autonation kindly agreed to a re-release two years ago after a meeting in a pub in ladbroke grove. sit on the bass has been a mainstay of label boss jerome hill s sets since it s release all those years ago and still sounds relevent and rocks crowds today.
autonation is none other than seasoned producer dave campbell who over the years has released a vast body of techno, drum n bass, and ambient music under the aliases kibu, hiryze, xtro, greenback and of course autonation on labels such as rising high, certificate 18, r&s, cue and guy called gerald s juicebox.
its an absolute techno classic, but not one of the obvious ones that get rolled out for every old skool back to the 90 s set.. so get on board and be in the know before everyone gets on it!!

minuendo recordings returns back with its 15th release, the deepfathers is another super production of the spanish label with ernie and ordell introducing their brand new tracks. pure underground deep house full on body and soul in the same lines of the two previous eps grand deep auto & deep wars. jus ed, is one of the most influential and respected producers from the underground house scene and hes now the special guest. edward is the owner of the uq (underground quality) and has produced for labels like strength or fxhe and some others à the track summer breeze, is a great example of the quality of his uq.

stanley anscorm has finished the follow-up to battle beyond the sun. you can expect two epic tracks on this nearly 30 minutes record. although the tracks are based on identical compositional material, they shine in very different color. the black side is of high density and impresses with remarkable bass figures which seems to grow on the fundamental principles of low frequencies. these figures are easily carrying loads of percussions and even an orchestral set of horns which does not seem to be from this world. the white side can be understand as a lighter interpretation of the same topic and it is thrill of its own to discover the intersections between the two tracks. sure, this music is nothing you listen to in an elevator - stanleys art demands attention, there is no doubt about this - but the reward you get if you listen or dance to it with an open heart is of a kind you might never come in contact with somewhere else.

this third sampler contains the excellent everyday, a collaboration between terry lee brown jnr and the timewriter. gorgeous deep house with a solid techy edge and a lot of soul! the plastic avengers remix of joeseph maliks believe and see is a raw, dirty tech-funk workout, whilst house stalwarts, 95 north, weigh in with a dubby house cut from ten years ago that screams underground! finally, man of the moment, sascha dive, has his deepest america cut remixed by samuel davis, and its a trippy, raw and minimal house swinger! a great 4 tracker, with a nice mix of deep and minimal to please most tastes

dickie is no longer prepared to stand idly by watching the current team failing to live up to the high standard set by the great den haag team of 75, how he longs for the anthem that is fc den haag to be on every city radio station celebrating the feats of the current team. sadly though todayÆs team does not live up to dickieÆs expectations, so much so in fact that dickie brings us the anthem to try and induce self belief in the team, æfc den haag, we are the bestÆ, so upset is dickie that heÆs considering coming out of retirement and offering his services to the team. following the anthemic opener, morwyck blues resonates with the sadness that dickie feels on matters close to his heart, while the hague jam is the perfect track for driving from den haag to scheveningen (or anywhere) at 3am. full of his trade mark 808 beats, vocoded vocals and searing melodies, dickie has produced tracks suitable to be played loudly on the cassette player of every bmw as it cruises around the city streets at night, searching for young souls to be evangelised to the ways of the 808 beat.

a welcome return for big love with a summer anthem in the making. uk duo, haji & emanuel, are back with another distinctive vocal track, this time with the unmistakable voice of roachford. the original has already been causing an early buzz in many dj sets now with a top international remix package. german trio dbn turn out an infectious club mix that pumps up the tempo. dutch / austrian duo hagenaar & albrecht crank up the energy factor on their tribal edged mix and russian pairing swanky tunes really push the peak time button on their storming remix which rounds things off nicely. big love are back with a bang!

the faint return in 2009 with remixes by some of their favorite artists. das glow re-imagines “mirror error” as only he can. members of the faint have been playing das glow in their dj sets since they first heard the music on institubes. djedjotronic has been one of the faint’s favorite boys noize artists, and the remix of “machine in the ghost” on this release shows djedjotronic in rare form, focusing on the spirituality of the lyrics. tensnake’s inclusion on this package came at the suggestion of boysnoize rec. label head alex ridha. the faint’s manager, joel mark, comments: ” when i heard these tensnake mixes, i left them on repeat for hours. battle hymn for children has always been one of our favorite songs on fasciinatiion, but tensnake was able to take it to brand new areas that we never would have imagined. i could listen to a 30 minute version of this remix. ” nice

the runners are a new project by our man lukas who has been with dirt crew and players paradise from the beginning and his buddy kevin cook. both young and very talented producers who teamed up to drop some delicious deep house on the next dirt crew release. kevin just made the move to ibiza while bristol based lukas is very succesful in running his buoyancy parties over there. with >hot fun< and >woman pleaser< coming in two different deep mixes this ep is one for the house lovers, taking dirt crew more and more towards the soulfull and groovy path of the new house movement. to top things off we asked another rising star in the scene and one of our favourite producers at this moment jay shepheard (compost, diynamic, drumpoet community) who recently made the move from london to berlin. he delivers a great remix with a deep sub bass and a lush chord filled groove… you will love it

limited vinyl edition of the black dog s new album on soma quality recordings. each of the 500 copies is hand numbered and screen printed by the artists. 3 x 180g heavyweight vinyl. the black dog are without a doubt one of the hardest working acts in electronic music. no sooner have they released one of 2008s best albums in >radio scarecrow< and the massive 12 inch >detroit vs. sheffield< which featured two remixes from detroit minimal grandmaster robert hood, they now prepare for their next album release. >further vexations< is a real successor to >radio scarecrow<. the thinking behind the predecessor is still very evident with even more bite, but theres something about the new album that lends itself to the dark club atmosphere. perhaps the recent bout of constant gigging has had its effect on the act because this one is going to be tearing up floors around the world on its release. >further vexations< might have taken half the time to create but still manages to maintain the same degree of meticulous detail and attention as its predecessor, and is a complete package of tracks demanding to be listened to from start to finish. >further vexations< looks to rouse the sort of political attitudes that have been sorely missing from electronic music since raves backlash against the criminal justice act in the 90s.

dojo is about getting back to the roots of american techno and house, and getting away from the computer. we want to help bring back the spontaneity and freedom of live performance and recordings. we want to celebrate the raw physicality of the music, and the dj who still likes to mix. ross since, 1997, ross has been in the background of the westcoast canadian techno scene, particularly the victoria family that included mathew jonson, cobblestone jazz, the mole, and hrdvsion. in 1998, he released the now out-of-print compilation album ôgarden city dubs, that featured first material by mathew jonson, and cobblestone jazz. he left for california in æ98, but kept his finger on the pulse as the art director for itiswhatitis recordings. while in the bay area, he listened mostly to soul,rap and early american techno music. heavily influenced by his time spent in the u.s., he started to develop a musical aesthetic, which he is now ready to express. young florent florent moved to vancouver from switzerland to attend art school. he began to get into making techno. tapping into his french-martinique roots, florent quickly developed a unique sound, which caught rossÆs ear. a few live jams later, it was clear that they worked well together, so they got a studio space and got to work. one month later, dojo had its first release. florent has only been making music for a year, but his swiss work-ethic is dangerous
