hot off the presses. we just got these in last nite from portland. this is our first real peak at body work, glass candys much anticipated third album. johnny & ida have been destroying clubs with both of these tracks for almost two years now. forever pushing forward into new ground from where b/e/a/t/b/o/x & 2010s feeling without touching left off, they candy coated this slice of analog glamour & sprinkled it with some stardust on top. lazer driven melodies bounce off electro primitive drums that would make moe tucker proud. idas crazy like a monkey & happy like a new year as she sings a call & response to the crowd. >warm in the winter< continues to unfold for seven plus minutes of shimmering percussive synth. the proto boogie b side >beautiful object< is so grimey it makes us think of bbbb s production on the first madonna album. the rhythms keep turning while future & past collide. johnny gives us the usual dosage of heavy bass & crisp handclaps. written & recorded in the icey montreal winter. mixed for all seasons.

after inigos deeper & slower excursions on his 2 previous eps >the shard< & >the darkest valentine<, he now returns to his dirtier, more energetic tricks. as usual, i have been sitting on these tracks a while and both of them have been thoroughly road tested. >revenge< can rip up any dance floor peak time, while >scatter< explores idm territory, almost in afx fashion.

jimmy posters and huxleys new imprint saints & sonnets present their debut ep from production duo ethyl & huxley with the 3 feet high ep. deep, powerful and rounded deep house is on the menu for release number one as strong bass holds down light melodies and slurry vocals for an undoubtedly peak time record. electronic chameleon and self proclaimed dandy roman flugel is in for remix duty and his dubby mix 2 flirts with push and pull percussion and chopped vocal snippets for a delightfully experimental revision.

rockin tracks that will definitely do their damage again ! they delivered absolutely high class rockin tracks with their first release on afulab 16 outsider ep last year already, but spared no efforts to top it with this monster four track carnival ep.carnival for sure is a peak time monster that leaves no doubt to be bangin’ dancefloors around the globe pretty soon and is already working more than well with a very few selected djs. followed by the next great techno tune virus to fulfill the duty with power on the a side. side aa starts off to a bit darker territories with rauco and rounds it up with a nice remix treatment by collaborateur manel diaz!
