juris boiko (1954-2002) and hardijs ledinš (1955-2004) were the core members of the nsrd, which is best known as latvian avant-garde, postmodern, experimental and underground music group active in 1980s.
their activities were widely multidisciplinary and they can not be considered as purely musicians since none of them had a professional musical education. their creativity was manifested through variety of media – music, performance and action art, visual arts, poetry, samizdat, the introduction video art in latvia etc. nsrd also made a significant contribution to the explanation of the theoretical aspects of art in the interpretation of the postmodernist movement, and developed the independent concept of “approximate art”. at the end of the 80s, nsrd got connected and performed with several artists and musicians living in west germany, including indulis bilz&#275,,,,,ns, micky remann and maximilian lenz aka westbam and others.

nice price deal !!! xenogears is the name of the first studio project of marieu and lucretio, also known as the analogue cops. with this moniker they released a bunch of seminal techno cuts on the first chapters of their restoration imprint, back in 2007. tracks which were played by legends as anthony shakir, claude young and the suburban knight. now the xenogears are back with their first album *lost artemis*, showcasing their distinctive fast, detroit-inspired hardware techno. the album features a collaboration with their usual collaborator nomadronin (with whom they run the label bratha) and with the talented producer known as objekt. all the tracks are characterized by a strong fascination for hi-tech synthesizers and rusted vintage gears, a fast pace, and a minimal approach to live mixing. they have explored the subterranean territories between post-atomic noises and apocalyptic breakbeats, finding a way to equate machines with funkiness in an open battlefield.

its easy to come across many techno albums which contain neither a true vision nor a concept these days. however, throughout the last three years, the berlin sound has witnessed a revival in both method and sound aesthetic.

highly recommended!unity is the first single taken from third sides forthcoming album unified fields, that will be released on restoration records in september 2012. third side is the project of the analogue cops and panorama bar resident steffi, their collaborations, which have been released exclusively on restoration, have been of the most interesting jams of the last years. the original unity, a fat overshadowing deep techno track, written and produced only with machines and recorded on tape, comes with 3 massive analogue remixes. the rework made by blawan (sheworks/hessle audio) smashes the parts of the composition with overbearing oldschool british manners and the result is a broken shuffled industrial hammering. on side b, steffis remix is relentless, rushing and carefully build:her attention for the processing of every detail transforms the original tune into an hypnotic breathtaking excursion. the last treatment is performed by the nightjars, an unidentified project that has brought down a particular attention for its debut ep on vae victis records. with a bossy employ of the most advanced analogue equipment, the nightjars slash an incendiary attack of warehouse garage.

on side b, mister ryan elliott (ghostly / ostgut ton) visits the analogue cops and the result is impressive. b1 is a forthright house track with a techno attitude, a sensual vocal hook runs over an huge bass drum with sharp hi-hats. b2 is an hard driving minimalistic sci-fi trip, dancefloor oriented but fast paced from trends.

>mauzy< is marieus deepest track on restoration. beat-down smashing 909 drums, punchy snares, delightful piano chords, sharp cymbals, a praising voice. a track for a spiritual elevation, a track to dance until the last second. a track to listen to a million of times.

ltd to 275 copies - for the eighth release on roberto’s fossil archive imprint, a very special collaboration which was produced by roberto and the late trevino (aka marcus intalex) shortly before his tragic passing in 2017 is poised. the release features three original cuts, along with a previously unreleased remix roberto put together of ‘black cat’ which featured on trevino’s album ‘front’. the music speaks for itself. however, to honour marcus, a short poem has been put together by one of his closest friend’s.

very limited marbled vinyl. kontakt records presents two highly sought-after tracks by danish artist christian bloch. both tracks have been officially remastered after careful restoration from the original master tapes. after releasing on his own funque droppings imprint in the late 90ties christian had several successful releases on simple muzik, ll records and tresor and soon after he relocated to detroit to pursue his musical dream. luke hess and rolando contributed with two outstanding remixes of the original tracks.

originally released in 1983 stop bajon (primavera) became a favourite in rimini discotheques, balearic islands and even chicago during the early house days. it was an anthem on what went on to become the italo disco movement. the vocal mix is still revered and played to this day by dj s such as dj harvey at his mercury rising night at pikes, ibiza. this special limited edition release from best record italy features for the first time the original acapellas (tracked down during tape restoration) plus the song stadera that was available only on the first italian pressing and of course the original extended club vocal and instrumental.

several years in the making, this limited edition 2 x 12” release features 7 tracks made back in 1993 by jungle buddha, including all four from the insanely rare and sought-after jungle buddha ep, originally released on poetic justice in 1993.
it also contains “the chamber”, which has never been released on vinyl before, as well as one previously unreleased track rescued from the original dats, and rounded off with the techno-stomper “purple gnome”.
the tracks have been remastered from the original dats, with restoration by simpatico mastering and mastered and cut by beau at ten eight seven, and pressed at optimal:media gmbh in germany.
