die in brasilien geborene, in k�ln aufgewachsene und in berlin lebende k�nstlerin dominique dillon de byington alias dillon hatte immer eine klare vision ihrer kunst. zwei alben hat sie bereits ver�ffentlich. f�r sie selbst sind beide eigentlich eins, denn sie erz�hlen eine zusammenh�ngende geschichte. live war dies stets sp�rbar, denn die dunkel melodischen songs beider alben bestimmten im magischen wechselspiel ihre shows. als sie 2015 vom berliner foreign affairs festival gebeten wurde, ein einmaliges konzert zu entwickeln, entschied sie sich f�r eine performance mit einem sechzehnk�pfigen frauenchor, der sie und ihr kollaborateur und co-produzent ihrer ersten beiden alben, tamer fahri �zg�nenc im juli 2015 live im haus der berliner festspiele begleitete.

these days house music is often about a 4/4 beat and a catchy groove. the idea is to do something simple to which you can get your groove and, and not so much about listening. the borders of electronic dance music makes room for the hypnotic beats, the driving grooves, but not always the melodic universes. leman & dieckmann have been making music for several years, both together and apart, but almost all of their music was driven mainly by the beat. but both having an urge to discover the dynamics of melodic synths and melodic percussion they decided to make an album. they agreed that the album had to tell a story, and like so many times before in music the topic became love. the story they try to tell through the music on the album *takes two* is the story of a breakup, the denial of the need of love, and the discover of the fact that often in life it takes two, to be happy.

rndm (pronounced *random*) is a new musical group featuring pearl jam bassist jeff ament, singer-songwriter joseph arthur and drummer richard stuverud. in april of this year, joseph arthur joined jeff ament and drummer richard stuverud in montana for a jam session, which would give birth to rndm *acts*. within an hour on that first night in the studio, the trio had bashed into shape an ament song called *what you cant control*. and after four days with longtime pearl jam engineer brett eliason behind the boards, the group had nearly 20 finished tracks, which were eventually whittled down to to 12 for this album. the double vinyl comes in gatefold sleeve and contains a download code.
