move d has been the man behind the legendary source records label. in the past three years he has released an incredible string of big tracks on labels like running back, smallville, liebe*detail, philpot, workshop, fax +49-69/450464 or modern love. with the -silk & shmoove ep-, the heidelberg based dj and producer contributed to compost s black label series in 2006. slightly reminiscent of his legendary -kunststoff- album and all his warm analogue techno, house and deep ambient works. pure class! there are so many things to say about move d… like his own successful labels source records and km20… his musical education as a classical drummer, jazz guitarist and piano player… his works for the german goethe institut and bauhaus university… his countless live appearances all over the world as dj or live act… but most of all his sheer endless output of high quality electronic music!

there is no doubt that the native detroiter jeff mills, as >the wizard<, put his own mark on the cologne psycho thrill club-nights and thus the entire west german rhine area in terms of techno in the years 1991-2007 through his innumerable appearances in the cologne clubevent institution. mills track >mosainga<, which was given to claus bachor in 1996 for publication on his own label, also played a significant part in this well beyond the 2000s. in 1997 for the first time (unofficially) released in advance via roland caspers essence label on a >psycho thrill ep< white-label limited to 500 copies, mosainga finally appeared remastered in 2004 on psycho thrills own >motor city dayz vol.1< (ptne 2111) compilation including a dj-friendly bonus loop and then finally made its way straight into the clubs of the world. the track then received renewed attention beyond its natural decay value in the cologne bnkr years (2011-2016), which were deeply shaped by psycho thrill itself for colognes nitelife, in which the cologne label completely redefined the entire techno culture of the dome metropolis in its own way 2 be propelled forward once again.

a hidden gem within the uk house and minimal landscape, yet an imprint home to favourite cuts for many of the scenes biggest names, modula records has been steadily building its reputation as a home for quality material from some of the scenes brightest rising names over recent years. a stand out of those, ross mccormack, better known by his alias rossi., has risen to become a name at the forefront of londons new names with recent appearances via the likes of fuse, eastenderz, locus, and tamango records. having released his first ever track >rkinn< on the label back in 2018 as part of the mr001 va, he now returns to offer up a facelift alongside the original in its untouched, complete form.
