jeremiah jae (aka black daffi) is an experimental hip-hop artist born and raised on the south side of chicago. he is a visual artist, producer, emcee and founding member of black jungle squad, a music collective consisting of close friends and family. early works by jae dating back to 2007, display his unique style and approach to crafting his own version of “hip-hop”. the genre is one of many foundations the artist uses to communicate his range of styles as shown on previous self-released albums, compilations and collaborations (holy smoke, oliver the 2nd, l’orange, cohenbeats, pbdy), as well as praiseworthy offerings on brainfeeder and warp records. with his newest solo album daffi, jae expands on his production and speaks in the persona of his alter ego to express a darker side.
originally from brighton, kutmah made his name while living in the us, releasing some acclaimed mix tapes and building up connections with the brainfeeder & low end theory crews. in 2010 he was deported to the uk, lived in london for 5 years and now resides in berlin (while still holding down a show on the east london-based radio station nts). in summer 2015, prolific leftfield beatmaker kutmah released the 20-track instrumental beat album blk/smr on bandcamp. during march 2016 he selected & sequenced his favorite nine tracks for a forthcoming limited-edition 10 inch vinyl version of blk/ smr on hit+run.
los angeles native, dyed in the wool hooligan zeroh gets loud, technical and strange all over again on his new ten track album tinnitus hnr65. organized noise was haphazardly strung together and embellished amongst 15+ hours of music in a dark smokey garage on little to no sleep. the severity of this raw bludgeoning echoes pain in the heads and ears of your typical everyman in an attempt to bring them to higher state of consciousness. zeroh emanates a low glowing light close to the chest. the one saving grace for this genius god awful cacophony. written and produced by zeroh additional vocals on gun metal by the koreatown oddity. harp & additional vocals on my beautiful new age nightmare by low leaf

angels dust is vocalist flavia ciampi and producer david lampley, both originally hailing from san diego, ca. their bewitching, hypnotizing yet soulful debut summons the same heaviness and somber darkness of portishead & mazzy star. ciampi’s almost-whispered vocals are front and center, anchored by loose swinging beats that are as unnerving as they are catchy. lampley (also known as psychopop, one half of san diego instrumental noise legends skrapez, as well as a frequent gonjasufi collaborator) handles the gritty lo-fi production duties.

contact field orchestra is produced by damon aaron. in 2008 he came across a box of 7inch tapes at an estate sale in altadena that turned out to be field recordings of a turn-of-the century orchestra of ex-miners recorded almost entirely with hand-made instruments and contact microphones. this became the source material for this collection of releases with hit+run.
paramatma is the supreme soul, but in this case it’s the supreme sound. after two years of toiling, mono/poly debuted his first full-length release, paramatma, on may 25, 2010. the album is a mix of dub-step beats, astral soundscapes, eastern philosophy, metaphysics, and politics. paramatma has a range of sound that is as cohesive as it is open to experimentation, and the album is less individual tracks and more elements of a musical journey. coloured double vinyl - one yellow, one blue record.
