label bosses are back in tandem for the sixth release on micropunto: wine ep, which also marks the beginning of micropunto schallplattens vinyl era. wine ep started as a back to back game after a spillage incident. ikkaku and d-gelo started producing two separate tracks in their respective stations and every half hour they swapped seats, building the tracks as they went along. the result is this musical experiment that sets the trend for all things to come from the micropunto clan. they spilled wine on me kicks in with a deep lead stab from the catacombs. the elements appear on the scene in a stride to resurface. it goes up then down, left, rigth, it gets dubby, then back in your face. in i spilled wine the beat unfolds steadily like a bulldozer coming up to the surface in search of the true sound. next we meet the preacher. with a subtle housy piano lead he puts us in the right track, reminding us that the dance floor is made of sand and we are on the rivers bank. listen to the flow. lord techno, you are my music. originally inspired from a dub tune featuring ras ajay from the spaceship sound crew in london,dubwine closes the triangle with a huge dub flare. fat subsonic bass and broad stabs make this track a serious contender on the dub techno charts. its the producers blink of respect to the reggae culture that has inspired them all through the years, hence the vinyl release.

after ellen alliens album >dust< kicked up a lot of the same in 2010, it was only a matter of time until the right remixers for the album were found. no less than the creme de la creme of today s house scene was allowed to have their way with these tracks. and the results are more than fitting. although we have already burned a full-length cd containing all of the remixes they created, we are not planning on leaving the vinyl-loving faction (or whats left of them) out in the cold either. this 12 inch features three powerful club tracks from three outstanding remixers. each unrivalled in their own space.

a1) aller retour. indeed we do like it very much, when a tune is like a punch – and this one pushes tremendous. underlaid with a sharp kick later, the strongly-held bass line involving from a small stream to an all-compelling stream. on top we receive a very un-christian boot with some oriental like organ-pipes. what more can you expect. oh by the way- there is actually a river in lower saxony with the same name like the track – however has nothing to do with it. b1) nevermind. indicate left and right over. and then a lob shot instead of a straight shot. this is a little what nevermind feels like. an assault from the deep, with a soft climax rather than with brute force. our recommendation for phasing out after an extensive club night

the new, first time ever on vinyl 2lp reissue of a long way around to a shortcut is somehow a greatest hits of the golden not quite decade of sic alps. well, not quite golden, either. can gold be tarnished? can it be done on purpose? if so, sic alps are artisans of the highest order - for their music is the bright, surging sound of ye olde rock & roll radio (and the garages that tuned in) heard through air darkened with specks of nameless obstruction. in and amongst their ingrown sounds, sic alps take on classic tunes from strapping field hands, throbbing gristle and the zipps on a long way around to a shortcut. it is to their credit that they completely absorb their estimated predecessors and create the only sound left to them: the sound of the sic alps. a long way around to a shortcut was issued as a cd in 2008. it collected songs that were first issued throughout the epic years of 2006 and 2007 on two 12inch eps, three 7inch singles and a cassette, plus a song from a compilation cd r and a song exclusive to this compilation. the records were originally given titles like united, strawberry guillotine, semi streets, hip hop sweepers vol 1, teenage alps, and the soft tour in rough form, but all these original releases are long gone.

yep, thats right. synth pop sensations heartbreak remixed by the horrors. tom furse from the horrors has a fearsome collection of analogue synths and used them to rebuild this track from heartbreaks debut album from the ground up, and a killer job hes done too. as ali and sebastian from heartbreak both release on dissident their label lex thought it would be a good idea if dissident did the 12 inch release. obviously due to the nature of this release and the addition of the combined horrors / heartbreak fanbase its pretty much an instant collectors item and will fly out of the door at a fair old rate of knots so please make sure you order enough to keep everyone happy, i doubt well have any of these left by the end of the week. the clip is taken from the second half of the track as it turns into a glorious cosmic synthesizer orgy, theres plenty of arpeggiated trackiness before it gets to this bit

after excellent results with the first three releases, it is label manager dia who comes out with the next release on vinyl did it. roaches travel in groups is an ep complete with the right amount of house and techno elements, never leaning too close to one style yet retaining a familiarity and elements from each genre to make it appealing to just about any music lover. on the a side, left there kicks off the record with vintage-like house pads and piano. the second track on the a side, winds of tomorrow takes things into techno territory with classic 909 claps, prominent hi hats, and filtered synths, upbeat,fun, and more of a peak time track. on the b side, dia shows us a sound that she dominates and clearly has defined her previous eps, leaning towards the often called >afterhours techno<, with a strong, deep, hypnotic track, scrape. made up of small sounds and carefully placed percussive elements that carry the track nicely, all this topped by a contagious voice that seems to invite us into a parallel universe where the only thing that matters is the music. limited edition of 500 units!

its been 5 yrs since the last record was released on tetrode music. la danse de l hibouthe fourth release with bucketround follows the path left by his past references, not disregarding the exploration of new horizons. oval future face (bucketround recs) grants us his peculiar way of understanding electronic music. avoiding the hype or settled guidelines la danse de l hibou brings us right in the middle of the night where nocturnal birds of prey hunt. we are in front of his deepest work so far, full of details and rhythmical shifts shrouded in minimal sound with its own soul... as if it was meant to be just for this work, it is apt for lounge listening, dancefloors or even forests. the re mixes collection does not fall short on quality: pablo bolivar (regular) as usual everything he touches turns into gold and this time pablo does not disappoint. nimble groove full of hectic changes and sudden pauses enriches this melodic remake. a real dancefloor hit. angel galan (add sensor) theres no rule for crafting remixes and angel is the clearest example. an amazing explosion of multicolor strokes transformed into tangled logic sound.

austrian born, munich resident dj enne (aka robert ennemoser) has found favor with both djs and labels alike. following up releases on compost, permanent vacation & others robert turns in a lazy funk, analog disco groover. robert spent several years in milan djing and the vibe obviously left an impression... his pleasant surprise track has just the right mix of laid back beats, mediterranean grooves and dancefloor sensibilities. john selway (one half of legendary nyc duo selway & smith) tackles the deeper side of his personality and nudges up the tempo and grooveology just a notch.
