roland appel started producing music and spinning records in the early nineties. he was a member of fauna flash (together with christian prommer) and the trüby trio (with rainer trüby + christian prommer). in 2002 he released an album with peter kruder and christian prommer as voom:voom . with every project he toured the world and played clubs and festivals from montreal jazz festival, sonar festival to fabric london, new york, berlin and tokyo. from 2004 to 2006 roland lived in paris. during this time he started to write music for his solo career which quickly gained an international following. in 2006 returning to his home town of munich he teamed up with engineer jan krause to start recording once again. whether roland incorporates an accomplice or is working solo, thereÆs hardly a dull moment in the studio or on stage, captivating his audience by combining the integral influences of detroit techno, folk, disco all the way to soul and house. one of the most in demand tracks from the all night long album, snow gets a full single release as a result of the huge response from disco heavyweights horse meat disco, who took the time to contact us to tell us how much they love it. old school disco in every way, certainly not space and nothing nu about ita.. dfa darlings runaway turn it in a slow burning house direction that builds the tension until every last drop is wrung out in a sweaty pool on the dancefloor. nice.

after their hello kool nice release (quintessentials 02), the jagged boys are back with another fab production. the main track langenthal is, well, we dare to say tech house with a disco feel and ready for club use! new york pumps it up even more and is another proof that jagged are well diverse. after quarion and harry swinger on qe 02, its now up to the mighty brothers vibe to do the remix - he delivered a monster mix! and let all of us know about his house and our house!

culoe de song is a new star from africa. his debut release on innervisions was a one of the best deep house record in this year. this second release is following his unique african touch deep house sound. a side, the fallen shiren is a emotional deep house with the sound of piano loop, african instruments and fantasy african chorus. this track is very modern and first class african taste house music. b side, inspiration is very simple but effective percussive house track. its a timeless dj tool.

marcus sur lives 30 minutes from cologne in essen and has recorded for several labels in the past like pottheads with whom he reached no 1 in the dcc charts with his >stop the junk< release. his latest tracks were released on highgrade and keno records. marcus sur played bass in a band but stopped in the 90ies to get involved in djing which lead to famous residencies in clubs such as >rote liebe< and >baikonur< where he was also responsible for the musical programme. with his release >down with the ship< on trapez ltd he shows his love for minimal music. his definition of minimal though has more in common with robert hood than with recent developments due to the fact that his love for rare groove and deep house music has been part of his life. his 2 track vinyl is authentic and cool and speaks the language of the coal mining district in germany, the ruhrpott. house music has always been big there and lead to the founding of one of the first house distributers in germany, ntt . marcus sur is momentarily resident at the gold club in essen where he will celebrate his release on the trapez label night (26th of september)

a1) nop, the tokyo wunderkid of japanese house music, delivers a percussive and groovy remix of the title track >el cubo< (the cube), which has already been getting plenty of pre-release airplay during his sets at the famous ageha club. a2) dich himself goes for a more funky house style with minimalistic influences and top notch production. b1) >lovely lady< - a slightly more up-tempo piece of minimal tech-house that draws heavily on latin influences and even reggae to slowly build into a solid house groove full of dub like reverbs and delays. b2) final track >el camino del inca< is pure modern deep, minimal-tech with splashes of dub. from the long droning synth to the noise and ambience this is exactly what you’d expect richie hawtin to drop these days.

wheres joe is a deep minimal house track with great production work and a very special atmosphere. the b side is a rework version by great italian duo minimono, keeping the deep original vibe alive but adding a stronger groove perfect for the dancefloor!!

fourth release from do easy records comes up with an outstanding deep and groovy anthem delivered by no one less than producing genius daso from cologne. >im over u< catches listeners and dancers immediately with its remarkable piano hookline and a perfect timed groove. the funky vocals push this track to a real house bomb and will set each club and outdoor floor on fire ! again, daso at its best ! on the flip you find a percussive remix by romanian sound wizard ali nasser. ali well know for his very own house style gives the original a more oldschool and rough touch that is pushed by nice funky bass. for sure one of his exceptional remixes. we love it and we hope you too !
