact- some voices hidden by the filtering of a radio announce to the stoic listener and the sweaty dancers what they already foreshadowed: communication is blurred, impossible and painful. in a word, modern.

karim sahraoui, known by releases on labels such as transmat, cocoon and arts, as well as dj appearances on boiler room and on dancefloors all around the world, makes his debut on off recordings. book of life is a melodic techno track in karim s signature style. warm and emotional, albeit with a strong drive for the dancefloor, it can set a strong accent in a set. italy s dast created a slamming peaktime techno interpretation, which is sure to create a massive effect on the dancefloor. syncopated chords and a rolling groove build towards an epic break. -exodus- is aptly named as a perfect track to close the set by the end of the night. lush and warm pads and melodies evoke a warm and optimistic atmosphere. anton pieete remixed exodus with a minimalistic and more groove-focused interpretation. altogether an ep with a timeless feel, spanning the borders between techno, house and electronica.

cocoon recordings presents a freaked out deep techno highlight by two masters of their craft: gregor tresher & petar dundov! especially the a-side spike is a crazy monster and we do not exaggerate by writing that we have never heard something like this by these two masterminds before. mental, hypnotic and with a neverending synth firework that modulates with an endless release effect. the two really pushed electronic dance music at least ten steps further. tresher & dundov second mutual work on cocoon recordings follows with differentiator. the two stick to the basic concept of spike however this time it is the good old arpeggio that keeps on modulating until eternity. differentiator almost flows with a little trance appeal and there is even a cool and driving acid bassline giving us the final push. tresher & dundov present us two massive techno tunes that will definitely play in their own league this season!

with the new sublabel ourselves established under the roof of the well-known o*rs crew from leipzig, a new label has been launched which can without a doubt be called a matter of the heart. production, graphic design, promotional shipping, in leipzig truly every single step remains within the family. with the now appearing compilation imagination the newly born baby ourselves directly presents itself in the best possible light. kicking off the sampler is düsseldorf-based artist sello. the house track characterized by its analog drums, deep chords and snotty bassline completely places his bet on deepness. in his very own catchy way, it sure is the perfect entrance into the musical debut. the second track of the release, a collaboration of jan ketel and his partner in crime siggatunez, shines through its very dynamic and driving buildup. the title being a graceful tribute, it carries the name of the eponymous berlin club farbfernseher. nevertheless, such a warm and dreamy house track might as well serve as the perfect commendation for the first open airs of spring. the flipside impresses with a ruff and dirty club track by berlin-based producer braunbeck, which self-ironically manifests itself particularly through the self-recorded vocals. as a true humorous banger, the track adds even more musical depth to the already outstanding release. the completion of the compilation and therefor also the most technoid track of the release is contributed by perel. a tool-like classic, standing out through its massive kick and hi-hat called felene hischer. nasty, groovy and timeless, just how we like it!

hot on the heels of “the reason”, released earlier in april, mimi music continues to impress with the death no more ep from label head komplexx. he teams up with former booker of extrema and present-day photographer peter van hal. the original version of “death no more” defies genre boundaries with ease. fusing old school progressive stylings, well placed percussion, an epic choral vocal with a catchy main hook and a rubbery bass line, komplexx has unleashed a summer anthem for the discerning dance-floor worldwide. the remix comes from well respected german artist marcus sur. a producer in his own right, signed to noir music, trapez, highgrade, four:twenty records and many more, sur created a darker more hypnotic journey focusing on the percussive aspects of the original. and komplexx’s v.i.p. mixx heads off into housey techno waters from the start. deeper, more percussive and driving, the v.i.p. mixx keeps the central melody intact while creating a darker feel. this has mass crossover appeal written all over it.

the summer heat is still on our minds and we all do miss the sunny days, the beaches and the endless open air parties… thanks sascha dive for the right soundtrack and this summer flashback: dives new release for cocoon beams us back to the high days of the summer of 2015: especially into the woods seems to be the perfect sound for all these deeply missed summervibes. into the woods is a pristine tech-house production that comes with a cool straight forward beat programming, very nice reverse strings-sounds and hypnotic house chords. a nicely flavoured chicago club housefeeling and exactly how we like it! werewolf appears slightly more spaced out, however we are still deep in the house universe here. dive is pushing it a bit harder now - he uses crazy chord sounds and turns the track into an 11 minutetech house journey. after the summer flashback with into the woods this one beams us definitely more into the darker and hotter inner city clubs. a massive tech-house-striker by the diver and we are proud to say it is one of his strongest works so far!

the head of grounded theory berlin returns to sonic groove with his strongest outing on the label to date. henning baer brings forth a rough and tough diverse four cut ep of chunky rhythmatic techno. recording the songs during live jams and using a previously decided pool of hardware this ep has a nice old school vibe. the sound production however is very much in the modern day with its well crafted mix downs. this release has strong mass appeal for the purist techno connoisseur.

a new white label brought to you by a group of friends including moire&#769,,,,,,,, disguise, etc. in collaboration with phonica records. this marks the debut release from the creative imprint neversleep whose previous work includes the art direction and a&r of moire&#769,,,,,,,’s debut lp *shelter* - out now on werkdiscs/ninja tune - plus various visual work from disguise.

