forget me not is a trio from bristol with a rich musical history and close association to the city from which they hail. as solo artists they have put out countless d&b 12 inches and now combine their forces into an even more powerful production outfit. and that is all we are telling you ahead of the release of their four track ep, stronger, on losing suki.
a unique collaborative project by visual artist charlie white and musician / producer boom bip, pressed on white vinyl. together the pair have created an ep of dance tracks based on in-depth interviews of teenage girls with accompanying photographic images. the magical, yet sometimes uncomfortable results are now made available on a very limited edition 12 inch. each of the 5 tracks captures the essence of a different teenager, from the privileged and popular georgia musing on the importance of being liked, to the sultry and complicated isabelle recalling her melancholy crushes of freshman year. the original interviews were painstakingly edited and set against the pin-sharp boom bip productions they inspired, whilst the visual element was born out of whites intensive photographic study of a teenage girl living in the isolated suburbs of southern california. white generated around 11k images over 2 years and has selected 12 for *music for sleeping children*. in addition to the 5 original tracks this package includes 5 instrumentals exclusive to this vinyl format. grab this while you can!

in the realm of electronic music australia isnt down under anymore but rather up there: so many fresh new producers pop up now and bell towers - aka melbourne resident roman wafers and one half of the bamboo musik dj team - proves himself one of the most promising ambassadors with his debut on internasjonal.
tropics a.k.a. chris ward first appeared on planet mu last year, following up two eps with the album parodia flare. commended by pitchfork for his lush soundscapes and hazy pop, whats clear with tropics is that he listens to a lot of dance music and he cares about production values. the synth and beat programming is as competent as anything out there, and he avoids lazy indie stylings and one button bontempi organ beats – his are crafted songs, much of the pleasure lying in his gift for dynamic arrangement, which is a joy amid rafts of useful formulaically assembled house tracks.
in common with the general post-financial collapse vibe there is less sunshine in this ep than before, and he has absorbed something from a year of intensive house music listening, but chris essential qualities remain a forward-looking wistfulness, hope beneath melancholy, something even more acutely needed now than before. oh look! here comes winter.
following lion fire featuring jinxs first release on dread and having featured on the dub dread 4 cd compilation this now gets a vinyl release. big in the game huge dance floor anthem.
the ep is a limited edition vinyl release, grab them while you can.
the new vinyl release by stefan gubatz features unreleased new dance floor versions of his tracks >byte and scratch< and >offshore< (which had originally appeared as electronic versions on cd) which appear now exclusively for the first time on the telrae vinyl 10 inch series as reworks. >byte and scratch rework< generates a subtle form of urgency which slowly step by step takes possession of yours and does not loose its grip till the very end. stefan has reworked the original for the club, has kept many details in the process of the sound shaping while on the other hand has changed the arrangement and dominance of key sounds very skillfully. he has transferred a piece of electronica into an intense piece of dub techno. >offshore rework< is the counterpart of >byte and scratch rework< being much more ease and repetitive... more in the fashion of some of stefans 10 releases on telrae before
my childhood was, from what i understand now as a grown up, not so bad after all. i had the possibility to do pretty much what i wanted as long as i didnt hurt anyone or myself for that matter. i had some friends, some of them i would consider my best friends ever
tom budden has been heavily involved in the industry for several years now, working with the likes of time has changed and suara and launched his own label, alive in 2008, which has welcomed rising artists in the shape of krl, rebel, bubba & t-bone and chris james onto its roster. here tom joins the gruuv label with more refreshing house cuts, following the footsteps of huxley, luna city express and catz n dogz.
christopher rau has been impressing people since a while! here three tracks that impressed the junk yard connections crew a while ago on a mix tape, not knowing what it was, or who it was! finally they tracked down its origins and found out that it was unreleased tracks by christopher! now finally these tracks see the day light! inter alia, *the green bean*, which has some of that sexy swampy house vibe like theo parrish or stl can do. on the flip its *some song* with its more techier vibe, somehow with an atmosphere reminding of model 500s classic starlight. and last but not least the b2 track no chatter with its up beat house vibe. amazing tracks that are the first tracks on the label from outside the jyc crew. tracks that are here to stay on valuable wax. another cool junk yard connections release.
last year kyodai dropped breaking, which to date is the biggest selling release on local talk. now the brothers are back with in our opinion a future house anthem. the scene is a classic piano house cut that’s impossible to resist and together with one the coolest vocal samples we’ve ever heard we think this has the potential to go really big. when the breakdown drops we’re pretty sure everybody in the club will chant. but as if this was not enough we also got another big tune on the b-side. moving is the continuation of “breaking” and goes along the same lines with its crossover jazz styled house. once again kyodai delivers a supa solid house production with large jazz breakdowns and old school vocals that’s right up their with ”breaking”. this is also why we called it…breaking pt.2. kyodai is currently working on their debut album for local talk which is due later this year. they’re also travelling around the world with their amazing live dj set that we highly recommend. trust us when we say that these two brothers really now how to turn up the heat in a club…serious biz!

