loved by the robsoul community for his beats from the streets series, the san jose resident first appeared on the label back in 2012 with a trio of tracks that made up vol.1. two more collections followed and firmly established arturo as one of the labels most exciting talents.a label boss himself, arturo is seen as having helped define what is known as the silicon valley sound. his own blend of beat-laden house infused with elements of soul, funk and disco has seen him become a favourite the of sneak, farina and weeks.arturo rolls out fabels of funk and frolics on the storytelling ep, lead by the low-slung swing and diva sounds of ‘another day’. the pummeling kick drum of ‘deep inside of you’ jumps up and slaps us round the face, followed by the bumping title track with its deep chime and floating flute melody. the final tale in this story is the guitar-licked, bass-slapped wonder of ‘delight’

cliques—the collaborative project of sydney, australia based hamish dixon and george nicholas—fuse rolling techno momentum with a sound system focus, culminating in innovative and heavyweight dance floor material. having steadily built a strong reputation for themselves, with crucial early support from dj oneman, and to date they’ve released on aquatic lab, as well as a track on the most recent tempa allstars (‘aut’ - tempa allstars vol.8). they now move on to their first solo project for tempa, the ‘dotted’ ep.

nyc loft trax unreleased vol.3 quintuple loft classics

mike ash returns to super rhythm trax after providing the very first release and gives us 4 authentic and acidic warehouse smashers. mike ash may be familiar from early releases on moving shadow and rising high records under a variety of pseudonyms in the early 90s but in the last 10 years has become synonymous with releasing mind blowing and true electro under his own name. when he turns his hand to acid house, the results mirror the high quality and his no nonsense approach shines through having lived and breathed the music and culture back when it was exploding in the late 80s and early 90s. in his own words i tried to keep with the original 1988/1989 vibe. i didnt use any synths / sounds / samples that weren t available past 1990. its all juno / sh-101 / 303 / jupiter / 808 / 909 / 707 / 606 and samples from the beats breaks & scratches vol 1&2inch the tracks exude a raw and strangled soul and are a bold and comfortingly honest take on the warehouse and pirate radio sound of the uk.

with two releases already under his belt on clone, gary gritness aka slikk tim lands on hypercolour with the sugar cane chronicles vol. 1. gritness may be a relatively new name on the block, but his session work for artists like kenny bobien, louie vega and grant nelson has marked up this multi-instrumentalist as a clear talent. hailing from france, gritness had been spotted by underground resitances mad mike banks as one to watch, and on his hypercolour release, displays a deft hand of producing futuristic funk sounds. a spot on blend of raw drum programming and blissfull jazz funk riffs, preachin some tight game sets the eps tone just right with its infectious melodies and cruising groove. darker 1980s soundtrack vibes are explored on stayin strong hand with its thick analogue atmosphere, whilst the laid back and freestyle vibes of working girls demands to be played in the cadillac with the top down! ep closer, fly shit, continues with the tranquil melodies and g-funk factor.

nyc loft trax unreleased vol. 2 give me shelter. not much known about this release but made by seminal production outfit in the mid 90 s nyc. never before released in any format! all killer no filler! the first volume sold out in days... dont hand around.

ltd coloured vinyl , vol.11 of star dub series

repress - afrobeat makers vol. 3 >> nu guinea comes back with a joint venture between comet records and early sounds recordings. by re-working the original magic drum patterns from the afrobeat master tony allen, they created a compilation of tracks which is charged by a voluminous electronic jazz-funk imprint.

the last couple of years have been huge for pomo, going from a relatively obscure canadian producer to releasing his debut ep on hw&w, remixing for the likes of janet jackson and mark ronson, and touring the globe with disclosure as their hand-picked opening act.
bastard jazz has commissioned pomo to be next in line for the fourth volume of their *tempo dreams* compilation albums, following on the heels of the hotly contested soul clap compiled vol. 3. as with other tempo dreams records, we tease it out with a limited 7 inch release with tracks from the compiler made specifically for the tempo dreams album.
*blue soda* (part 1) - pomos first original release since his ep in november of 2014 is a typical, rollicking pomo new disco joint with stabbing synths, chopped vocal samples and an irresistible bassline. part 2 on the flip-side delivers more of the same, with a little more of an introspective twist. part 2 is exclusive to the 7 inch only and wont be on the album.

