white on white is an absorbingly dynamic, multi-layered album of improvisations made on the seminal ppg wave synth, inspired by the work, life and theories of the great, if forgotten, british constructivist artist marlow moss (1889-1958): a radical, gender-bending british jewish lesbian and innovator of non-figurative art who was a then-contemporary influence on piet mondrian, with whom she worked alongside from the late 1920s as part of the abstraction-creation artists association in paris, until the nazi’s forced her from mainland europe back to england, where she settled in the far west of cornwall.

now already almost a year has gone by since “inspiration”, the collaboration between jah wobble and singer pj higgins has come out on sonar kollektiv. with “chaingang (remixes)” we get a further renewal of one of the eight tracks off the album. for instance utrecht, netherlands based multi-instrumentalist and producer pitto gets down to work to morph the song into an eight-minute spheric techno extravaganza. some sort of a teaser for his upcoming album on sonar kollektiv later this year (although it will sound completely different). also releasing an album on sonar kollektiv in 2015 is producer marlow from weimar. his voodoo version of “chaingang” draws nearer to the original and incorporates the jubilee style gospel chanting to a hypnotically impelling rhythm. at the right time at the right place this remix will cause outmost frenzy on the dancefloor.

konsequenz berlin is getting ready to release its second compilation of the world is ours series. this time we discovered ten new tracks which represent different musical styles konsequenz was influenced by. through disco house, trip hop, rock oriented tracks, and back to classic house music, we created an album like ensemble which feels complete to us. along side label artists koljah, marlow, oliver deutschmann, hakimonu, comixxx, zico, and james blonde - we are collaborating for the first time with ly sander, pelle buys, 9 am and two artists from tel aviv lonya & roi okev.
