derrick carters seminal sound patrol album originally released in 1994, * sweetened - no lemon*, will see a re-release in january 2016. the alias provided a place for carter to explore deeper and sometimes more atmospheric styles. the sound patrol record originally came out via chicagos organico label, while derrick carters own arts & labour is handling the reissue. the triple vinyl re issue adds four new unreleased tracks. the whole album has been re mastered for 2016. this follows a limited edition sampler 12 inch released in 2015 which contained another 2 unreleased tracks.

i ve been inspired by the seasons, sounds of nature, the stars and the phases of the moon. observing these elements helps me realize that i am such a small piece of this universe. with all this in mind i began producing a 4 season album series.
we start off with hokkori shiyo - which in japanese means *smoking a joint together with friends*. this is an organically composed production which synchronizes with the elements.
my father recorded his own natural frequency and you can hear his defining voice during this track, combined with the frogs from a lake.