attd vol 9 is a banger, fetauring remixes from fouk, nachtbraker & crackazat alongside jn himself.

l_ is the moniker of the brazilian producer and sound artist luis fernando. having released his debut album love is hell in 2014 through the berlin-based antime imprint, he also received attention with a slew of remixes and contributed to several compilations, most notably »hy brazil vol. 7« which was hand-selected by chico dub, one of the most important figures in the brazilian electronic music scene.
the 6 track vinyl release includes a download code.

lillo carillo is a young italian dj and producer with several years of background behind. born and raised near the city of naples, he settled in milan from several years where he immediately fit in the circuit of the main local clubs, getting noticed for energy and creativity behind the dj booth. simultaneously lillo offers his musical skills by working with several italian fashion brands for which he is a sound designe. in 2014 he released his first remix for an ep vinyl with editors kutz vol.4, collaborating with manufacturers which are already known in the world of the nu-disco, as sleazy mcqueen and 78edits, therefor experiencing a strong success that makes him known even outside italian territory. after a winter spent in the recording studio, he is finally ready for his new ep on the newly released palm hands recording, where you can see all the talent and eclecticism of a young italian producer, a master in juggling house sounds, rnb, disco and funk.

edition 282 marks the long awaited debut of manuel anós aka psyk on the expansive and honorable tresor records catalog.
the madrid-based producer had previously released a single track jackin under the alias maan back in 2012 on dj deep s kern vol. 01 compilation.
psyk takes the stage with a four-track solo ep ‘works’. on both side’s first positions – with ‘definition’ and ‘balance’ – psyk delivers electrifying tracks teetering on the boundaries of hypnosis.
on the inner-rims, psyk slows down the pace with ’stigma’ and ‘lowdown’, introducing some industrial tones to his techno equation.

new zealand based crate digger frank booker invites good friend julien dyne to drop the second release on his new imprint down in the basement. jd picks up where the man called booker left off on vol 1 and gets straight up to speed cutting up rare boogie, disco and afro jams and employing his trademark raw cuts in an old school style, while lacing oodles of fx n stuff into the mix. the overall sound is reminiscent of the early idjut boys material, which is so close to mr booker s heart.

descendants of the deep kick off with the hot from chicago to detroit vol 1 series showcasing masterful trax from jordan fields, vincent floyd, leandre & the grand finale detroit dubz featuring mike huckaby by norm talley known for incredible works on third ear, track mode & dockside. limited.

jesse calosso is a bronx-born dj and producer, part of a tight clique of new york artists that includes such luminaries as the martinez brothers and filsonik. 2015 has been a busy year for him. not only has he completed a mix-tape style album as masters at dutch with the martinez brothers and blas cordero, but also his tracks serving size and whatever right now appeared on the tuskegee ep the come up vol 1. he has dj-d at output in brooklyn, circoloco in ibiza and at seth troxlers acid future party in london to name but three. now, he releases a brand new four-track ep called the incoming on cutting headz.

after a long time, rhadow and ntfo finally met in the studio again to work on the next edition of sintope s slagare series. but not just another regular session... the romanians went fully analogue for a couple of days without phones and computers - just drum machines and instruments. the result is slagare vol. 5 and comes with two tracks in a very limited vinyl only edition of just 300 copies. so better be quick.

his career began in the mid 90s as part of 1st down, which consisted of phat kat on vocals and jay dee on production. the group was short lived however, possibly because of insufficient support/promotion from their label, payday, but the two continued to collaborate on many occasions afterwards, starting with an appearance on fat cat song and its remix, from slum villages fan tas-tic (vol. 1).

our favorite new producer musk finally debut on mule musiq after excellent remix for kza and kuniyuki and the track for i m starting feel ok vol.6. on and on on a side is massive chicago house track and mysore on b side is modern berlin house sound. both are killer!

