next up on rompecabeza we delve into the world of techno again, with a powerful and melodic release from producer dave shokh. danceable tracks, full of emotions and superhuman excellence, keep everyone moving.
oliver schories (ostwind, seenplatte, parquet) shows again his talent for emotional moments. this time on holgi stars label rompecabeza. incl one the best remixes from helmut dubnitzky (brise) i ve heard so far
daniel sternberg, eightyaxt years old, born naive and innocent in berlin, has been a dj and producer since the early 90s. since then, using the artist names daniel steinberg and harry axt, he has produced numerous tracks, remixes, and a mix-cd on labels such as kiddaz.fm, front room recordings, micro.fon,, and leftroom. his debut album, planet axt, comes out on 02.03.2009 on the label of his booking agency rompecabeza. the vinyl version presents eight as of yet unreleased tracks.
rompecabeza is excited to announce the debut release from bradler & dualton, the highly talented newcomers out of cologne! on their new release they deliver 3 functional, outstanding tracks, heavily and beautifully arranged- all with the necessary portions of funk, house and of course, that unmistakable rompecabeza sound...
after the extremely successful filmmusik ep on rompecabeza, holgi star is back with >not for me<. the ep consists of two tracks with technoid crossover potential! on >not for me< bits of african vocals meet functional techno and seamlessly weave together into a quite sexy and rather danceable number. all the while >dont feel it< coolly, calmly, and with just enough repetition, establishes its class and style without unneeded flourishes. both tracks were extensively tested by the rompe crew at sonar 2008 in barcelona, and reactions spoke of the potential both of the artist and the ep itself!!!
not another promo text!?!? we find that all of the music produced by harry axt speaks volumes, therefore we simply (and happily!) offer you these two new tracks. it s worth mentioning that this is the last ep from harry axt before his album release in october on rompecabeza music. the whole summer he will indulge in a production break, so that he may doze in the sun, test every type of beer possible, demolish enormous amounts of grilled meat and danish ice cream, and then completely concentrate this replenished creativity on his debut album. then, while the sun fades away for another season, he will let the sunshine back into our ears…
new peaktime burner from dave shokh! big with : josh wink, jeremy p. caulfield, heinrichs & hirtenfellner, laurent garnier, davide squillace, holgi star, renato figoli, dj emerson, till von sein, fra soler, tim paris, d. diggler…to be continued !
after the last techno bomb from alexi delano he now gives holgi star as well as production partner harry axt the honour to supply another burner on rompecabeza! all 3 tracks deliver in the usual rompe-style, making it impossible for anyone to keep their legs still. very deep elements ranging from reduced to trippy with a fat portion of groove results in pure listening pleasure for everyone who likes to party
heavy support by : troy pierce, tony rohr, cari lekebusch, tim xavier, massi dl, jesper dahlbäck, xpansul, holgi star, par grindvik. the fourth rompe comes from alexi delano!! trippy, dark and scary minimal techno from outer space
after dave shokh and tony rohr its now harry axts turn on rompecabeza to continue the vinyl series. all in all, this is a mega rompe debut that explodes off harrys hard disk and seamlessly joins the high quality of its predecessors
big follow up !! the still unknown bowling centre downtown kreuzberg gave the name for this ep - there incognito appearing electronic music lovers of all kind meet occasionally wednesdays for strange tasting kaiserpower beer to strike and spare and celebrate their incomprehensibly bad ball feeling – techno bowling at it’s best. wednesday is bouncy fun minimal with fresh surprises throughout the track - very much what we have come to love about tony rohr tracks. kaiserpower is a trip back to the powerful, trippy, voodoo side of things for mr. rohr, which we haven t seen in a while… drop it like it’s hot
support by alexi delano, gregor tresher, monika kruse, tony rohr, holgi star, tim xavier, afrilounge, and many more.. shokh is back again. like mr. jekyll-and-hyde he presents us two floor bombs on the brand new imprint rompecabeza music. on one side the playful “snuka”, which you can brand as pure techno funk, on the other side “mr. piper”, which packs an enormous saw tooth and where mr. shokh decides to take you on a loopy journey. the berlin based booking agency rompecabeza will surely supply more big tunes on its new in-house label in the near future. rompecabeza = rambazamba
