lillygood party! is a label focused on licencing tracks that alex and stephane play for years at their parties. the aim is to re-edit and revisit those jams from soul to house , jazz to afro, boogie to techno and make us and people enjoy and smile on the dancefloor because those tunes are really really good both tracks here are classics dancefloors tunes, nothing rare, just favourite tunes that alex and stéphane play in their sets. on the a side the onwards international version is longer than the original and the arrangement quiet different for more intense dancefloor action. here they both worked on the edit to find the right balance and the right sound in order to revisit the uk classic jazz funk number, a firm favourite here lillygood! the b side is an amazing disco modern soul gospel track from elbernita twinkie clark already reissued some time ago but the cherry on the cake is that you have here a 12inch version extended and a new mastering for extra loud play this version is slightly different than the original, alex extended parts: the beginning with drum intro looped for mixing and changed the end to make it longer keeping the original flavour. please enjoy as much as we do because we love those edits, we love those tunes, we love music we are very happy to share with you these limited vinyls releases

matter of the heart! district 66s co-owner clark davis established with the labels 3rd ep a symbiosis of the past, present and future. the a1 and b1 reduced and functional original tracks are remixed by two of davis respected producers. in the late 90ies, alexander kowalski was one of the key artist which influenced him and still remains with his very own signature sound. nowadays state-of-the-art markus suckut reflects with his minimalism and on the point grooves the artistic present and future of davis definition of techno.

sometimes amongst all the music that we hear every day, something comes along so unique and brilliant that its captivates your mind and soul and refuses to let go. that was exactly what happened when we first heard dokta - the ex-studio engineer with the freshest take on electronic music we have heard for a long time. fusing a fully analog working method & live instrumentation with a breathtakingly unique arrangement style, dokta combines all his experience working with some of the best in the business and transcends it into one hypnotic stream of genre defying mastery. for his first ep on 20/20 we are fortunate enough to have remixes from fabric resident jay clarke, and a collaborative contribution from seth troxler and bas ibellini. it is a major milestone for 20/20 to finally have a seth troxler production on the label. he has been a great inspiration for us and hugely supportive of our output over the years. seth went into the studio with good friend bas and came out with a remix worthy of dokta s long abstract arrangements. we hope you enjoy, and with an album in the pipeline for later this year we promise there is a lot more to come

mike clark, detroit beatdown founder and former ur operative agent x, gives some love to weather report s wonderful river people. there are two versions on this translucent green 12inch. the beatdown rework and the house mix. both are stone-cold bombs. jaco pastorius awesome bass line and joe zawinul s cascading synths primed for the dance floor. mike has done an amazing job on a modern jazz classic. don t sleep on this. vinyl only. limited to 500.

gospel disco time again!!!! after the sucess of -the power of you re love- we deceded to pull out a couple more of our gospel disco dancefloor favorites. elbernita -twinkie- clark-terrell ( who was in the the clark sisters before going solo) recorded this beast for the lp ye shall receive power in 1980-81 for armen boladian s sound of gospel records out of detroit (a sub of the mighty westbound records). both tracks featured on the lp only so desperatly need some 45 action. i m not going to try and sell you this one with tales of its history all you need to do is drop the needle (or press the little play icon)..... straight up monster dancefloor destructor.

talk about the legends of house and kenny dope gonzalez holds one of the undisputed seats in the gallery. since breaking out of brooklyn as new york house began to dominate the 1990s the dope man rose to the very top with masters at work, gaining a peerless reputation as beatmaker, producer and dj. originally brought to strictly rhythm as a teenager by todd terry, he became one of the key producers in forging the strictly sound through releases by the untouchables and total kaos, and his work with louie vega on the sole fusion and hardrive projects. back home at strictly with a fresh new production (for the first time since 1999), kenny teams up with another legend of house, roland clark (aka south st player) for talk dirty, a rumbustious, risque excursion that sees clark delivering one of his trademark monologues over kenny s perfect beats. it s a fitting sound for the 900 number the landmark nine hundredth single released on strictly rhythm

dublin based disco imprint fatty fatty phonographics return with the 4th instalment of their downtownsounds classics series, this time throwing three stone-cold classics onto one 12, all given the re-edit treatment by in house producers pablo and shoey. voiced by leroy burgess, with drums by hip hop legend marley marl and production by the aleem brothers, release yourself was a huge across-the-board anthem in the clubs of nyc on its release in 1984. the lads have superglued elements of both the vocal and dub sides together for an epic end of night take on this beloved classic. the b side features two under appreciated classics from the pen of one billy nichols, a man known for his work with west end records (the levan mixed give your body up to the music ) and the funky band of brothers that was bt express. on take me... nichols hooked up with disco master patrick adams for an emotional, string drenched disco belter that has found favour with the likes of dimitri from paris, floating points and hunee. while dance if off is a wonky proto acid-disco trip beloved of rahaan and eric duncan of rub n tug. with copies going for over 300 euros, you can do your bank account and your dancefloor a favour here.

back in 2015 our bearded dirtybird player, will clarke, needed a secret weapon for some of his festival gigs for the summer. he sampled the ghetto house legend, dj funk, who made an appearance on dirtybird back in 2013 for the kill frenzy smash, “make that booty clap”. will passed it on to the rest of the dirtybird crew, and before we knew it the track took a life of it’s own and quickly became one of the most requested tracks, even to this day. will ended up linking with dj funk himself, and they turned what was a quick bootleg into a full blown collaboration. ladies & gentlemen, “booty percolatin’” is officially here. for the flip side, we added will’s solo effort “house girl”, a bumpin’ ride with a contagious bassline and chanting vocals for all the ‘house boys’ and ‘house girls”

while being a rare patrick adams and billy nichols production, mary clark’s “take me i’m yours” has in recent years become one of the most celebrated disco tracks by contemporary deejays. this borderline gospel-disco gem has all the elements of a timeless disco cut, a driving bass line, powefully arranged strings and horns, but most importantly, a very soulful performance by mary clark. like many of peter brown’s “affliate” labels, little is known about them or the artists recorded. originaly released in 1980 on ‘la shawn’, it is rumored to have been no more than 200 records originally pressed, making this one of the most sought 12 inches among collectors.

as mood ii swing, production duo lem springsteen and john ciafone became one of the most in-demand remixers in the late 90s. the duo s production career began modestly, however. after a failed attempt at r&b, the two turned to house music. early productions such as sylvano s * helpless* and wall of sound s *critical* were a step in the right direction, as were releases such as -i need a bitch- for cutting and -searchin - for groove on, but it was the duo s remixes of ultra naté s * free* for strictly rhythm that struck gold. the song became a huge hit and soon mood ii swing was remixing big-name producers like bt (-remember-) and king britt (* the reason*) as well as the next ultra naté single, * found a cure*, which also became a huge hit record around the world. then, as a testament to the duos success, the new york-based nervous have dug up the remixes mood ii swing did for the label during their seminal mid 90s period re mastered and re released on wax for 2016.

absolutely huge record from the shelter vaults! roland clark killing it on this underground house anthem from the turn of the millenium. i get deep (shelter mix) is pure peak time joy, based around a rough looping sample lifted from blue magics seminal philly anthem welcome to the club from 1976 and with clarks vocals telling us how he gets down in the club over some heavyweight drums. simple, yet devastatingly effective. this 12inch also features the dub mixes, original mix and the always indispensable acapella version for those who wish to create their own version!
