liverpool-based producer bantam lions has long been part of the scenery records family, helping label boss asok launch the imprint with 2012s one to one ep. here he returns with his third 12 inch for the label. lead cut *recollections* is particularly good, delivering a deep and attractive fusion of fuzzy analogue warm, dreamy melodies and intoxicating chords. he ups the tempo further on *many years later*. which layers dubbed-out chords and swirling textures over an energy-packed techno groove. the accompanying remixes are pretty tasty, too, with the cyclist particularly impressing with his detroit techno-goes-lo-fi interpretation of *recollections*. that said, the dreamy, new age-influenced downtempo take from mood hut regular cloudface is pretty darn good, too.

we hope you will permit us the indulgence of deviating slightly from our globe trotting explorations on this release as we pay homage to the sun. highlife on holiday, if you will. stepping away from the edits, auntie flo delivers a new original track. sun ritual ii takes things up a notch from its earlier counterpart (released on kompakt), banging dare-we-say-it berghain techno gives way to warm synth-laden euphoria. on the flip, miajica, one third of alma negra who you may recall from highlife2. here he serves up a delightfully familiar summer treat, the original being an end of the night, highlife highlight, particularly at our annual tribute to the sun event. we are sure you will agree that both sides are rock solid and primed for the summer!

last year moscow records set up sub-label moss co and each release so far has introduced a new set of artists. for this third release it is nu zau, aka stefan gabriel zamfir and loopdeville, aka d zlatinov. nu zau debuted on fear of flying in 2012 and his 2013 was prolific with seven releases added to his name. he provides an 11-minute drum track, *cumse cuvine*, that is filled with kooky and super minimal, squeaks, tweets and vocal samples, a fine production. loopdevilles kick drum on *piance* in comparison to zaus a-side is standout, and here he provides a cold and moody track designed for those deeper moments of the night. it is the london-based producers third release after debuting in 2013 with two 12 inches, one of which, phantasmagoria, inaugurated new label delooped.

make no mistake, for vault series 15 the doors have been flung open to welcome a new act to the fold. theres very little known about mistake made. no records or releases exist to date, but they have impressed vault chief subjected enough to have them join the sequestered berlin-based crew. and in sublime compliance with the vault series creed, this debut effort from the shadowy outfit presents yet another set of functioning and frill-free dancefloor material, complete with a rusted-through hue of its own. on the a-side >wrist< jumps straight in with marching intent, complete with fidgety hat work thats both anxious and infectious. then on the flip, >ricochet< opens with field recordings tossed into a stormy concoction of ticks, hats and fuzzy atmospherics, teamed up here with one of those basslines that will keep you glued to the floor. >indec< then concludes in signature vault series style an ominous, growling number rattled with alarm bells and screeching, clangorous detail. its one of those monstrous slow-burners that leaves you wounded yet longing for more. all in all, a rounded first release from a new techno tour de force. this isnt the last we will be hearing from mistake made.

a kaleidoscope of rainbow textures and rhythms disperse into the exotic soundscape of *tropical*. electronics, real folk instruments and noise-making objects feature here generously on this six-track concept album, blending together a sonic palette influenced by a rich variety of music, people and places. the material was initially written over the course of a few months during what seneviratne called *a beautiful burst of inspiration*. working with veteran producer asier leatxe ibanez d opakoa (electric lady studios, nyc), seneviratne then set about disassembling all the songs and re-working them meticulously, enriching the sounds by adding a huge range of live instrumentation, before processing the audio through vintage analogue studio gear. the vinyl lp comes with download code.

here s something to stir the loins of any discerning disco dj: a studio hook-up between veteran producer felix dickinson (fresh from his much-loved outing on futureboogie recordings), horse meat disco and one-time dfa man (and renowned multi-instrumentalist) marcus marr. there s an additional contributor, too: a mystery (presumably big-name) vocalist whose talk-box heavy delivery sits somewhere between prince, george clinton and pharrell. the track itself is something of a summer anthem in the making - an immaculately produced p-funk jam with the additional benefit of a shuffling, house-friendly groove. no details on how many copies have been pressed, either way, you d be well advised to snap up a copy while you still can.

trunk - and branches fetched by klangscheiben manager demas with diligent helpers from the forest. they built a wooden house of joy in the middle of the thuringian pampa. in the tree house they set up a small vinyl manufactory. what counts is lively, honest craftsmanship. hunter s tree! here they are, the pieces of wood, uh vinyl. scratched into the inner bark stands out: artists have placed their saws and axes in the shed and carved a few tasteful sounds in electronic sisyphean. chapeau et voilà, because what s crawling out of the wood boxes (clearly!) is not a worm, but musical understatement with pure groove research and a commitment to a culture of sound of the early perlon vinyls. oh god, always these analogies... but there were, no, there are good times for good music! this is magnificent fizzle funk with emo edge. relish and dance!

having emerged from a crop of disco flavoured releases and vocal led remixes a couple of years ago, ashley casselle and asadinho decided to embark upon creating a series of stripped down housey techno dj tools to be used as experimental moments within their own podcasts and dj sets. this degree of honesty, and a desire to hark back to the roots of the music that drew them together in the first place, resulted in the sublime and bouncy *ceefox*. grainy 70s b-movie strings atop an addictive bassline equals a subtle yet huge club moment wherever it is played. we here at murge decided to entice these charming deejays to put out this deep and groovesome tune with us. two remixes come courtesy of new kingpin on the block jordan peak, who takes things into a more stomping club arena, and the beautifully glictchy ambience of julien miers headphone friendly interpretation.
