after internationally acknowledged releases on philpot and buzzin fly, here today surprise us with their first ep on 33rpm records. here today (florian schirmacher & engin oeztuerk) shape computer based soulful electronic athmospheres! focused on house music but always willing to experiment with various well integrated influences, styles and sounds. engin oeztuerk and florian schirmacher share the musical affection for marvin gaye, the meters, theo parrish, basic channel, eric b. & rakim and alexander skrjabin. as a member of the band faruk green engin oeztuerk already released records on copasetik and 33rpm records. florian schirmacher has been releasing music on labels such as cadenza, cocoon, morris audio to name but a few. he is also part of the electronic house music duos glowing glisses (pokerflat) and federleicht (connaisseur). on the comrades ep, these two musicians team up with benjamin wild. benjamin wild produced ambient music in the early nineties. since the mid-90s his focus has been turning to dance music. you might know some recordings he did for kompakt, perlon, morris audio, force tracks and many other labels. let them out and enjoy!

a story about a man separated from his group of travellers, lost in the amazon rainforest. he comes across a small settlement inhabited by people of a completely different mindset and way of living. they take him in and show him how to look at the world in an alternative way, which evokes an incredible revelation in him. he then goes off into the wilderness alone in search of his comrades, and everything is completely different to how he first perceived. this is extremely overwhelming and euphoric. he eventually finds himself at the top of a gigantic tree that stands tall as the sky, right at the crest of a majestic waterfall. as his journey peaks, he jumps from the tree into the water below. as he surfaces for air, things seem normal again. as is if it had never happened, but he knows something in him has changed. his companions are waiting at the bank of the river for him. he rejoins the group. as they head for basecamp, he realises there is no way that he will ever be able to express what he experienced that day. his journey is his own, and always will be.

deep dark industrial ambient. a slowly evolving soundscape with boiling buzzing sounds, resonating through the dark world.the berserk was perhaps one of the world s best fighters, which in old norse time sworn allegiance to the norse god odin. before a battle berserkers excited each other up and occurred in bearskin or wolf skin, hence the word berserk. in the beginning of the battle they performed exceptionally talented, indifferent battlers, but in close combat they fell into berserk. then they howled like wild beasts, probably to frighten the enemy and incite their comrades and themselves, and then get into rages. a berserk in battle were said not to bother about any injuries, and was therefore until the enemy, or they died.

after the well received all creation 12s delsin records drops yotokos >wet ink<. yotoko are shifty & domu (jcr, 2000black, archive). yotoko stands for a perfect fusion between broken beat, techno and soul.
their album is not about breaking barriers, but it is their own little twisted version of what they call techno. for yotoko techno can be heard in everything, so as such it is all techno. domu and shifty are influenced by lots of different stuff, soul, jazz, disco, hip hop, techno, some old break beat, new broken stuff.. as well 20 pence mad charity shop finds.. the album is about yotoko making music they think is cool and realizing that all this music is the same no matter what the bpm or groove.
domu started as sonar circle for 4 heros reinforced label. later on active as domu for labels as archive and 2000 black and together with archive label boss volcov for the jcr-label with their album as rima. shifty is domus longtime comrade, making his first musical public appearance as yotoko. the albums artwork will be done by amsterdams machine, who already took care of the kindred spirits releases.

belgian producers sierra sam & marcus vector return to their house-oriented project d.i.y. (dumb irresponsible youth) for three more sly, sexy groovers, with contributions from dop, big bully and markus fix.
while sam and marcus are generally known for their more techno-focused productions, last years house tools vol. 1 was a minor hit, with tracks included in ellen alliens resident advisor podcast, jay hazes recent fabric47 mix cd, and m.a.n.d.y.s charts. since then, they ve kept busy with their own toys for boys label, meanwhile sierra sam has co-produced the debut album by bloody mary on contexterrior.
still, they ve found the time to crank out these new elegant-yet-sleazy cuts, and while vol. 1 was purely instrumental, for vol. 2 they ve roped in some guest vocalists. first up is their collab with comrades dop (circus company, eklo, supplement facts). >kilimanjaro< features d.i.y.s tribal bounce combined with dops seedy, trent reznor-on-opiates vocal delivery.
the flipside has two versions of >suck my caulk<: d.i.y.s original elevates thelevel of melody and sunshine, weaving in the voice of big bully (known forhis work on spectral, get physical and vakant). markus fix of cecille offers his own interpretation, bringing the track down into deep house territory. placed in the right hands, these tools can do some serious dancefloor damage!

dortmunds very own ‚diskobär, the inimitable ante perry prepares for new double cd long-player extravaganza , flashing disco sounds, with two cuts exclusively produced with close studio comrades tube & berger. these hot co-productions between the long-time buddies simply cannot fail to get the party going. the overwhelming anthemic stir of human you is evident for the very start, but its true dancefloor potential can only be understood after the full ecstatic wonder of the breakdown pours out over a large crowd. super-constructed tech-discohouse is where its at in this high intensity, high drama, big room flashing disco monster. the curiously titled walthervondervogelweide on the other hand is a more brooding beast altogether. working the underlying tension and keeping the pressure tightly locked to the floor its a dangerous late night dancefloor workout... left in the wrong hands this could seriously damage your ability to leave the dancefloor! finally fellow dortmund heavy-calibre producer peter jürgens works his remixing magic and twists human you into a housed up, long building affair that operates on a more stripped, subterranean level to begin with but bursts out above ground with carefully timed energy. warm driving beats and pads layer to reveal the identifying melody of the original.

once again featuring long-term toddla collaborator serocee, >>soundtape killin<< comes on like a bashment anthem for the electro age. undoubtedly a dance floor smash serocees cut and spliced vocals get down with a dirty electro beat which is intermittently interrupted by pulsating synths. remixes come courtesy of hotly tipped newcomers detboi and nastee boi. following on from a number of painfully limited 12inch – most notably on herves new cheep thrills imprint – irish sensation detboi delivers a rarefied electro banger of a remix. on the back of this, garage rude boy and t2 comrade nastee boi, drops a bassline infused version that is equally infectious.

sven vaeth and his comrade-in-arms rambled into the night like wild animals scouting out their trail, impelled by an insatiable desire for life. only a quick glance into the wild animals eyes is necessary to make us want to join this adventure.
