boy we couldnt resist hooking up with one of the youngest and brightest proteges in the west-coast undergound to slap out some crazy remixes of the bsu ep for yall. who is he? why, a made up sound ofcourse, or 2562 for short. steamrolling his way onto the scene in 2007, 2562 has been a mainstay from the get go, with amazing production skills and a keen ear for what rocks the house. in a very short time the 2562 name became almost synonimous for dubstep. but luckily for us theres the made up sound guise to provide us with a more mutant hybrid of slamming jak-step (and remember where you read that first). so take your pick, heres one for the heads and one for the bodies.

inspired by nu-wave disco, italo disco, pop cliches and 60s glamour magazines: dutch band le le is a unique force. made up of parra, graphic talent par excellence, serge faberge (who used to be in the dutch rap-electro crew djvt) and rimer london (who has been part of the electro duo comtron).
their album le classics is a collection of weird electro funk songs. rough and lofi pop techno and fucked up house.…introducing the new art of >espernatology<: a crazy combination of different languages and fantasy words. the 10-track album will be released next week, meanwhile we are already putting out a limited 5-track album sampler (including special parra poster) on 12 inch vinyl.

bvdub and sofie loizou are two passioned artists who have a special collaboration on this southern outpost offshoot! sofie loizou is at the forefront of the electronic music scene in australia and brock van wey (bvdub)is one of america s most prolific electronical artists known for his excellent deep house and dubby techno releases! the ep is evocative and wistful, enveloping the listener in a dream state. the two made an equisite piece of lush ambient techno with vocals of the polish natalia grosiak (produced by polish sound artist dawid szczesny). the combination of natalia s enchanting vocals and exquisite textural sound beds creates a sublime experience of blissful melancholy. this is a highly limited run of only 200 copies... yeah we know.. it s crazy to have a bvdub collaboration this limited... but its just a fun project of southern outpost and friends! don t sleep

something number 12 is a double album from stephan laubner featuring nine tracks and 4 bonus loops, residing somewhere between deep cranky scientifics and crazy shaking groove and listening experimatations. some tracks will make you dance and probably go nuts on the floor, while others excites your senses with a special irresistible attractive beauty.

we have never done a project like this before where the artists choose all the remixers themselves. but for the crazy italoboyz album >bla bla bla< we found ourselves not really knowing what to do. so instead of forcing our own ideas for remixers we went back to the source and let the artists run wild on the a&r. marco and fede commissioned all the remixers themselves. the producers they chose are a very diverse bunch and the vinyl 12inch takes a sampling of the best material from two very big underground names. on the a-side das kraus duo turn it a super jackin yet also very haunting rendition of >oh mio dio.< it sounds like pitched up chicago house meets demon days. on the b-side old school master dandy jack turns in one of the oddest records ever on mothership with some unusual sound design, voices and semi-dischordant note runs. super weird for the super weird! whatever you think of this odd lot no one can deny these remixes definitely carry the indistinguishable mark of that ever so quirky duo, the italoboyz

first release from this exciting new spanish label focused on future synth beats with enough funk to appease george clinton. this is the first release too for the spanish beatmaker hybakusha, a pioneer of the skweee sound in spain. gameboy lover is a noisy 8 bit robotic skweee track which mixes chip tune drums and cutting edge filtered synths in a crazy groove. on the other side there is a mesak remix of the same track. for those of you who have been napping for the last few years, mesak is one half of the electro outfit mr velcro fastener, he has released solo material on dexters klakson label and is one of the most prominent heads on the skweee scene. his remix treatment takes the track into more spacey and deep territory, giving this record the official and personal stamp of the finnish skweee.

this time is all about peak time. alessio and virgil, masters of evil techno, board the boat with two amazing dance floor killers. the power of the one, on side a, has all the elements needed to make the crowd scream and jump: jackin drums and all those layers of crazy synths creating that tension we all love. on side b, kamun brings some elastic mayhem to our ears. again, a dark dense atmosphere is the vehicle over which the tension evolves. this time, its a fat sawtooth synth which adds all that frenzy to this peak time track.

this time the frankfurt based duo chris hope & andre walter (stigmata, perc trax) sended us 3 wicked tracks and we are proud to present them on our fresh driving forces recordings imprint. the >vibra slap< ep is exactly what a state of the art techno release needs to be. dark and atmospheric, low in the speed but straight kickin and full of wicked sounds and effects. on the a side you can find the name giving title track called vibra slap which is a pumping and crazy clubtool. the very long breakdown and its noisy leadsound will let every crowd go totally crazy. with septum and otum 288 side b delivers you 2 very dark and andre walter typical tracks for the peaktime of special and raw techno happenings. these tracks seem to come out straight from hell!
