the titanic trio are lead by buzzers. the rise and fall of the metallic droplets oil this mighty techno machine as the march of its kick drum rolls like the constant throb of a diesel engine. dark and deadly. erector pili sees joel delivering a relentless tribal pattern wrapped in dreamy atmospheric and moving waves of synth. final cut pulhapanzak seems to combine elements of both the previous tracks. the ferocity of the lead track and the sweeping, ghostly atmosphere of the second, to create an excellent finale.

33-10-3402, also known as serbian-born artist/producer nenad markovic, returns to the esp institute for the fourth and final release in his opium den and whorehouse inspired mecanica series. metamorfoze is a psychedelic melting pot which can best be described as a train commute to a distant planet—our senses confronted left, right and center by unfamiliarities. its counterpart on side b entitled t bov boasts a pseudo tribal rhythm, yet its post-apocalyptic soundscaping takes us anywhere but the expected. at this point nenad has managed to whirl our imagination into a state of confusion so deep that were simply at a loss for words. its in these moments where we at the esp institute are most proud, with the birth of something absolutely new. bravo nenad, bravo.

after more than a year in the making we are almost ready to release the final chapter in psychemagiks magik series. due to incredible responses from the artists we contacted we ended up with more tracks than we needed for one album so it was decided to release magik sunset in two parts. both albums contain yet more of the long lost and obscure tracks that the previous compilations have presented and part one is now available on double vinyl in gatefold sleeve.

with this compilation aarhus-label help recordings presents a selection of electronic music, giving it the self-evident title *relevant material*. on the first face, an uncredited weird intro is followed by two tracks from two debutants. the lofi energy of brooklyn-based love letters is followed by a new-and-classical house-sound from sports, the younger brother of the two label-heads. on the flipside older brother central, who recently appeared on the the neighbour-label nord records, shows his calmer and more melodic side. the local group lester, who did the first tape on the label, deliver a playful jam, a groovy exploration of machine dance music. the final grooves of the compilation reveal another uncredited sportive track.

4th and final part of this legendary morris audio compilation series bringing some new (origins sound, manooz) and old faces (volta cab, julien sandre), but keeping the house vibe in different shades. up and coming origins sound (glasgow underground, lost) present a bassy pumping uk house tune whereas volta cab (kolour, hypercolour) goes back the the rave days and invites us to some hardcore heaven. the flipside starts with morris audio buddy julien sandre, who is still some kind of secret underground weapon, even if he already released on argys these days label or on tsuba. finishing off the ep is manooz (alive, extended play) with a great deep and raw house tune. this all is for you, seven daze a week!

for skylax 140, damien zala, of rowtag records fame, brings the heat with a new 6 track ep. it kicks off with an absolutely mad remix of * looking for the sun* by detroit legend, anthony shake shakir. the attention to detail is clear when it comes to someone who has been in the game for so long, and the rework he has done for damiens track is no exception. * the final break* is damiens first original on the record. a skippy, staccato affair in both its percussion and its disco/funk/soul sampling. *beauty is back* is damien taking things down a jazzier route, with a piano laden jazz sample and shuffling drums to match.on the flip, * always young* is an audacious disco edit, sampling such a treasured song that many would consider untouchable, luckily, damien works his magic to make an edit which gets people moving without being obvious. the ep closes out with * emotions* and the original version of * looking for the sun*, barely recognisable from the anthony shakir remix, in the best possible way! sweet & dirty indeed, dont miss this offering by the one and only damien zala.

london label eartoground s final release of 2014 raw material sees another new act joining the label as they welcome on board dualit . this german duo are otherwise known as oliver rosemann from leipzig and mascon from frelberg. recently they have released on such prolific labels as clr, earwiggle and fifth wall records. this release features six tracks, being four originals backed by two centralised locked grooves with full front and back artwork on the sleeve. audio selected for this release gives a good over all presentation of dualit s varied, deep and raw dynamic range of techno.

red rack em is a name well known to wolf fans as he launched the first wolf white release with his deep house classic in love again. he is a master at reworking dusty grooves into peaking house bangers. that is the best way to describe this ep too. do or die is a straight up peak of the night disco jam. big sample, big bass, big track. ooh ooh ooh leans on the soulful side of his sample selections and its wonky but funky composition never fails to turn heads. the final track live at music hall is straight up deep. so, something for everyone, no messing.

widely regarded as pioneers of pc music, blacknecks are proud to unveil their final and most shambolically cobbled-together record to date. after 6 half-arsed releases, a couple of half-arsed gigs and a brutally honest interview in a popular far-right culture pamph, all while managing to maintain their stellar uk garage careers, blacknecks are now dead.

this ep is part of a 2 ep series from steve romani (db_24) released on his own label modular machine records, following the urban works series released on ac records. the track *corridor* was previously released on ac_01 in 2009. the tracks mix various styles, to create a special downtempo ep. the 9 minute final track is a self remix of the track *urban maze* under the electro hip hop aka mattamass.

