ir103 * the jazzy grooves ep*, was the 3rd release in i records history. having already struck a nerve in house music with two vinyl compilations called -the avenue project-, the label enlisted the talents of the now legendary duo -jazz n groove- to provide it s first all original artist ep. delivering the firepower, the release featured 5 tracks and included the long awaited -open up-. first released in the mid 90 s,it was featured as an exclusive vinyl with full color labeling. this release has become one of the hardest i records back catalog to find.

jeroens commemorating his roots by re-releasing a selection of search records from days gone by. each has been remastered in such a way that it retains its authentic and timeless energy. pressed onto fresh vinyl, this limited series contains some of the finest search tracks ever to be put out, handpicked by jeroen himself. in light of that it might be easily forgotten that jeroen search has been creating techno since the early nineties. and that he ran one of the most influential labels around back then: >search<. between 1996 and 2001 it was home to a host of releases, many from jeroen himself. released on vinyl and without any reprints, they ve since hidden in the record collections of a select few.

with this first ep, s.o.n.s pays homage to the early age of electronic dance music, when techno, house and trance were friendly to each other, when tracks were full of deepness and harmonics, when drums were crazy and raw, when techno was soulful. yeah, this is all about this ep, some soulful deep techno excursions. while the a1 is an after-hours emotional weapon freely inspired by an obscure m. goddard production some will recognize, the a2 is a more straight forward electro track with dark vocals and rising chords, as they made it in detroit back in the days. on the other side of the record is a techno journey through a rainforest with pan flute, deep chords and old school bassline. plus there is a little bonus locked groove: a mere 4/4 tr909 bass drum s.o.n.s personally uses in their crazy obscure techno mixes. turquoise vinyl + foil sticker on cover, limited to 200 copies. mastered by matt colton (l.i.e.s, apron…)

roadside edits are back, their first 12inch was a very limited pressing, and it sold out faster than moonshine back in the prohibition days, so they have repressed it, and for good measure they have added their foot stomping edit moonshine on the a side, its a liquid disco funk hoe down thigh slapping drunken stomp, funky and slide guitars, the odd brass stab here and there, throw in a bit of organ with some chunky pianos, add some guy laughing and we are good to go. b1 gets going with a funky disco cosmic groover with some wicked wah wah guitar, strings, effects, cool synths and tight drums, all bound to get them moving on the dance floor. b2 groove is so infectious with some sweet harmonica solos, tight bass and soaring strings that lifts this track and the crowd to cloud
