some still know very little about t&b artist josefine jinder, so let us introduce her to you. in august 2008 we saw the debut ep of little jinder, >polyhedron<, and soon after in october 08 we gave >polyhedron< the remix treatment with loads of t&b producers. in june 09, after countless gigs and production work, jinder returned to the t&b catalog with >youth blood< on their scion comp. the tune was such a hit t&b had no other choice but to give this epic blood sucker disco house anthem the same remixing treatment as >polyhedron<. as usual, t&b remixes are all over the board from a joker-esque dubstep remix by 12th planet & flinch, a monster mash heavy bass electro remix from sharkslayer to a remix by tomas andersson, who graces this 12 inch with a smooth rolling disco remix straight from the dub factory. this is one of many releases to come from jinder, this is her first single in support of her full length record to come out in 2010. definitely an artist to watch.

final daniel wang release on rush hour, incl. 6 tracks not on the recent compilation. the balihu bootleg ep is the final release in the best of balihu series on rush hour. this 6 track ep holds two unreleased tracks (!) and four early works and b-sides. this ep starts with sylver belt which was included on the never released and much in demand balihu 002. not feeling it and east side hustle are early b-side balihu tracks that were not featured on the compilation. side b continues with the instrumental version of if it feels good. this deep, electronic track was taken from the vault of danny and has not been released before. shadows & unhouse are again two early danny tracks that were not on the balihu compilation. and with this limited ep we close off this wonderful project with danny. we hope to see him back one day with new music

encer kincy was giant in chicagos house music revival - part of the second wave of younger djs and producers that took the music of the early 1980s, rubbed it up and dropped it in places like 500 west cermak, medusa’s and the vault. a lot of people who are now superstars of the scene - mark farina, sneak, derrick carter, and dozens of others - were a part of that movement, too. spencer released a number of tracks on relief, planet e, cajual, peace frog - labels representing the classics of that era - and he usually recorded under the name gemini. as a dj, he operated in his own space - i’m sure he could play for a room, and sometimes did, but the unrestrained madness of a spencer kincy dj set had to be heard over several hours to appreciate. he could blend a sleazy disco track into hard acid, downtempo into a punishing armani track, jazz into detroit techno and so on. it wasn’t technically brilliant or tricky, but the selection was exquisite. a number of figures from his era still list him as an influence. his productions, viewed as a whole, are so much like his sets: going softer than many dared to go, and going much harder than just about any dared to go. simple jack tracks! respected by the standards of the industry of the time, and you certainly couldn’t go anywhere in chicago without hearing derrick, sneak, mark, lego, gene, jevon, diz, johnny or the other djs beating them. and so many of them have a timelessness - a little piece of eternity stuck like some bit of wax between the grooves

iron curtis is a berlin based young producer. his debut release on tensnakes mirau was supported a lot from many djs and deetron picked his track to his mix cd on music man. this his third release contains three unique touch detroitish house tracks. title track of >großreuth 1< is a winner of this ep. it reminds old school detroit house track and simply effective in the club. this track will be useful dj tool for any house and techno djs. >save the night<, >80 g< on the opposite side are little bit more deep house style. i would like to recommend these tracks to the fan of underground quality or that kind of underground house.

in 2010 desolat continues its one year old x series with m.in: >sing and blow at the same time<. m.in is an young artist from frankfurt area developing his individual music taste by being open-minded towards other genres. his interpretation of house / tech-house is spiced up with jazz, soul and afrobeat elements in order to present a varied and sophisticated blend to his audience and led to numerous well received solo releases and remixes for radio slave and italoboyz amongst others. m.ins house and his versatile beat programming caught our attention a long time ago - and the title track here simply seemed to be tailor-made for loco dice and his sets. >sing and blow at the same time< was probably one of the best kept secrets since last summer and now it’s time to reveal it. this new desolat x will be the first in the series to be available as a digital file as well. its coloured vinyl, with artwork by florian pohl and mastering by enrico mercaldi, will remain a collectors item - great sounding and good looking.

the bold and futuristic year of 2010 sees the release of >werkschau<, an unmixed compilation that gathers together a hand picked selection of the producers favourite cuts. the music stands for all that he loves, and what he loves he puts on show! summing up the landsky sound, and looking back over the years one cant help but feel a deep underlying quality emanate from the music. like subtle, mature flavours running through a well-prepared banquet. this special ep, capturing three choice tracks from those on offer on the compilaiton, includes some of our favourite landsky material, re-visited. firstly the seminal >1000 miles< is re-interpreted and brought up-to date, with landskys >2000 miles<. a strong driving powerhouse of reduced acid signals and hypnotic synth phrases, its the sound of martin landsky, future, present and past. a real deep running story of a track, >naked< is rich with thick bass and phasing, tripping chords, running percussion and growing tension that never ends. fitting to any occassion, the track was originally released on landskys own intim label and sounds as fresh now as the day it was released. tying things up the taught, tense and grooving tones of >monitor one< sail through. this futuristic house cut revolves around a staccato bass hook that drips with funk, echoing of landskys dj history that began before house was ever invented!