onnsets first release by jamie curnock begins the project with an introduction into the tougher sounds from the label in the form of grown and transportation. truss manages to take this a step further with his punishing remix. as onnset isnt strictly defined by a heavier sound, there is always room for the more experimental, as shown in the opening track extract and the deeper final track scavenger

the platform is extremely crowded, however, and she cant get to mick, who is standing at the opposite end, so she shouts his name. two other passengers relay the message to mick that sue wants to talk with him. what does she want? mick relays back. tell him that im not going to marry richard, sue shouts. why not? mick asks. -because i love you! she relays. when the message finally gets to mick, he tries to make his way through the crowd but he cant get to sue, so he climbs on top of the crowd and walks over the peoples shoulders to get to her. in the final scene, they embrace while the crowd cheers.

bm/cc/cws spectrum debuts the collaborative works of three new york gs: brendon moeller, clay wilson and oliver chapoy aka certain creatures. inspired by each others live performances at an industry of the machines party in may 14, brendon, clay and oliver re-convened for an impromptu recording session a week later. spectrum culls three serpentine heavy-weights from that session. each track warps modular meltdowns into aerobic feats of primed dj mayhem, mixing the visceral with the psychedelic for a twisted take on techno. *spectrum 1* peels queasy melodies off charburned, disintegrating toms that disappear into the howling vortex of *spectrum 2*. the third and final (for now) *spectrum* emission channels the most harrowing moments of the trios live performances - a deliberate, free-form exploration of technos widest fringes and wildest possibilities.

scubas phenix triptych reveals its final panel. a bite-size story in and of itself, and a fitting end-part to the greater sum, 3 feels like the latest acme of a diverse career. this is traditional beginning-middle-end story-telling: silence s call-and-response foretells of a blue funk ahead - funk in the figurative - as nineteen eighty transposes old chicago into an ad rem context. the disquiet continues on the other side, with plateaus exacting techno pulse underscoring astral synth work. tempo and temperature are pushed to an extent worthy of the resolution fade provides with its informal pace, acoustic disposition and celestial chimes

rough house rosie dedicates the sixth release to its japanese listeners with a four track compilation from four different japanese producers. legendary takayuki shiraishi (aka planetoid) releases a track nightfall which was first out in 2002 on a cd slow shoutin . he is teamed up with mitsuaki komamura renowned for his unique sound on record label weedis. miruga (ethereal sound / badance) delivers a strong deep track on b1, while mahal has his debut with a catchy bass driven tune as a final track of the ep.

airplay from steve barker (the wire) on bbc radio and support from tomas rubeck (eshu) among others. kicking off the new fifth interval label, san francisco based dub techno producer federsen heads up the premier release. the title track is a hazy dub techno trip filled with washes of tape delayed chords and crisp snares while the b1 track - 50hz is a far more broken affair, 140 bpm gear comparable to the likes of deadbeat and strategy. for the final track, isodyne (one half of forward strategy group) shakes up 50 hz, slowing it down to an incredibly weighty 115 bpm, finalising an excellent release with something for discerning djs of all tastes.

zone 4 was the first project that i created as a whole idea, the creation of zone 4 started around the time that the final track selection to a new world was taking shape. it sat for a number of years, shelved till the day that i found a label that would honor it the way i had envisioned.

*somebody* is the first single from the new aurra album *body rock* due out later this year on family groove records. once again the world gets to experience a lost disco-funk masterpiece providing another glimpse into the genius mind of slave founding-member steve washington & brides of funkenstein / p-funk singer sheila horne. body rock will be the second and final unearthing of the lost but found master tapes originally recorded for quincy jones qwest imprint in 1984. slap bass, heavy synths, linn drum, sultry vocals... this is modern funk at its finest!
the 24-track master tapes were transferred digitally and then mixed on an ssl board by kamal humphrey at his all-analog flying carpet studios in los angeles. the result is a full sound enhanced by the natural analog process using todays digital technology only when needed to clean up the files.
da-m-funk adds a bit of dirt and grime by putting his signature re-freak on the track. a confirmation from los angeles ambassador of boogie funk that this is in fact the the un-cut funk and nothing but the funk.

here comes the sun (1971) is an album by jazz singer-pianist nina simone, consisting of cover versions of songs by pop and rock musicians. it features songs recorded in the rca studios with a full orchestra and backing vocals. although simone covers songs by bob dylan and the beatles, among others, most of the versions feature arrangements substantially different from the original recordings. this is most clearly in the final song *my way*, which with its fast pacing rhythm deviates significantly from the usual interpretations. pressing on audiophile 180 gram vinyl.

for the second release on cb sessions christian teamed up with his old friend tomio tremmel, who is better known as -the sushi club- the guys spent some all night long sessions to tweak the gear. influenced by modular systems, the virus ti, tanzbär and the jomox 888 this ep offers a widespread variety of club sounds and results in three different electronic tunes, which are hard to describe … so you have to listen to it! also represented on this ep is italians best markus fix. since he has first heard christians -doubledub- he secretly trained everyday to sing the -supi dubi- hook. finally, after six years, he had the chance to present his skills in christians studio. don t miss the final tune - just supi dupi!
