DETOURS EP (REMIXES FROM OCH, VOLT.MAR) VINYL ONLY
Coloured 12 Inch 08.11.13
the cultured minimood extra label introduces london based newcomer tcherneyan with remixes from the mighty och and minimoods own volt.mar on green colour vinyl. the a1 is provided by och, producer of the legendary whalesong, and consists of icy hi-hat ringlets and rippling dub techno chords, which merge into a slice of prime time excellence. next a2 mauvais présage is a deep techno track built around a dumpy kick drum that gets slowly embellished with skating and skirting percussion and distant groaning chords that sound like sad monsters. the b side opens with tcherneyans second original b1 vision, an eerie, vast and empty open space of chilly synths and echoing voices. finally, volt.mar on b2 then reworks mauvais présage into something that lurks with menace in some desolate industrial park where intriguing synth lines weave their own path and white noise blasts occasionally jolt you from your trance. much like the previous release, minimmood have struck stripped back, deep and dubby techno gold with this latest ep. vinyl only / no repress!

audiolith - musical luckybag with a masterplan. ten years from now, back in 2003 the label started as musical one-man-show without any kind of business plan. a decade has passed since then and audiolith grew into a proper company with two associates, employees, office, online mailorder store and not less than 200 releases under its belt. but still some things never change, especially when it comes to release politics. no matter what ever style comes in whenever the boss likes it there will be a release. no compromise, no fear of failure that is what audiolith is all about and lars lewerenz is, has been and stays the musically approving authority, no matter if we talk electropunk, drum n bass, indie or punkrock, hiphop, trap, deep. emotin-driven house or electropop. his widely varied taste is the reason why audiolith still remains fresh and surprising a musical luckybag, but one with a masterplan. now the year is 2013 and audiolith is still loved by many - and hated by some for giving away golden gifts to fans instead of waiting for presents itself.

a 4/4 grumble garnished with lashings of spruced creamy loose mousse, will stay (asleep) longs for grazing in yonder meadows. more dancefloor ammo a la gcw. flame serves as a constant shifting platform of rhythmic maneuvers. constrained compression builds into an alliance of syncopated pressure points, sliding along to a gliding and well-constructed industrial & yet haunting melody. lush. again. came as it went is almost retrospect in its deep house communication. collective thoughts solidify an incessant groove, pulsating and driving stylish hands up in the air shit with its muscular intro volve fattens out its thuds and relinquishes any timidness bound inside, then steady paces a woeful glow. the pitter patter of tiny cut ups emit misfortune for a heady array of beautiful feelings. the thumping work out of make it strips back to traditional wasserfall form, making fundamental elements count & creating that signature groove off. in tune and on point.

the relentless work ethic of dj w!ld shows no sign of slowing down with another amazing ep, this time through his own imprint the w label, that unleashes four new tracks plus a dubbed out remix. in contrast to his recent output on other labels the four tracks sit firmly in the dj tools category with stripped back arrangements, raw-to-the-bone underground house grooves and drums showcasing all that is good about the parisians highly in-demand dj sets. head-nodding tribal infused percussion is the main theme with tracks blind and miami bitch setting the scene with a brass breakdown in the latter that is sure to send shivers down spines. narco switches things up with its core element focused around a shoulder shaking bass organ straight out of the 90s. on board gets and original and re-worked dub outing with hypnotic congas and a vocal that loops inside the mind.
limited nice price action !!!

we feel very honored to present our new baby rue de plaisance-re issue to the world. we are starting this project to re-release some of our favorite tracks from back in the days, as we believe they need to be made known to the new and upcoming generation. these are our rootz. for our first opus we have invited from the uk the infamous duo >idjut boys< who surely have much to offer with over 20 years of releasing contemporary dance music all over the globe. for our first issue we chose their track >not reggae< supported by forward thinking mixes by varoslav and david k who pushed those classics to another level. we hope, all of you, will enjoy this new project as much as we do. quality timeless music on vinyl...

on the a-side we are treated to two slammin tracks, vodka & valium & bring it back are both the perfect mix between uk garage & house. studio wizard crackazat, last heard on our sub-label oneoffs, re-built the track into a piano driven house track infused with lots of melodies.
if chicago and detroit are the cities in which house and techno were born and raised, it was in italy circa 1990 that this delirious party music experienced a piano-driven coming of age. so far, so spangled. but while that may be the official story, there are other italian narratives too. take francois le roy and nanni for instance - two djs and producers from southern italy for whom, in the early nineties, the likes of aphex twin, autechre and air liquide were important, alongside the machine funk of detroit and the immersive soundtracks of the ambient generation. both artists are steeped in underground club music, and their new release on shabby doll records is a fine example of tough, tech-edged house. the *crossing roads* ep features four tracks that showcase their melodic yet relentless groove, they may be based in milan, but on this record, the influence of detroit, chicago and new york runs deep.
the auf togo combination of clement cachot-coulom from the fabulous penetrators and sasa crnobrnja, one half of in flagranti are back with a follow up 12 inch for leng. once again they blend the warm analogue sounds with a dancefloor approach this time bringing in some vocals on old models that sit over a tight live drum beat and guitar work. waiting for beggi gets a balearic workout with more hazy guitars, percussion and a killer bassline.
