limited white vinyl repress due to high demand on requests. on its second release, the fresh label eating records, native of brussels, embarks us on its most unlikely underground journey yet .the new project includes two beautiful tracks from the deep flows of house music, from the unfamous talented producer from kiev, io (mulen). there s no point in trying to place io or his music in some larger social picture. no need to talk about his intensive production. his successful releases can be found on imprints such as rejected (joris voorn), propaganda (nastia), elarum and his own mulen records which he started in 2012 and that released his stunning debut album within 2013. on flutes/creeps ep, he thrives on fantastic impossibilities including flutes and deep melodic basses. it is obvious that mister io had a wonderful time making the two tracks. flutes comes up as victorious and gallant. it is an energizing shock full of curious noises, mesmerizing musical surprises, a real dancefloor track. creeps is discreet and dark, and remains beautifully deep. this track finds io wrenching as much sweetness out of it as he possibly can, in return giving us our first indication that he is in a generous spirit. when this ep comes to an end, it feels like getting back from a good vacation: the last thing you want to do is re-enter the real world.

dancefloor shaman barac joins the ranks of our label. his signature sound has accompanied us on countless night-time adventures already, providing a unique space of mind to lose ourselves in. here, we are treated to three slowly unfurling pieces, each approaching the mental plane on its own terms. >beyond the gates, they were free< spreads over the full a-side. drop the needle for a playful affair, with lush modulations calling back to the glory days of goa trance. it is a mesmerising track, geared towards renewing the heady communal experiences we have come to miss. the flip side takes us further still, with two stripped-back and deeply dubbed workouts: >i shall not be taken< homes in on baracs inimitable sonicalia, seamlessly fusing the psychedelic with the sublime. >the fall of man< closes things out in fine style, as a sidewinding drum circle entrenches itself into our minds with each rotation. not to be taken lightly, this one.

written a few years ago, black pigeon is one of fonoms first produced tracks. freshly re-mastered in 2018, the track emerges as the first release of the new producers self-run label fonos. the original engulfs in deep and dark tones with synthesizer orchestrations vividly portraying talk, communication and agonizing cry of cybernetic pigeons, while the other tracks are variations of the original as reworked by eduardo de la calle. the remixer employs jazz elements to introduce further variety of rhythm and sense of floating through time while exploring monotones, layering and space in other parts of his two remix version work with thematic hints and references to space flights aboard the >nostromo<.

originally released three years ago, this is the collectors reissue as part of sushitech s 15th anniversary celebrations. invisibility is the second album of cristi cons and vlad caia s sideways invisibility theory project (aka sit). this pack containing all the tracks from their album, both chapters one and two, pressed on a limited coloured vinyl. it features a quintet of trippy, low-slung late night workout seemingly designed to operate in the cracks between house and minimal techno. there is a natural subtle variations throughout - a nod to dub techno here, a psychedelic acid line or dreamy deep house texture there - but thought, their focus remains firmly on only early morning workouts - modern classic!
