m.ono & luvless join forces for the seventh release on leipzig s much loved rose records the pair runs and curates alongside martin hayes & l.sluter. the duo impressed a few years ago with sought-after joint productions on upmarket labels like o*rs and kolour ltd and now steps up to the plate with a pair of pitch-perfect burners for their own imprint for the label s first 10- release. synth lines set the mood on the a with the delectable double you. crisp drums set the pace, carefully arranged percussive elements, a teasing vocal and a monumental breakdown take care of the rest. on the flipside we have happy chap. a quintessential rose fare with its tight drums, vocal snips and the sort of deadly piano work that is such a staple in m.ono and luvless productions.
deeper, harder, warmer... here comes a sixth release from serie limitee records: 250 copies only this time, still 180g and pressed loud. this time, the label is paying its respects to chicago by signing a track from legendary jordan fields. jemaho, also pays tribute the windy city with a jazzy pearl, >from dee to chee<. on the b side, the sl family is glad to welcome two new members: 99letters, a japanese techno talent, and uncle deep for some classic deep vibes. as always, expect a mysterious bonus track by the label manager, monsieur cedric.
SOUNDS OF THE UNIVERSE: ART + SOUND PT. 2 (2X12 LP)
2x12 Inch LP 29.06.15
soul jazz records new sounds of the universe: art + sound 2012-15 is a new double album cd (and two separate volumes of double-vinyl) featuring a line-up of some of the most forward-thinking and progressive artists and producers working with electronic music around the world today. the limited edition double vinyl comes in gatefold sleeve with full artwork.
this release captures kicks, rhythms, and snares—only to drag them kicking and screaming into a metallic underworld. in j. tijn’s echo-sphere, there are only allusions to the status quo of sound and beats, and never a full-fledged embrace of the conventional. on side a’s “kanon v.i.p.” a grizzly digital war is left to play out between both kick and snare, with grainy battle lines drawn around upbeat and downbeat. survivors of the conflict are rewarded with a groove reminiscent of grime, if only the genre had been reborn in a dystopian future. side b opens with a roughneck beat on “mor” before turning its hand into a fist and effectively destroying its own image. the groove lives through this barrage of sound, but as a heavy and dark undercurrent just strong enough to remind you where j.tijn’s roots are. “shy” lures you in with a rounded electro kick, before glutting the rhythm and ushering in a wall of sound. a snowstorm of screaming drum samples proceed to surround you: you may have been here before, but you are somewhere rhythmically unseen. embedded in all of these tracks are perhaps a sign of the times: the things that used to be seen as normal have now changed and mutated.
klopfgeist is back with a vengeance. *life in the clouds* is the anticipated debut album of niels schilder aka malbetrieb. the vinyl sampler features two original album tracks plus a remix by sebastian mullaert from minilogue. also on the ep is malbetriebs exclusive *wa wu we dub* as featured in his recent sets and podcasts. limited copies available. remixes will be released on vinyl only.
the project named after his own label brand presents four cuts ranging from cosmic quantum nervous compulsion to introspection. harmonious combination of complex percussive rhythms gives way to the already identifiable sonic universe of 30drop that turns into an effective formula at any club aimed at the forefront of the electronic dance music. sacred geometry and style, concept and form, all to the service of the fundamental search. the roots are deep and horizon is vast. >superconductivity ep< extends the scope of 30drop positioning on the edge of the sideral dance floor.
polo is the odds-on of kann s favorite djs. as a longterm label friend finally he makes his debut on the hometown label. with „route“ he modulated 4 trippy mental and uncomplaining tracks that accord with his dj sets as decent but mindblowing journeys into deepest house & techno. welcome polo!

