its fair to say that vince watson is a true unsung hero of house and techno. the glasgow born producer and dj has been making genre defining and genre-bending records for almost 20 years, with highly celebrated releases on labels such as planet e, tresor, delsin, ibadan and his own bio music

18 jahre lang veröffentlichte paulo keine alben mehr, er trat zwar noch live auf, widmete sich aber sonst ganz seinem verlag in london. doch dann juckte es ihn wieder in den fingern. er begann, songs für ein neues album zu schreiben und aufzunehmen. das resultat ist ein feuerwerk aus funk und rock, handgemacht und sehr groovy.

eno louis gained a solid background in traditional edo music as a student at edo college in benin city, south-east nigeria. he lived at felas kalakuta republic till the army raid in 1978, when he moved to the us for a couple of years. on his return, he recorded with edo funk powerhouse the talents of benin, and quickly became a mainstay of the flourishing disco and boogie scene, in-demand as guitarist and drummer, with credits including releases by pogo ltd, amas grill, chris okotie, oby onyioha, chris mba, dizzy k falola, harry mosco, pat finn and the super elcados... to name just a few. the two tracks here are from louis debut lp, living in the usa.

2012 was without doubt the breakthrough year for south london ordnance. in the space of twelve months the 23 year old artist put out three separate 12 inches alongside a five track ep, which garnered support from jamie xx, scuba, benji b, mary ann hobbes, mosca, claude vonstroke, richie hawtin and more. his jungle-advised, finely honed productions also rightly earned him notable mention in several annual end of year roundups including dj mags best of british 2012, xlr8rs 4th best new act of 2012 (alongside disclosure and karenn), and time out uks djs to watch in 2013. with this debut outing on hotflush recordings scheduled for march, 2013 is set to be yet another strong year for the young producer.