watch out for the first hip hop release of mule musiq! olive oil is the hottest japanese underground hip hop artist at the moment. they became popular and popular since they produced many tracks for rapper and huge success of their 2nd album. they have released two album,one sigle collection album and some 12inch and remix. their biggest track >pianity< was played by gilles peterson on bbc. this single is a first single cut from their new album >space in space< which will be released in feburuary on mule musiq. olive oil have a unique own style, its like a fusion of prefuse 73 and flying lotus and madlib. if you like the sound of them, you definetly need to check olive oil!

coloured vinyl! yoshihiro hanno aka radiq is a highly acclaimed musician and composer from japan, now living and working between tokyo and paris. he did releases on imprints like sub rosa, logistic and progressive form. hanno worked with the new japan philharmonic orchestra as well as arto lindsey or ryuichi sakamoto. besides he got international fame as a composer for different film scores including work with asian movie master hou hsiao-hsien and film director jia zhang-ke. radiq is since some time well aligned with the philpot camp. when he and soulphiction met again last year during the philpot tour in japan, co-operation was affirmed and tracks were committed. two of those funky nuggets are released here, one coming with a brilliant soulphiction remix treatment. >thanks for purchasing a real copy!!<

one of the most in demand tracks from the >technique< album finally gets a full single release complete with re-fixes from prosumer and kruse & nuernberg. ernestos vocal fully lends itself to the prosumer soundsignature, his mix floats and weaves around ernestos vocal, peaking around his own chords before stripping things back to bare essentials and rebuilding like only he can. the kruse& nuernberg mix is hypnotic, percussive old school house music at its best. they take a small snippet of the vocal and build the groove relentlessly until the whole room is shaking. achim brandenburg aka prosumer lives in berlin where he is resident at panorama bar, weaving together the finest blend of soulful house sounds. an expert in classic chicago house and detroit techno, his first release was in 2004 on 240 volts, followed by playhouse and ostgut, where he released his debut album with murat tepeli in 2008. separately, hamburg based florian kruse & nils nûrnberg have created some of the most interesting deep house around in the past few years, with early highlights incl nils >caught a glimpse< on 8bit, and florians >love hurts< release on om records. since then, as solo producers, but more importantly together as kruse & nûrnberg they have climbed closer to the tree-top with their unique brand of mouth-watering underground house.

marco resmann sent out a few remix invitations to selected producer-friends throughout the world last year. the idea was to remix one of his favorite tracks on upon you. the results are now in and will now be used to usher in the new musical year 2010.

christian loefflers raise ep is one of the most stunning pieces of recorded electronic music - at least thats what glitterbug and the rest of c.sides thought when the demo was first played back in their cologne studio, and they have been in love ever since.

pattern repeat is a new music-project and label by kenneth christiansen, echocord & echocord colour label boss, and his partner dennis bøg aka resoe, running the baum label. the pattern repeat label will only containsproductions from kenneth & dennis, and the music is focused on the modern berlin techno sound today, dubstep and dub-techno. pattern repeat will also release records on other labels, so far the first one is out on echocordcolour. kenneth and dennis met eachother 8 years ago when they worked together in at that time famous copenhagen-record-shop >loud<, which closed 5 years ago. at that time dennis was more into broken beat, hip-hop anddeep house. kenneth was already running the label echocord, and soon dennis started his label baum. the label baum is also like echocord, releasing dub-techno, and dennis started to release his own material as resoe, andbuilded up his studio the years after.1 year ago we decided to try to do a new project together, working together in the studio, and now pattern repeat is born.

in mos ferrys eyes mikael stavostrands no turning back(mfp024) release at the end of 2006 still marks a highlight of his minimal techno period - and this is not only because of big bullys unmistakable vocals. now, none other than daniel sanchez (mumbling yeah) takes up the subject once again and with his no turning back remix he picks up where the krause duo started tastefully back then. daniels 12 minutes remix relies totally on an energetic rolling groove and puts the vocals always precisely when others would think it cant get more driving. the second remix was made by mikael stavostrand himself and is a straight and spatial welldesigned dj tool. for his own re-interpretation big bully got reinforcement through the argentinean odnu and heads more towards dub techno. these are three very succeeded remixes, which awake the desire to listen one more time to the original (despite the title)