michael l penman s lazy boy opens up proceedings on a dark and hypnotic tip with dreamy pad lines, modulating bass tones and weighty distorted rhythms. belgium s igor vicente reworks lazy boy next and provides a more reduced take on things with sparse percussive elements and menacing atmospheres. on the flip side scott kemp turns in sirma , a subtly unfolding groove-led number built around stripped rhythms and soft synth flourishes, while sascha dive rounds off the package by reshaping sirma into a brooding, seven-minute mesmeric workout.
sakadat return with their fourth vinyl release by ukrainian born yaroslav lenzyak featuring his track osmosis 10 minutes of stripped back minimal loops & grooves that this label have becoming famous for. on the b side canadian electronic artist pheek supplies the remix rounding off this vinyl only release
finally hydergine joins the knotweed records family! hydergine (aka roberto corizzo) is a techno producer from southern italy. he is best known for producing raw dub techno, and has come up with a string of fantastic releases in the last 3 years on labels such as separate skills and ranges.we have been talking to each other since the early days of knotweed records, trying to find the right tracks for the label. roberto approached us at the beginning of the year with some tracks that were a bit -different- than his usual productions: he was experimenting, and we liked it a lot. that s how the gamma experiments e.p. was born.the a side of the gamma experiments e.p. is a heavy atmospheric techno bomb. both tracks on the b side have more an acid feeling to them, incorporating weird arps, rawness and pad trips.enjoy the ride!
if john daly returns to his own one track records it means business. his lush techno style (rooted in early 90 s detroit techno) meets balearic vibes resulting in a true deep house excursion that comes in 3 versions! recommended!
the peer pressure ep from the under-rated mark forshaw finds scenery records once again highlighting the rich strain of local production talent in the liverpool area. involved in the merseyside scene since the 90s, forshaw has released on labels like mathematics, tabernacle and apartment and is also a member of phantom planet outlaws with john heckle and binny. if you ve checked forshaw s prior output you will be happy with peer pressure as soon as the grubby, jacked up house of the title track hits its groove, with his four other cuts heading down a similarly unpredictable path. kudos to scenery for seeking out swedish producer daniel andreasson to remix the title track too! this is another no nonsense ep from scenery that is lovably rugged and unpredictably creative
we are glad to present this especially charismatic ep called the balance. headlined by talented musician from uk - oliver rees with his weighty acid motive. for the balance between old and new worlds, this ep contains motives produced by usa new york based mates nathan kersaint, ivan melnik and tony werk.

oniris returns with new ep on astropolis records. this 4-track maxi includes a gregor tresher remix and has been composed with the same ingredients that made his the fame of the producer: a melodic techno and a smooth universe in which groove accents coexist with more obscure sounds.