buttechno is pavel milyakov, an unknown music producer from moscow suburbs and one of the local rising underground scenes leading voices. his debut record sport is a soundtrack to russian designer gosha rubchinskys aw15 fashion show and this synthy, spasmodic music proves to be as fresh as rubchinskys works. the world of buttechno is dark, experimental and ever changing whether he djs or plays live, he puts audience in a state of deep self-reflective meditation with a variety of tools ranging from astonishing post apocalyptic techno soundscapes to melancholic house structures.

although still relatively young, matt star started his career in the late nineties followed by his first vinyl release in 2006. his music has since appeared on the likes of hypercolour, cocoon, repeat music, rawax and many more. following an appearance on the label as part of our latest mix cd (leftback vol.1) matt now joins the leftback roster for his first full ep on the label accompanied by a remix by label heads michael mclardy & dudley strangeways

who better to inaugurate your label than andreas gehm? simple, no-one. glasgow’s schrodinger’s cat is sinking claws and teeth into vinyl with five tracks of blistering tb303 goodness from the cologne man. mr gehm is in fine form as he serves up a quintet of very different cuts. from the warbling wonderment of -blind eyes- to squawking darkness of -jak the floor-, this ep shows how talented this machine musician is. -can you hear me girl- is jilted lover, stalker house, beady eyes peering into misted windows material. the elec pt 1 hood is donned for the dirtiest track of the 12inch. grimy claps are further polluted by bending acid lines in a work overflowing with violence. out of the leftfield comes the finale. -systems go- throbs with rumbling rhythms, a bleeped melody keeping time as drum machines overheat and circuitry melts. mean as ever from andreas gehm. expect tears.

“footwork”—the very word indicates a movement of the feet that is “work” (as in an effort to achieve). its joyous social party nature sits within a lineage of african american history that includes the infamous soul train dance tunnel and hip hop dance circles. however, as footwork continues to become more popular, we should not forget that at its essence it is a highly evolved battle form. this is the central theme one feels listening to the stunning “fingers, bank pads & shoe prints,” the second album from rp boo, the man credited with inventing the footwork genre with a 1997 track “baby come on” (recently re-released on the planet mu ep “classics vol. 1”).

as the popularity of footwork has continued to soar, the range of sounds within the genre has expanded. from the angular, minimal beats of rp boo to the widely admired sound of sadly departed dj rashad, the genre has lovingly seeped into hearts and feet worldwide whilst continuing to innovate. until now most of the focus has been on the male dj/producers, but that is about to change. gary based producer jlin, who some of you might remember for her track *erotic heat* (bangs and works vol.2 – planet mu 2011), or from her moment in the mainstream light providing music for fashion designer rick owens f/w 14 paris runway show, is stepping further into the light with a stunning eleven track debut album *dark energy* showcasing her unique and bold new sound.

our moscow b-boy, vinyl freak and outstanding dj lay-far is back with his second ep of secret weapons on basic fingers. secret weapons vol.2 has something for everyone, covering a vast variation of styles ranging from disco (groove), soul-fusion (bolinas), jazz-funk (bouncy lady) and dub (south african crossfire). all very tasty and dj friendly but most important they re all touched by the magic fingers from lay-far.

looking for strangers opens with the latin guitar licks of the title track before we are treated to the deeper jackin vibes and delicious chords of bassment beat. the vicious kick drum of no fool leads us on the flip, with its awesome stabs of soul. in motion featuring the subtle and sultry vocals of silencia closes the ep with its twisted filters and bass-heavy beats.

girl units club-dwelling hysterics alias makes his first appearance on the night slugs main series. his opening statement via club constructions vol. 5 introduced a dungeon world of hydraulic rhythm tracks driven by primal exertion. hysterics ep offers a first glimpse of colour from the artist (mainly oxidised bronze!).

*to the moon and back* - the a side of this fenou #22 record is taken from douglas greeds *fenou bouquet vol.3* compilation. the b side *mr. styles* is one of the unreleased goodies by dapayk solo and fits this mini compilation just perfectly. as usual the release comes as a 10 inch vinyl release in a limited edition and numbered by hand.
