t.c. matic were a belgian rock band formed in the early 80s by arno hintjens and jean marie aerts (who would go on to produce albums by urban dance squad and absynthe minded). they played a mix of new wave, blues, funk, hard rock, avant garde and even some french chansons. their eclectic mix and experimental approach to music would have a great impact on belgian bands such as deus and zita swoon. their eponymous album t.c. matic from 1981 has their biggest hit >o la la la< on it, a song that can still rock the dance floors today.
it is a good thing music on vinyl is making this album available on audiophile 180 gram vinyl again!

rosario born argentinean franco cinelli has been firmly rooted behind the decks since the tender age of 14. drawn by the call of the drums and having researched the creation of music through computers and samplers, the mid 90s saw cinellis first productions taking shape. rapidly becoming a key player on the argentine scene, franco played throughout the country, holding a residency at the prestigious el sotano. his first forays to europe came in 2003, but it was 2005 that his own music really made an impact. having released a handful of releases and mix compilations on smaller labels, it was his picaro ep with bruno pronsato that really brought him to the attention of the music world. since then, franco has gone on to release and remix for a number of established imprints including ilian tape, produkt, claque musique, hello repeat, airdrop , international freakshow, alphahouse and the label of his great friend kasper, esperanza. in 2011 following his critically acclaimed >planet dub< debut ep on bass culture records, franco cinelli finally achieved global recognition with his massive underground remix of cassius >sound of violence< that placed strongly in many of the end-of-year top 10 best remix of 2011 lists. today franco returns to bass culture records for a new take on his trademark deep & techy house with 4 original tracks on the >take me back< ep

its strange to think that it was only 2010 that saw the first records from christopher manik, aka manik. since exploding onto the scene with his debut ovum release he has gone on to develop and strengthen his own sounds & styles. never pigeonholed, the young new yorker has confidently and creatively placed his music on a variety of the hottest labels of today, whilst always managing to maintain his own unique identity.

>where are you now< was originally released in 2009 as the second release on best works records. a track in which lodemanns 90ies house-music knowledge is combined with the sounds of today always keeping the equilibrium between a classic american house-feel and berlin-ortientated somewhat minimal influence. of course the track also clearly shows lodemanns typical dramatic changes. the track became an underground hit over the years with a lot of people doing their own edits. we decided to re-release it with some remixes by some of our favorite artists incl. jimpster and ripperton. both managed to interpret the original vibe in their own way.
