here we present you a very special ep. riverettes first record of 2016 is a very special one indeed,comprised of two special tracks made by two very special artists. we have been holding onto this one for quite a while as we were afraid putting this two tracks on one record would be overkill, but screw it! - we have never believed there is such a thing as too much awesomeness.
side a sees legowelt doing an edit kind of song in the most legowelt way possible and its not even an edit. the result ... craziness my friends, as can only be done by the mad man himself.
side b is quite a different beast, and one that is quite dear to our heart, as it is the debut of local producing duo dos attack. not ones to release much info about themselves we only know that their debut track was so good it was decided to be put on the other side of a legowelt track.

back in soviet times when the official local music market was controlled by the biggest record monopoly in history melodiya, many local musicians who wanted to express themselves in actual form, released tapes themselves and spread it through a big underground market network called magnitizdat (short of magnetic tape release). it began in the 60s with soviet rock movement and illegal copies of foreign music which got through border with tourists, seamen and diplomats. in the late 80s you could find there many different shades of music from underground protest rock, post punk, avant-garde to a lot of electronic pop, local kind of italo disco and dj s mixtapes with a personal rap on top of it. plus seven records begins a sublable series of remastered edits which narrate about dance part of this story.

lanthan.audio kicked off 2016 with its third release. label owner, christian gerlach, has already delivered two powerful punches of conceptual techno by artists like edit select and deepbass. this time the south african born, new york based producer the echologist has been chosen to lead the five track ep. echologist, also known as brendon moeller, has always demonstrated his passion for hypnotic synths with intense smoky atmospheres. he delivers two original tracks that have then been remixed by a familiar name to the label, deepbass, as well as the talented antonio ruscito. with the original cuts you can expect a trippy journey into metallic loops on a spatial environment of solid beats. the deepbass remix offers another version of the hypnotic process in ‘dead men tell no tales’ in a more powerful manner. on the flipside, the italian, antonio ruscito delivers two other interpretations of the original track through different paths. the b2 serves us a proper banging synthetic vibe and the last bonus track, which is digital only, is the final trip to an hypnotic and cloudy deepspace. with this package lanthan.audio continues showing interest on a structural sound with that artistic touch of architecture. expect to see some more new constructions of they’re new building.
