on january 1st 2010, the first single released by a new vinyl label kanu kanu will appear in the shops worldwide. the aim of the label, run by a producer hatti vatti (mindset recordings), is to promote interesting and original artists from the world of dub-tech, minimal dubstep / ukg. the material for the single catalogued as number 001 was created by the musicians from three countries: echo_tm from poland, echo ranks from great britain and biodub from germany. the person responsible for the overall conception is hatti vatti from poland, currently living in cairo, egypt. the result of this collaboration is a fusion of meditative bass, dub, dub-tech, minimal and one of the most interesting voices of contemporary reggae. the record is released in a very limited edition (300 copies) and it is pressed on a beautiful blue vinyl!

italian duo davide zeta and claudio basile moved to london from milan in 96 & 97 respectively, they quickly achieved themselves their individual niches in londons spotlight as promoter/dj duo, moving into production with their first official releases in 2008, claudio as a solo artist, and davide as part of slimboystwo. when they finally joined forces for their first release as dzeta n basile gained lots of attention from different record labels throughout uk and europe. claudios sound comes from a progressive background and davides has more of a house feeling. the result is a unique blend of hypnotic grooves, deep vibes and percussive/house beats, which is the trade mark of their style. after just more than a year running, with dj performances in londons most important venue and 10+ singles released, the future in 2010 is looking bright.

baddies are an indie rock band from southend, essex, who released their debut single battleships in october 2008. identical twins michael and jim webster are joined in baddies by danny rowton and simon bellamy. it has been said that they make hi octane alt pop that recalls the likes of klaxons and queens of the stone age. big, ballsy bass heavy hooks delivered at breakneck speed (bbc)!!

the artform label began in 1997 formed by jamie anderson as a platform to release his studio productions. artform soon had the attention and support of other music pioneers and released early works by jerome, steve rachmad, dave angel, stanny franssen and jesse rose. the mission for the label was to bridge the divide between genres of electronic music by experimenting with fusing styles and developing new sounds, a legacy which is still apparent today. after a short break artform now returns with a fresh new track by jamie anderson to relaunch the label joined by a huge remix from amsterdam‘s jerome. the pair of have worked together many times with releases on 100% pure and jerome‘s own outland records. this past year has seen jamie‘s productions on labels such as cocoon, rekids, klang elekronik and harthouse, and this release proves to be one of his strongest yet. predator continues in the labels direction of forward thinking tech house with a classic sound of the 909 creating a sinister backdrop of detroit inspired techno.

phat hell remix taken from peaches last studio album -i feel cream- released early 2009, -lose u- is definitely one of the highlights! written and produced by peaches and james ford and jas shaw aka simian mobile disco the original single was one of hell s records of the year. in true gigolo style hell and christian prommer set about remixing -lose u- regardless of release commitments or marketing schedules and the result is found here on this limited edition vinyl only release.

after the debut albums from future beat alliance and aardvarck, delsin strikes again with this very deep soulful ambient techno album by dimension 5. until now dimension 5 did have only released one 12, but one which was directly praised by fabrice lig, laurent garnier and others. his album alien artform holds both deep, ambient like techno to listen to (think: john beltran & detroit escalator company) as well as more dancefloor-aimed material, without losing the soft touch, (think: kenny larkin & aril brikha). this is (detroit) techno as it is meant to be: soulful & deep. should appeal to fans of aril brikha, d.e.s. and the dubbier german techno stuff. tip!
