We start with “Spring Shadow” which starts us on our journey with a subtly kick with steely percussion that slowly builds until a sharp annihilating snare slams in reminding us that this is a serious dance floor filler. As we move through the track dark vox roll in to bring another element to the mood of the track that tightly weaves it all together.

David Duriez’s take on “Spring Shadow,” maintains the same steely percussion of the original, a heavier kick is added while still utilizing many elements of the original. David’s version builds to take us to another place; uplifting synths slowly glide into play taking us to a whimsical land without ever losing the peak hour dance floor flair of the original.

On the B-side Jepe provides two more well crafted house pieces, starting with the 1999 mix of “Dare.” The track right away takes us on an adventure with foghorn like sounds that emerge from solid percussive grooves until ethereal like synths come into play that brings the dance floor to a land of airy delight.

On our final stop we reach “The Grind,” a heavy kick drum immediately tells us to go directly to the dance floor with deep roaring bass lines and abstract percussive noises that bring the basic elements of the track together. Then slowly creeping up on us are the lush synths that take us to a place of higher consciousness and then back down to reality but leaving us feeling fresh and inspired.