fresh 2010 repress !! historia y violencia is a new project exploring the hispanic roots of santiago salazar (dj s2) and j. mendez (silent servant). both producers dissect their latin upbringings as a cinematic theme to create snapshots of the day-to-day blood and sweat that has shaped them as individuals. the sound takes cue from detroit, berlin and chicago to create classic, deep dancefloor tracks. santiago salazar started djing in the early 90s inspired by mix tapes his brother was bringing back from the gay underground scene in los angeles. his style has always been a mixture of house and techno. after moving to detroit, santiago began his music training with mike banks, label founder of underground resistance. he is also half of the duo ican (ican productions / planet e) who have been responsible for some killer techno releases. the central american born j. mendez cut his teeth as jasper in the late 90s/early 2000s, running the california-based cytrax label. a veteran dj from the age of 16, he has performed worldwide in clubs from berlin to osaka. along with technical wizards kit clayton and sutekh, he helped shed light on the small but influential minimal techno scene on the west coast. a chance meeting with karl oconnor in 1999 established a friendship that would later open the door to the sandwell district label in 2006. silent servants sound is a reinterpretation of early 80s post-punk electronics, paired with the deep, metallic sounds of basic channel and downwards.

following up the dancefloor smasher that was i thought inside out, deadmau5 and chris lake join forces once again to bring you i said. the original mix is all about the killer, heads down groove, dirty tom led drums provide a perfect base for the jittery percussion, deep bass and bleeping synths, which all push into breakdown of epic proportions. michael woods returns to mau5trap after smashing his remix of the might strobe

it was only a matter of time. two genre-defining artists together ... pop music and dance musics most famous arbiters of taste, collaborating at last. dj hells >u can dance< is an interpretation of an unreleased bryan ferry song, but its one that reflects a perfect melding of two distinct personalities, a record that sounds as if the voice and music were made for each other.
hell, of course, has been riding high on the success of >teufelswerk<, his masterpiece of a double album, a journey replete with fruitful experiments and club bombs. one that has yielded both massive hits and not a tiny bit of controversy along the way. ferry, meanwhile, has been as busy as ever—recording a new album, performing in places as far afield as siberia, opening up the cannes film festival ... basically just being bryan ferry.
and now here they are together ... it all started in 2006 when hell dropped in to meet ferry at his west london studio. at first they discussed hell remixing an old roxy music track, and then it turned into something else - something new (u can dance).
they had similar impressions of one another — hell: >i was impressed by his aura and his look.<, ferry: >he impressed us with his sophistication and charm.< fast forward a few years later, and hell is hard at work on teufelswerk and putting the finishing touches on the aforementioned song titled >u can dance<, a serpentine moroder-esque disco burner. with the help of old friend peter kruder, of kruder and dorfmeister fame, hell fashioned the song into a smoldering nine-minute highlight of the double disc set, in which ferry turns in a typically assured vocal performance.
ferry may seem like an unexpected fan of dance, but hes been going to clubs since he was a teenager, and in his lengthy career hes worked with legends such as nile rodgers of chic and david williams from michael jacksons band. >its always a pleasure to work with people from that genre, who follow a singular groove.<
the single follows in the wake of hells >the dj feat. p. diddy< which has won over floors and critics alike with its nearly 30-minute radio slave remix and fine work from the likes of deetron, jay haze and others. on >u can dance< hell and ferry have similarly pulled out all the stops for the remixes, gathering up work from the grammy-nominated producer carl craig, dfa mainstay tim goldsworthy and pop electro superstars simian mobile disco.

way ahead of its time and quite incredible to imagine such a modern sounding record could have been made so many years ago... this cult new wave/dance cover of the doors classic was taken off the first of the two long players that la synth band moebius (not to be confused with german electronic maestro... dieter moebius of cluster and harmonia fame ) released on moonwind records, 1979-1980.

dj sprinkles aka terre thaemlitz is back!! after the huge successful of debut album midtown 120 blues & excellent mcde remix, dj sprinkles came back with massive old school house track masturjakor. dub version of this song was already incuded to mule musiq compilation (now endless flight compilation) im starting to feel ok. but now finally on vinyl with three version and mighty kink & the neville remix. dont miss it if you love house music!!

>deep cover< was the standout track on the album and gets the remix treatment from 2 of the brightest stars on the deep house scene.
roberto rodriguez builds up a massive groover with similarities to mid 90s deep dish sound but injects a slice of analog funk to it, showing the talent and nourishment in his music.
vincenzo takes a deeper road, teasing the groove to slowly evolve into a tastemakers choice as we know him. deep, yet driving his mix fits perfect those early morning hands-in-da-air moments.