365 million years ago a meteorite crashed with tremendous force in the middle of a land mass that much later would be called sweden, creating one of her largest lakes. the area around this lake, siljan, has always been an epicenter of swedish folklore, with many tales of beautiful but dangerous creatures of the ancient forests and deep vales. perhaps, then, it s no coincidence that the skies over siljan later became the focus of unexplainable sightings, or that small societies appeared, claiming strong indications of extraterrestrial activities on the bottom of the lake itself. the tales may change over time, but the mysterious lake remains the same. and now the time has come for a new tale from siljan. producer colleagues hans berg and johanna knutsson have spent long periods of time in a studio by this lake. feeling a bit like aliens themselves with their blinking and bleeping music machines, the label name ufo station recordings came naturally. little raver ep is the first release, and throughout the three tracks you can clearly sense the contrast between the scenic landscape and sounds inspired by space and alien technology: shimmering ethereal melodies over classic, very fulfilling drum machines. the melancholic singing of space whales over deep and bubbly analog basses. the little raver ep is a house music ufo destined to arouse wonder and astonishment on any dance floor.

new york endless is the first appearance on vinyl of new jersey born new yorker dan selzer. you may not have heard of him, but many of your favourite producers, bands and djs massively respect his record collection and ear. many of the sounds he has spent years exploring and djing can be heard via the three tracks that make up the strategies ep. elements of techno and house, idm, italo-disco and new wave, cosmic and kosmiche, krautrock and a certain debt to the new york school of minimalist composers all appear. the music is pure and (mostly) analog while still centred around accessible melodies and clean synthesized tones. golf channel every time!

to accompany the release of especial s compilation mix cd, -eleccio- - offering of a snapshot of the first 9 eps on the label - a limited edition sampler ep is being released featuring 4 unreleased remixes from the label s roster to date. ever since the first white labels appeared at the end of summer 2013, emotional especial has had a busy release schedule, putting out music that are a slightly warped take on club music. mixing the influences of dub, electro, disco, proto-house, house and techno, a feeling, a sound, a vibe has appeared without any preordained plan. with the release of ees10cd - a dj meets studio compilation mix created by label mainstay and handyman, jamie paton - to mark the end of first series of the label, it was decided to included a couple of specal unreleased remixes to add a bit of new with the old in the mix. to that end this limited edition vinyl sampler was created to include the two remixes, plus the inclusion of another two gems that simply needed to see the light of day. first is the alternative -member- remix of inhalt by black merlin - a strings meets leather bar club-dub-out that takes things deeper and darker than before. this is followed by jamie delivering his own take of khidja s massive mustafa, with a warped, swamped out dub. next is another mix from cage & aviary of their pals, blancemange. brooding low-slung rerub dub anyone? finally there is a very special remix by khidja of the ganges orchestra. reissued on emotional rescue in 2013, this special remix takes the vocal mantra of the original and creates a balearic-raga tale that perfectly rounds off especial to date.

for a brief moment hermans are cut free from their shackles and venture out from the black dungeon, dragging xylophones made from kraken bones and drums fashioned out of reptile skins the duo summon a battle chant from deep within. scores of allies join, endlessly banging the same rhythm relentlessly until the clouds draw and the red sun is no longer visible. a basic soul unit appears from the murkiness and descends upon the racket, bringing with him booming thunder and electric lightning, a dark army marching alongside him. the massive beat continues for days, shaking all those that hear it. slowy and steadily, the din subsides, the clouds part and the sun returns as hermans retreat back to the darkness to wait patiently until they are called upon again. zaires is the third of 12 releases from z o d i a c 4 4. one for each sign of the stars and then z o d i a c 4 4 is forever dead and gone. forever

following on from the massive tlb002 which featured some of the most played tracks of last summer including ossies fela kuti rubdown and ph0tomachines dusty rnb workout of musiqs h.e.r, the love below has returned with yet another slice of limited edition wax, packed with an eclectic array of soulful sex appeal just in time for summer. first up one of the most exciting uk producers, eliphino, turns out a killer rerub of a vintage slice off will.i.am. the results are stunning with a slow burning groove and a killer vocal hook working it to the bone. next up the hottest name in house music - seven davis jr covers a rate prince jam and as you can imagine the outcome is pure purple perfection. rounding off the package in style is a housed up summer edit from rekchampa, which is destined for some heavy rotation on club terraces this summer.

alessandro crimis quantum realm is the much-loved dub techno track appeared on our last etui winter camp 2 compilation. long term etui records label artist and abstract animal founder monomood delivered 2 massive remixes for this track.

dmom welcomes french talent flex for his debut with a massive big-room-track. the knocking kick introduces some fine tuned and arranged techno in a really classic sense and has the ability to become one of those secret weapons everybodys talking about when hearing it on some set. on top of this kyle geiger delivered a remix showing the technotic side of his soul after his recent more melodic appearance on cocoon s recent compialtion, as used to from him with a superb sounddesign and kind of remdinding on his previous works some time ago on drumcode. finally southeast-european techno-ambassador vegim appears to slow it down a bit, taking it to the groovy edge.

fresh from supporting claude vonstroke on the massive 25 date north american urban animal tour, j.phlip, has finally stolen a moment to complete her latest and much anticipated release. her last appearance on dirtybird called *coefficient*, found the girl from illinois flexing her european techno muscles and adding the likes of surgeon & dave clarke to her rapidly swelling fanbase. her incredible dj skills on the road have been catching everyone’s attention and she is currently prepping to go back on the road with vonstroke for the europe leg of his tour.