pawas is someone we have admired for a while for his work ethic and talent. his multicultural background was a nice mix into the equation as we push to bring together and collaborate with artists from various regions and influences.
we have started a new project from a new part of finish team records only on vinyl. for the first release we have made a 4 track e.p. with the main artists of the label: manu p, andrea rubolini, aumrec & gabriele orsini. first track is composed by manu p, and is named el torito. is the perfect track for the summer time, with a latin tech house with a huge bass and melodic voice, perfect for the middle of the night set. the second is a track by andrea rubolini (the crowd), also here a huge bass during all the track and a melodic synth that characterized the track. the third track by aumrec (elonove), is more techno, with lot of strange and secret minimal part and a solid and fresh kick. gabriele orsini also composed the fourth track (the suspect), a techno and intense travel trough the dark techno scene.
* rust* is the debut single from the new collaborative project between harry agius (better known as midland) and vocalist robbie redway. the project was formed in leeds, written in london and finished in berlin under the influence of ewan pearson. as midland, harry agius has built a reputation for releasing delicately brilliant bass driven house and techno, and over the course of his various releases he has hinted at a desire to explore sounds away from the dancefloor. coupled with the songwriting talents and vocals of robbie redway, *rust* is the first taste of that exploration.
laurine frost and denis kaznacheev teamed up to syud. their first ep ‘soho’ based on studio tapes which were recorded earlier in a small village not too far from moscow. all the three extraordinary pieces obviously contain modular synth, field recording elements and show the alloy of unique frost-kaznacheev style. tricky rumbling, heavy rolling basslines and crazy concept. joyfully intelligent tunes inside and outside of the dancefloors.
italian records strikes again with another retro-futuristic step through its kult 80s catalog. in the late 70s gaznevada has been one of the most relevant italian punk-wave band coming to light from italian underground scene. in 1982 with i.c. love affair gaznevada moved from post-punk to new-wave pop electronic, this tune is, without any doubt, considered as a proto-house disco, an anthem on the most important clubs all over the world. for this special 2015 release italian records included in the package reconstructions by i-robots and giangi cappai, the already well know munk edit and finally & officially the david depino edit
tzinah on black continues its odyssey with a second installment, delivering on wax the sounds of - an emblematic artist for tzinah - dani casarano, an enigmatic whiz kid - silat beksi and a fresh & promising member to our crew - derek. on the a1 side, setnup embodies casaranos adventures through the hypnotic sound of minimal. stretching from the lowest frequencies all the way to an uplifting atmosphere, we have got a serious case of massive basslines and heavy beats. the b-side continues the story with >its all about feeling<, that displays a trademark arrangement of silat beksi, taking us on an euphoric trip with his percussion-rich signature sound. and because we love an authentic rhythm, derek brings on the b2 a crystal-clear ambience with his solid drums from >aphe soft<, as an after-hour mood and a pinch of minimal romanian sound was all that we needed to complete this release. so, make room in your bag for our second vinyl-only tzinah on black release! from tzinah, with love
limited edition of 400 on clear vinyl with screen printed artwork. organic analogue records returns to present its second release from georgian producer hvl. away from everything we know, is the perfect balance struck between a meditative state and playful electronic experimentation, for all its subtlety it s an incredibly detailed piece of work that deals in myriad layers of tone and pulse. to bring a fresh perspective, la-based artist gabriel reyes-whittaker, perhaps better known for his gifted & blessed project, steps into the reflektor guise to drop a plush remix of away from everything we know
berlin head mike davis drops four tracks of uncompromising techno taking inspiration from the raw side of house music and 90 s 303 acid culture, what makes this collection stand out is its freeness. it could be argued that the structure and arrangements fall more in line with jazz than traditional techno. mike manages to avoid the constraints of techno production and delivers natural yet unpredictable arrangements. themes and moods change throughout taking you on a journey through berlin via detroit.
this summer sees british producer james barnsley, a resident at the legendary back to basics in leeds, launch his vessel records imprint with a release from himself featuring scan mode and a remix from daze maxim.

coeter is the owner of kaputt (germany). he offers us a massive release with some friends. happy to receive 3 producers for the remixes for this fantastic release, as knobs, mike wall & logotech, great job indeed.
bristol based borai kicks off volume 4 with thinking of you, a clean, classic take on house music. strongly recognized for his productions on labels like chicago s tasteful nudes, retrofit and needwant, borai s contribution to volume 4 continues his ode to classic deep house with upbeat drums and straightforward melodies that nod to the new york & new jersey anthems of yore.

WHAT IF YOU NEVER SLEEP? (O. OFFERMANN / HONEY DIJON RMXS)
12 Inch 17.06.15
what if you never sleep? sally rodgers (a man called adam) has written these few words, that anyone can imagine his own night story on. the 2 french boys patrick vidal (marie et les garçons) and laurent caligaris (working withterrence parker, enola, scan x) get the balance rigth for a nigth walking closed to art dep. iconic honey dijon (classic, ny) delivers a pure old school chicagos style remix as oskar offermann (white/hardmoon, berlin) goes step by step into a beautifull rythmic, melodic, hypnotic remix.
poland s father and son records and tapes present first proper outing from label boss maciek sienkiewicz - three heavily edited tunes from different periods of popular music history. -the white sheik- turns an obscure 80s eastern bloc groove into a full-on modern disco stormer, while -no shit sherlock- is 70s brazilian fusion redux. finally, the title track turns first few notes of one massive pop hit from 02 into hypnotic, entrancing journey in the vein of terry riley or philip glass. fantastic cover art designed especially for this release by renowned contemporary artist paulina olowska.
