you got the stuff is not lovely day - that much is true. this ones a wigged out, extended, trip into deep space from 1978 that is truly baffling. of course, it features bill singing for the first half of the track but then all of a sudden we re launched into a cosmic wormhole as everything just falls back and the track is stripped of any earthly qualities. people find themselves asking this, this is bill withers? as lazer guided synths and rock solid drums pull us into the sonic vortex. truly amazing. obviously a nugget like this has not gone unnoticed and has been edited and chopped and sampled deftly by the more sarcastic, left-field oriented crate diggers out there but it has never been reissued legitimately - until now! a hugely sought after and collectible gem right here, backed with the wistful slow jam look to each other for love as per the original 1978 columbia promo 12inch version. this left-field, cosmic classic has been legally reissued by above board distribution in conjunction with the legal rights holders sony music entertainment. this high quality repress features original columbia pink label disco 12inch artwork and has been remastered from sonys original sources by optimum mastering, bristol uk.

die vierte ausgabe der modeselektion war längst überfällig und fällt deshalb extra energisch aus, dafür sorgen viele große namen der internationalen clubszene und eine ganze reihe aufstrebender künstler: actress, rødhâd, peder mannerfelt, rroxymore, sarah farina und all die anderen setzen zwischen roughem und clever gebautem techno, kosmischen breakbeats und dub- und-bass-eskapaden die unterschiedlichsten akzente und erzeugen trotzdem einen starken, stringenten vibe. die als doppel-cd und vierteilige 12--serie erhältliche compilation enthält 17 tracks von künstlern, die zur aktuellen speerspitze in sachen anspruchsvoller dance music zählen – so sehen es zumindest modeselektor, aber wann hat uns ihr gespür je enttäuscht? wie jede modeselektion ist die vierte ausgabe kein schnödes mixtape: alle künstler wurden eigens um passende, unveröffentlichte musik gebeten, und das ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen. -wir sind stolz und fühlen uns geehrt, dass wir die compilation genau so zusammenstellen konnten-, schwärmen die selektoren. -volume 04 ist wahrscheinlich die funktionalste und eingängigste modeselektion, die wir bis dato gemacht haben.-

radio slave’s colossal ‘the revenge’ track now gets expert remix treatment from klasse wrecks label head luca lozano. luca has also released on the likes of optimo, sex tags ufo and unknown to the unknown and brings a raw, acid tinged sound to his beats. as a performer lozano’s versatile dj sets span between raw house, cosmic disco and dynamic breakbeat selections, which is why he’s become a regular at key clubs across europe and tasteful festivals like houghton. his ‘how bow dis’ remix’ is solid and features wild old school flavours in its huge drum breaks, a monstrous bassline and dark filtered vocals. it bangs for seven superbly heavy minutes with plenty of twists and turns along the way, and will transform any club or warehouse into a writhing, sweaty mass in seconds. on the flip, his ‘how bow dah’’ version is based around elastic drums and rumbling bass while a loose synth line darts about up top. some distant synths bring a sense of serenity to the madness and so despite the physical impact of this one, it also has real emotion to it.

new to the all day i dream team is newman. his name literal. this new york based artist is at the beginning of what we believe will be a long career both through his emotive productions and compelling beautiful dj sets. the release itself sits at the more dance floor oriented end of the label. both breath of the souls and the long journey have been truly tried and tested at this point. solid grooves, wailing middle eastern emotive lady voices and strings. for our events, these are the peak time anthems. the ep also features when the leaves fall, closing out the release in blissful style, and a warm welcome for newman to our all day i dream family.
