in 2011 it got a little quiet around the co-productions of fraenzen texas and ruede hagelstein aka the cheapers. but since the beginning of the new year the lights dont go out in their studio doing beats and sound. next to releases on areal records and bar25 the uy063 was born. title of the name giving a-side goes back on a quote from paris hilton who wants to tell with >amazeballs< how super cool she finds things. anyway the two artists made it real with their concise bassline which will make the people reliably squeak more than hobby djane hilton. on the b-side things turn a bit more severe: egyptian summer quotes with samples the arabic spring in africa and produces a revolutionary ground mood which has never been heard before. on b2 however there are the cheaperesque absurdities on the microfon like we know them. depositing skillfully their own vocals in the belly of a hungry electro monster.

the wind up of phillip lauers album debut phillips (still available in all formats including gatefold double vinyl) is in the hands of nyc remix/production outfit runaway and versatiles very own i:cube. runaway do their best to turn tentatious into one of those early morning deep house dubs that you could find on the b-side on vintage designer labels of their hometown. music for baby powdered wooden floors. i:cube does the opposite and manufactures a bumper car boogie beat that also works as a uk rave dub. he likes to move it. on the flip, lauer himself turns in the hidden album track boringtone - his very own secret ode to the café del mar - and the super exclusive smashing pumpkin that is highdimes 100percent overground melodies

so what is after the void ... we bang the bomb of course with a lady in a thong surrounded by snakes and hand grenades, obvious really! having been away for some time it appears that a light sounds dark spring is in the air. en route to their next destination (rumoured to be a dark subterranean world full of nasty mutants danger electrified tracks out this summer) with arms out the window and the mothership roof down, its full steam ahead and proper european dance music time. not really train spotting as before although a couple are a bit off piste like maltas very own ian dury by the name of iain richardson rapping about sitting on a green bus! much more like it however are classic italo covers of big in japan, gloria, a wonderful new wave version of falcos euro smash der kommissar and the thoughts massive german hit wait a long time sounding like some long lost talk talk record. light sounds dark do some minor tweaking (going for that natural look) to big beast anthems axodrys you and colme 111s you take me high (early euro take on chicago) and for lovers of something a bit more funky theres some groovy goings on from kraut funksters epsilon urging people to leave the city which might not be a bad idea if the water runs out.
