for the sixth instalment in our catalogue we are extremely happy to be welcoming two new faces to the tribal pulse family. during our label showcase at last years amsterdam dance event, sonic union from sweden and khen from israel voiced their intentions to collaborate on writing a track in the specific style of tribal pulse. the week before our showcase at this years ade we have the privilege of releasing it, and we think you will agree that they have hit the nail on the head.
glasgow based imprint tribal pulse launches this july with temujin by boom merchant, backed with a remix from pole folder. boom merchant was born in ireland, raised in spain and now resides in glasgow, the hometown of tribal pulse. merchant grew up on a diet of detroit techno, house and generally futuristic forward thinking sounds, which is evidently apparent in his own productions. tribal pulse therefore is a fitting home for this new release, as the label sets out to deliver deep, pulsating electronic rhythms designed for the dance floor.
in 2010 the la based label halo cyan records re-released vladislav delay s sistol project. for this deluxe 2cd reissue various well known electronic musicians remixed the recordings from 1999. the whole project received enthusiastic reviews in pitchfork, resident advisor, etc. one of the remixers is mike huckaby, who transferred sistols track >keno< into an outstanding dubby detroit-house masterpiece. it was immediately clear that this track had to be released on vinyl. we are delighted to announce the collaboration between halo cyan and slics of life for mike huckabys s y n t h remix of keno. on the b-side, mike huckaby remixed a track originally produced in the same time period: poles >silberfisch< was released in 2000 on the highly acclaimed yellow album >3<, re-released by scape in 2008 as part of the 3-cd pole box. in 2011, mike huckaby keeps the dubby and slightly melancholic crackling atmosphere of the original, but his s y n t h remix is beams >silberfisch< straight onto the dancefloor, where it arrives as a driving deep techno track.

once again trtlnck bring their functional copenhagen sound with a fifth v/a release consisting of two tracks by resonant pole on the a-side, delivering his fast-paced and raw scandinavian style with “this part of town” and “first high”. modah takes over the b-side opening with “forgot my screw, diver needed”, a razor sharp dj-tool, and riesenfeld closing this v/a installment with a melancholic and beautiful track called “for the future”.
the copenhagen based label trtlnck delivers fast paced and functional techno on their fourth v/a vinyl installment. riesenfeld opens the record with ‘auto self’ and ‘white weather’, two groove heavy tracks, while resonant pole takes over the flip-side with ‘eroticism moves’, a more trancelike take on contemporary techno, followed up by modah closing the record with ‘lasue’, a suitable tool for almost any selection. all four tracks are heavily dance floor orientated and bring the sound of the copenhagen club scene on to vinyl.

brendon moeller returns to third ear after some years, following up his lauded jazz junk safari trilogy of eps with 4 peak time bombs. all 4 tracks blow up the dance floor. brendon moeller known for his sound design, has taken his sonics to extremes on all four tracks, pushing, twisting and teasing frequencies to the limit. the bass on all tracks is phenomenal. it s just as well that a master engineer like pole has mastered these tracks, maxing out the sound yet protecting the sound systems that these bombs will be played on. super fun.