roberto finally debuts on be as one after having recently joined the label booking agency and main core, and he does it with style. for those that have been keeping an ear on the uk techno sound roberto should not be a new name by now, having released a series of well received eps on artform and affin, and being a resident at londons legendary fabric club.

mule musiq now proudly presents eleven unreleased compositions by roedelius produced between 1990 and 2001. all of them are pearls of electronic deepness that show another side of the man that lives in the little lower austrian town baden. his famouse ultra sweet piano melodies can be heard – but they are not the centre of the productions. instead a more electronic side of his genius call the tune. with a minimalistic approach he let synth melodies highfly while some droney, melancholic atmospheres enlarge in the background.
vinyl only! after composing the official soundtrack of the bobsleight and skeleton world championships, the swiss producer jérôme keller is now delivering this long techno track for the new label spread love.9.28 minutes of powerful kicks, rhythms and basses topped by ecstat
four releases in now and the quality continues on midnight love club! montel presents the forth release in the shape of 3 heavy duty club cuts with a rather distinct nod to the house sound of 90s nyc/nj. there s not too much info on this montel character, but one thing we do know is that he s a man with a penchant for vintage house & garage. a dj, collector and producer that has decided to give back a little after all these years. and these years of experience are certainly evident in his authentic house and garage sound that has already picked up a fan base that includes bicep, jordan peak and waze & odyssey!
embossed sleeve-art / 180gr-vinyl - the a side sees gerry rooney and joel martin extending the title track of phil s 1977 album ?listen now?, adding live percussion for a deep, mid-tempo dancefloor odyssey. the flip is a shimmering rework of the almost proto-house track criollo by tokyo?s being borings, aka kenji takimi and tomoki kanda.
macchina nera an mysterious alpine character already gave a guest appearance at pam 15.5 besides the label boss anette party. now it is his turn to rev up. and you just hold his debut ep in your hand.
here the super chef mixes up what came under his nose in the last decades. house tunes, a sirens voice that even would have made good old sylvester jealous together with an ass moving groove that bring every epic-o-meter to explosion. the essence unveils the pure sou of this exceptional talent. full of love turned it all pastamusik co-workers to little creatures floating through the office on hand made hearts. macchina nera is a well known old stager in his hometown who represents the munich lifestyle and joy as (almost) no other. but – this is only the beginning. s o o n we wll be back to release a of full album of this gem-artist as well as a number of remixes suitable for all (s) ex positions. remember his name!

echocord is back with the first release of 2013. the first ep this year will be by the echocord veteran mikkel metal aka mikkel meldgaard, who keep turning back to echocord and echocord colour. after many eps and albums he is now back with his new record without ep. without ep is a very solid and diverse release putting a fine variety in production on display. from the slow tough groove of parre work through the rolling groove with filtered themes of retro and finally to the more classic electronica sounding until its over we are unmistakably and safely in the hands of mikkel metal. mikkel metal has been releasing on many differnt labels over the last 10 years, lately also signed to the lovely labels tartelet and the label semantica

