vinyl release celbrating five years of claap. music by gummihz, nikola gala and kindimmer. the opening track by gummihz, titled paraphonic state, explores the beauty of paraphony. produced solely by using a drum machine and a paraphonic synthesizer, the arrangement focuses on the bare essentials of a monster of a track!

club cuts is the new release by gummihz. it features two dancefloor heavy tracks spanning from acid to dub house/ techno. on side a, aacid patch, is a serious dancefloor weapon with a characteristic killer tb 303 bassline and airy jazz piano licks, produced back in 2010. 8am groove, on the flip, is a dub cut that, in typical gummihz finese, rolls effortlesly between detroit house and techno. an excellent record cut for the dancefloor!

nightdrivers are an amazing italian production duo comprising of niccolo rufo aka rufus and martino marini aka mass prod. the duo caught our attention with previous releases on bosconi records as well as their recently released nightvisions ep on their self titled nightdrivers offshoot. two of italys finest comtemporary house producers, the easy life ep is a clear reflection of what sets these guys apart.

fourth single of the recently released gummihz presents alles claap vol.1 mixed compilation. for the last single we have two of claaps finest nikola gala and john dimas, who have remixed each other. the result is two tight grooves to keep you bouncing all night. sweat it out with nikolas raw take on johns quick dance. a remix heavy on the pressure! then john gives full swing to nikolas party people rolling out the originals tight arrangement to loose joints on the dancefloor!

third single of the upcoming debut mixed cd compilation gummihz presents alles claap vol.1. this time with jerome sydenham and manoo on remix duties. first up, secret voyage (claap004) by gummihz, is tranformed to an afro house groove raised to spiritual heights by one of frances most prominent house producers. based in lyon manoo is a name associated with quality productions and we are glad to have a remix of his on one of our most popular releases.

calling all party people out there! nikola gala is back on claap with a full ep that will make you dance n sweat! a core member of the claap family and rekids mainstay nikola has been busy working on some new material that will fascinate clubbers worldwide. both tracks carry galas signature sound. tight drums and hypnotizing hooks carry you to the point of seriously taking all your demons out on the dancefloor. we have had the pleasure to play the tracks out in the last few months on our showcases and they caused glorious responses everytime! if you consider yourself a member of the party breed then you shoud add this release to your playlist. party people in the house!

house up with claap!

square room heroes are back on claap with their debut ep. after releasing now is the time, back in september the heroes, george and george, have been busy working on new material.the two tracks featured on this ep comprise mainly of works from thessalonikis native george boronas.crashed detail with its enchanting string arrangement captivated label head gummihz who immediately rushed to provide a powerful and dramatic interpretation of the original.we are also very excited to have a remix from one of the grooviest house heads around, none other than ekkohaus. with a string of releases on labels like moon harbour, liebe detail, morris audio to name only a few, kostas tassopoulos has established a signature sound full of swing and shake!and his remix on crashed detail does exactly that. ekkohaus takes the stabs and chord arrangements to another level over his characteristic swinging beats. on the flip side pitch the feelings is rough n tough funk reminiscent of early 90s beefy sampling. srhs george boronas has chopped a funk groove up to the point of delirium in an effort to pay his dues to influences such as dj sneak and carl craig!

next release on claap coming up and it is another gummihz affair! after his last release on claap head rush last summer was snatched by the guys at defected for the defected in the house series, alex is back with his next record aptly titled rejuvenation ep. this two tracker carries a pair of absolutely necessary house grooves. rejuvenation features an elegant arpeggio which builds up to an intense crescendo bound to hypnotize dancefloors the world over. intense but very elegantly produced it carries alex’s signature sound and explores a similar musical territory to secret voyage (claap004) which has received overwhelming responses since its release. the motif on the flip side remains similar but with a more mature soundscape, showcasing alexs endless sonic diversity. add a bonus beatzz extract to round up an essential ep for the open air season and not only.

coming up on claap we welcome a new name on the label.bodj is an upcoming producer from athens (gr).a fresh face in the scene, bodj has already had a couple of releases under his belt and caused some serious heat with his blisters ep back in 2010!every day is an easy and very classy house cut. quite emotive with flowing rhythm patterns,it is an ode to every day lovin!on the remix duties,these days afficionado and man of the moment argy takes the track into a sweatier territory with his nyc dub mix.while, the love mix explores a more romantic side of the original track.label head gummihz rounds up the package with a bubbly night fever mix.a filtered disco house take,reminiscent of french house in the late 90s.top tip!

this time we present you with 3 new names on the labels roster. quell has already been causing waves this year with releases on esteemed imprints like ibadan, 8 bit and these days amongst others. his track >real people< has been a favourite with us since quell sent it out a few months back. steady and with a very pumpy bass, the track builds a very sensual mood reminiscent of the music played at the sound factory back in the days. jack union is a side project from label owner alex tsotsos for his retro sounding house productions. >you can make it< is exactly that. chunky drums and an oldschool sounding organ set the theme for a playful and heavy classic house track. on the flip, we introduce two long time friends the square room heroes. >now is the time< combines modern sound aesthetics with a smokey voice urging you to release the freak. from claap with love

already in the forth installment, claap continues its streak of quality releases. this time label head gummihz is back with a breazy and grooving maxi titled >head rush<. featuring four new cuts welcoming the summer heat. >head rush< is a captivating piece reminiscent of that 90s ny house sound. it is a nod to the past with a touch of now. breezy and cool, with the sort of drums that will keep the floor pumping. the drums out mix is a more pumped out version of the original, stripped down to the drums and voices. >secret voyage< taps into a more ballearic atmosphere. a captivating arpeggio draws the frame to a very elegant arrangement of organic rhythmical elements. >ruff passage< is a dubbier cut which was created to remind you of previous house producers of the ruff, think everybody be somebody (ruffneck)!! a must have for all occasions to keep the heat on!!

the next release on claap is a joint venture between two label favourites. on side a, nikola galas >oasy< and >paradise (tool)< are two very tightly structured affairs! perfectly produced and oh so functional, they are another strong proof of the reasons for which nikola has been making waves in the scene for more than a decade. the overall feel in both tracks follows the same path along nikolas previous work on rekids and ibadan records, amongst others, along with releases on his own label escada music. we are also very glad to welcome a long time favourite john dimas. hailing from the beautiful city of thessaloniki in greece, john is a young and aspiring dj and producer who has been working with labels such as d julzs exciting bass culture. john has been steadily making a strong impression with his colourful, solid and passionate dj performances! >get it< is a very groovy, playful and smart track. reminiscent of older chicago house with a fresh touch. to round up the package, label head gummihz offers a disco orientated >get down mix...

the second release on claap appeals to those who enjoy mixing long transitions and like to create moments during their dj set. sounds from the continents features two wonderfull musical collages, inspired from the favourite findings of label head gummihz in world music. loose percussion, hypnotising xylophones, guitars and singing voices take you on an introductory trip to the beautiful soundscapes of the african continent. high priest and toba lee theme also feature elements of field recordings which alex has collected throughout the years. sharpened with an extra edge for those who seek!
