“kind of blue” is probably the best-selling jazz record of all time. we precede the familiar stereo version with the legendary “kind of blue” mono mix - legendary because columbia records claimed that the tapes had been discarded long ago. the avaxhome audiophile website approved of the new perspective mono offers on a time-honoured classic, saying: “if you’re only used to hearing it in stereo, this will be a different experience. it sounds kind of “forward”, particularly the saxes. overall it has a nice timbre, especially in the midrange.”

a time machine appeared to us recently in a cloud of smoke and a giant portal of light. out of the portal a smoking piece of futuristic metal emerged and fell onto our floor. closer examination revealed it to be a time capsule sent from the future. a message from the year 2043, it contained diagrams of futuristic machines from what looks to have been the studio sessions of the recordings presented here. here is what we found, a 2 track ep (plus remixes) from artists from the future. recordings made 21 years from now but from artists who you may have already heard of today.

>where are you now< was originally released in 2009 as the second release on best works records. a track in which lodemanns 90ies house-music knowledge is combined with the sounds of today always keeping the equilibrium between a classic american house-feel and berlin-ortientated somewhat minimal influence. of course the track also clearly shows lodemanns typical dramatic changes. the track became an underground hit over the years with a lot of people doing their own edits. we decided to re-release it with some remixes by some of our favorite artists incl. jimpster and ripperton. both managed to interpret the original vibe in their own way.
