following the ‘frequency vs atkins – mind merge lp’ (march 2017), featuring the collaboration between orlando voorn and juan atkins, italian label out-er (out electronic recordings) welcomes long standing detroit producer terrence dixon for a 21 track triple vinyl pack ‘12.000 miles of twilight’, out in july 2017. this is dixon’s fifth album and follows his last ‘badge of honor’ released back in 2013. the legend has been putting out material since the mid -nineties. recognized worldwide for his visionary, futuristic sound, dixon unites ages of inspiration traversing diverse musical styles including electro, jazz and minimal sci-fi techno. this overall hypnotic approach can also be seen in his parallel project population one, which appeared on out-er respectively in early 2016 with two-tracker solo ‘temporary insanity ep’, as well as in late 2016 with ‘temporary insanity remixes’ which saw the label offering reinterpretations from cosmin trg, pangaea, voiski and label co-founder simone gatto. ‘12.000 miles of twilight’ remains an experimental techno asset offering a non-linear, emotionally absorbing journey into the singular experimental edge of the detroit artist, pulling the listener in all kind of directions from the opening track to the closing finale.

we are happy to introduce deeper meaning s 5th project on the typical for our label 12 vinyl record format. this time its a selection of 4 tracks by various artists with whom we had been connected musically for a long time. with some of them we ve been releasing music on our digital label etoka records ever since 2009. both sides representing the very best of our label s sound vision. although the tracks are produced by a number of artists and each one of them is showing his own musical individuality, every composition applies perfectly into one immaculate deep release. compliments to anton lanski, adverb, warmth, federsen, for shaping up this project.

this release is the logical step after aeon, this time it evolves to a stage where old and new merge together, surface has the typical sequential synth lines inspired in the past by iconic groups such as tangerine dream but it has been added a good number of refreshing digital drones and textures, a little bit glitch background errors and cold wavetable pads, but at the end keeping the essential vision alive due to all the tracks were recorded live, playing synths and keyboards in realtime specially for this production. be ready to take land on the surface.
