free soul 1969 the groove is heavy too ñ and a popular hip hop sample ñ but really itís all about klemmerís blisteringly intense, stream of consciousness freak-out. been sampled over 16x from ini to ed o g & da bulldogs to kurious, akinyele, dred scott to name a few. klemmer just wyles out on the sax keep that psychedelic funk moving!! side b. up above the rock edit 1968 you wonít find too many jazz songs that start with a drum break, but then this is probably one of the better jazz/soul hybrids iíve heard in some time. produced by richard evans this song is a perfect display of acoustic jazz funk with ron carter & grady tate filling out the rhythm section. dance floor classic!
