good morning children, welcome to school ! what might be known from ipoly mate 003, got a very different context here in the title track. heavy club food, flavoured by alec troniqs love for the energy of the early 90s. the chain was originally induced by old man trouble and then impulsively got the blues by alec troniq. it has a special place in their hearts and continues alec s series of crossovercollaborations in 2014.
the new isolade release by dusty kid is a strictly sardinian affair (all involved artists are from sardinia) with tracks and remixes as varied as the island itself. in a playtime of 32 minutes you will experience magical, ambient, pushing, chilling or rough moments depending on the track/mix you hear. from the dancefloor hit *omega x* to the rough and dry version of the same track remixed by claudio prc and from the reduced but spheric hubble remix of *escape* to the gorgeous and epic saffron keira reinterpretation of *sandalyon*. if you cant make it to sardinia in the near future this is your alternative route for a short break.

it has been over a year since the last schmorgasbord release dropped, which saw al tourettes (better known now as second storey) rubbing up against paradroid in a mix up of electro, techno and electronica styles. now the label returns with bass clef and frak, who were asked to each commit a half-finished sketch of a track to tape, exchange tapes and finish off each others tracks. bass clef has been a strong solo force on the electronic music scene since he first emerged in the wider bass music field in 2006, and has since released on idle hands, punch drunk, pan and public information as well as running his own magic + dreams imprint. swedish trio frak have been releasing since their debut album in 1987 when they were thirteen years old. the swedish trio have been active for most of that time, running borft records and releasing a huge amount of music as well as performing live. in recent years they have enjoyed more recognition with releases on kontra musik, digitalis and sex tags mania. schmorgasbord launched in 2011 with a release that saw appleblim and october collaborating for the first time. it was followed up by a release from s-max and spatial.

fantastic limited reissue of one of the holy grails of the balearic scene. recorded in 1981 by guy cuevas, a cuban-born dj living in paris, every track is a killer. side a features the full seven minute 12inch version of ebony games an epic latin-tinged disco-funk floor-filler and for most the stand-out track, but side b’s mesmerising dubbed-out everywhere is my home and the sweet slo-mo groover inside my mind are also brilliant. excellent stuff!
