these songs were made over the past 2 and a half years by uchi: luna (january 2016), was named after a talking cat. it s kind of a sad story. you will find some synth sounds, three different kick drums, and a couple hi-hats. it s kind of moody. you can take it as it is, or not. pride is poison (july 2014) ironically, it s titled after experiencing dosages of unhealthy relationships, though it might be the one people like the most. it s sad-ish, noisy, bouncie, and bassie? that about sums it up. inc (february 2016) is titled after the international noise conference, where it was recorded. actually it s a 3 part spliced zoom room recording of a 25min long improvisation, made in a punk bar. the argument here holds, is it really worth it to make perfect music? where is the concept of -live- in techno anyways? it doesn t matter. it s just a semi-distorted recording of a moment that meant nothing to almost no one, and yet it lives.

nice price deal !!! the freihafen ep shows the inimitably techno producing of georg lange as dj argon. the modulated drums and baselines are always strong and raspy. all the songs are funky someway, primarily created with analogue equipment, populated with strident synthie sounds. it s not possible to call a genre, is somewhere between deep techno, dub and atmospheric minimal house. lets call it >argons music<- cheery, unique and coltish deep.

brand new, rambunctious, rootsy, spiritual brass-band music from lagos, with singing, drums and home-made percussion. obadikah is a group of old friends who play together in the cherubim & seraphim and baptist churches of the ikeja and isale eko districts. a couple of them were founder-members of the eko brass band, they’ve played with pretty much all the key nigerian reggae artists. the tunes are mostly traditional yoruban melodies, often sung at bed-time. the songs are mostly original, sung in yoruba (though jomido is an egun song from the badagry area of lagos state).

* after almost 20 years of making tracks with blaringly loud kicks, you tend to start producing with the other elements first to give yourself a break from the constant pounding of monitors at point blank range. following an analog filter shopping spree, i began working on a group of tracks where the low end was satisfied by the filtering, and realized these songs worked just fine without a bass drum. therefore this record is called “rareforms” since most of my other work consists of a kick drum and lots of loud effects. this record is dedicated to the brilliant synthesist and interpreter isao tomita, whose records always provide inspiration in the lab. also to master storyteller rod serling and his frequent collaborator bernard hermann, whose score for the hitchcock film vertigo i adapted through some midi processes and wavetable synthesis, then sent it through a 4-foot spring reverb.* - phil moffa

das album -100%- war längere zeit nicht zu haben. weder auf cd noch digital. die songs sind neu gemastert. die songs sind dieselben, es gibt keine neuen songs oder sonstiges bonusmaterial, einzig beim sound wird man ein paar unterschiede feststellen. den remastering-prozess hat eike freese gemacht. eike freese hat in den letzten 15 jahren an mehr als 170 veröffentlichungen mitgewirkt, darunter auch an alben und dvds von deep purple, saga, apocalyptica, gamma ray, eisbrecher, oomph!, heaven shall burn, callejon, uvm. für seine arbeiten an deep purples -now what?!- the live tapes- und eisbrechers -die hölle muss warten- wurde eike freese mit jeweils einer goldenen schallplatte ausgezeichnet. außerdem wird er mitverantwortlich für das kommende album sein. aber dazu mehr zu seiner zeit. das gesamte artwork wurde überarbeitet. die band ist immer wieder ergriffen über das, was die fans zurückgeben. betty harris’ the lost queen of new orleans soul features all of her classic deep soul, sister funk and northern soul songs recorded in new orleans in the 1960s - all written, produced and arranged by the legendary allen toussaint, and featuring the cream of new orleans musicians and the incredible meters. the heavyweight 180 gram double vinyl lp comes in a gatefold sleeve with.

it all began with a licensing inquiry for a sister funk cut which we wanted to include on our deep funk comp titled “feeling nice vol. 3”. after the deal was completed producer fred forsh mentioned that the backing band of nadine brown’s masterpiece “leave me alone” had released a 45 themselves under their name teakwood. after mr. forsh played us both sides we knew that this 45 would have to be re-issued. what was about to follow nobody of us ever expected. mr. forsh told us that teakwood recorded almost a dozen of songs which were supposed to be released on a full length album. for unspecified reasons the album was never released and it remained in the can for almost 40 years. finally, we are very proud to announce the release of teakwood’s debut album “a distant star” in early 2017. until then you have to be content with this 45 rpm single re-issue.

a pivotal moment in 20th century politics, history and culture the november 22nd 1963 assassination of president john f. kennedy (in dallas, texas) produced a mountainous range of forgotten, discarded and ghostly vinyl artifacts. country songs, private-press lamentations, mournful poetry and violent political diatribes were rushed onto rough-hewn 45s and marginal lps that vied to be heard above the noise and confusion.

featuring over 30 minutes of music recorded between 1973-75 found on tapes in maurice tanis attic. all songs have been remastered for vinyl by george horn at fantasy studios. the jacket features an alluring photo of candida seductively sprawled with a broken virgin mary statue around her head, originally commissioned by jorge socarras for an indoor life single, and shot by arne svenson. each copy includes a 16-page booklet with never seen-before photos, interviews and liner notes from patrick and candida’s friends, roommates and musical collaborators.

the album was written, produced, and distributed in garys hometown baltimore, between 1986 and 1987. after a break from performing while getting belated college degrees, gary returned to performing in the early 21st century, back to the singer/songwriter style of his past. gary feels that the generic art ensemble/original soundtrack days gave him an ability to open up his writing. his recent albums feature guitar, but many songs do have keyboards added to give them a fuller, less folky sound.

analog zum kinostart der verfilmung der beliebten hauffschen erzählung „das kalte herz“ veröffentlicht philipp poisel zur plattenladen-woche (vÖ 24.10.2016) eine limitierte 12“ vinyl mit zwei neuen songs, „bis ans ende der hölle“ und „das kalte herz“. erst im september meldete sich poisel mit der single „erkläre mir die liebe“ zurück, die unmittelbar in die top 10 der deutschen singlecharts einstieg. neben der bereits angekündigten tour für 2017 wird seine musik nun auch kinobesucher in ihren bann ziehen.

mit ihrem debüt-album -the visitor- verwebt kadhja bonet elegant jazz, folk, funk, psychedelia, klassische streicherarrangements und soul. das ergibt eine eigenartige, gleichwohl verlockende mischung. die aus los angeles stammende musikerin hat eine samtweiche stimme, die dazu beiträgt, den songs eine seltsam entrückte stimmung zu verleihen. medien haben sich an einer beschreibung der bonet schen klangwelten versucht, beschreiben luzide tagträume, verorten die musik gleichzeitig in der vergangenheit wie der zukunft, öffnen genre-schublanden von folk bis soul, denken an bond-soundtracks, träumen von film-scores zu filmen, die erst noch zu drehen wären. -portrait of tracy- borgt sich eine melodie von jaco pastorius, ansonsten ist das werk komplett von kadhja bonet komponiert, getextet, arrangiert und aufgenommen.