sheffield based john shima joins the diametric. family. after a series of digital releases in the last years it is a tremendous pleasure to release the very first vinyl 12 inch of john on diametric. his music could be easily described as the logical progression of the legacy of famous uk acts such as b12, stasis or nuron, but that would be only half the story really. john mixes very emotional and deep techno with intrinsic and delicate rhythmic structures, in parts even harsh sounding bitcrushed percussions, and idm influences together to his very own special blend. now we can already hear the stupid comments from the haters saying that his music doesnt sound new and like the next big hype but the simple answer is: even if so, who gives a f#ck? it is great electronic music and diametric. certainly hopes you enjoy this record and are blown away like us.300 handnumbered limited vinyl copies only. no digital distribution.
bringin’, to ya…, your daily dose of deep house music, sweetwax is a new force to be reckoned with. despite being a young record label, sweetwax is operated by two old blokes who still love their music on vinyl. so expect deep sounds on sweet wax.

we are super stoked to have this killer ep out on local talk as we have been big fans of both c.r.s.t. and chesus productions for good while now. as these guys are down with both house music and the uk garage scene we get served an ep that combines the best of both styles. the result is a jacked up house release that would work equally well at the classic new jersey zanzibar club or in your dirty london basement club. the first three tracks (monster munch, newark and life) takes us on a deep and jackin house trip with a bouncy garage twist. but to stir things up a lil extra the last track (special) goes all disco with some soulful philly samples ... perfect for the southport weekender crews!
hanne & lore are proudly presenting their very own label: heulsuse. the first ep is a double a-side called -magdaria / malena- with remixes from niconé & gunjah (stil vor talent, dantze, moensterbox) and zombie disco squad (made to play). so please stop crying now - it s finally coming !
when henrik schwarz heard the music from johannes brecht he knew now was the time to reactivate his label sunday-music again that hasnt released a record in quite a while now.
2 hypnotic house tracks with the the moles typical twisted disco atmosphere. back in the early 2000s colin de la plante developed a very unique language as producer, which he has constantly continued, perfected and varied until today. no matter if the moles productions made a move towards techno, minimal house or deep house: his great love for disco music always shines through in a very distinctive way, sometimes very obvious, sometimes hidden in the background. the 2 tracks that will be released on slices of life presents the moles hypnotic and amazing paranoid disco side.
soniculture continues its series of underground releases with tracks from famous artists that are on a secret mission. physical format will be on vinyl with black sleeves and no information whatsoever about the artists. we are just disclosing the number of tracks and the running time of each one. after the success of the great kick-off for this series, now we have another amazing release with three tracks from a really reputable artist that has left his mark in the techno scene for many years now.
nx1 are samot and surit, childhood friends and long-time production partners. hailing from the same town in majorca the pair have spent the last ten years developing a mutual passion and utopic vision for contemporary techno as individual artists, a collaboration now formally coming to fruition as nexe records.
for our 7th release, we give you the opportunity to grab 4 fantastic trax done by one of th ebest deep house producer right now : adryiano. hes a music lover and vinyl enthusiast from cologne germany rooted somewhere inbetween the 90s house sub-genres. pretty much into vintage gear when it comes to productions using 90s hardware like the mpc 2000xl. he has already released a brillant ep on soul notes recordings. this ep is clearly made for the new jerseyish deep house heads. old scool vibe with some serious banging kicks and an incredible groove. such an ep just demonstrate how on top of their game skylax / wax classic is right now - big tip!

detroit veteran len bartush (mutate) returns to advance the series that began with the now classic circle 1. a full round kick and jack style upbeats are all that is necessary to support the deep, modulated synth lines that travel through lush plates of reverb. alberto pascual hits a homerun with his remix that will move any club, festival, or warehouse party. project 313s remix supplies moving synth lines are stripped down and replaced with driving rhythms and pulsating bass making this a superb techno offering. the plankton remix turns up the tension with warehouse style percussion and intertwining rhythms complimented by science- fictionesque stabs and pounding bass. the >circle 2< ep is an essential piece of detroit minimalism.

oliver hos alias for the less obvious techno stompers has always been full of surprises. although you can take the man out of the rave, but not the rave out of the man, raudives >traffic ep< is a retro futuristic team of hermaphrodites. four tracks that recall metal dance - the genre that never was - as well as disco elements, house hints, a techno taste and wave wonders. a record made for sven vaeth and trevor jackson, with >beams< already on heavy rotation with dixon and ame for a while now.
