to celebrate reaching our 20th release, we’re launching a series of 6 compilation eps named eel behaviour . starting with a bang through the haunting mechanical acid of delta funktionen’s “alternate reality”, it’s followed by uplifting broken techno from exciting new london-based talent imogen. autumns enters a more tense area with the slow and dense ebm-flavoured “recovery” while a barrage of weird, vocal-infused beats from bristol’s giant swan, brings the record to a chaotic end on “the sun inside jaden smith”. limited edition transparent orange vinyl, in a custom hologram-stickered pvc sleeve.

hello children, for this year s excursion we have organised a fantastic trip: a one week journey to the parallel world! a world where its leaders decided to go back in time rather than moving forward. it will be a mind bending excursion. it will be great.

2015 looks to be delta funktionen s year. following the terrifically dark and deep wasteland series comes -a new planet-. a cold electro beat is the bedrock from which a corrupting and corrosive 303 coil grows. but even with this caustic foundation, moments of salvation are to be found. a second techno moon dawns midway, frostier percussion giving way to warmer rhythms. full and flowing bars fall and rise behind the squawk, allowing a new and brighter element to bloom. a track that is at once atmospheric and club centric from an artist at the top of his game. this will be released as a limited single sided 12- vinyl with a silkscreen print on the b side.

nemanja nikolic was born in belgrade, serbia. a couple of years ago, he decided to move to sydney for the purpose of audio production studies. rejection and a new world are nemanjas vision of dub techno, evolving pads, reverbs, space and delays. highway of thoughts and the voice of my youth are an attempt of experimental, darker, minimal tracks with lots of sfx, samples from the real world and live instruments. delta funktionen (ann aimee, delsin) appears for the first time on dpress and delivers a top remix of >a new world< that finds its place near the solid techno sound of sandwell district, etiku, ostgut ton.

brothers black launch the second release on their self-titled, vinyl-only label with dance-floor focussed va. brbl002 is a selection artists whom the duo hold in high regard with the addition of an original track. kicking off the release is the berlin-based dutch dj, delta funktionen. keeping true to the raw, electro-influenced sound he s renowned for, platform4e is a tough, rolling peak-time weapon thats instantly playable and recognisable. up next on the a2 is an original track from brothers black. keeping with their groove-orientated, percussion focussed style, cold shoulder is a dj focussed tool that combines quick fire percussion with a rolling low end and sharp fm stabs. leading the aa1 is one of detroit s finest, and dj veteran, eric cloutier. in keeping with his trademark deep but warm sound is alexithymia. combining swirling acid soundscapes with warm, uplifting pads and a steady groove, this track is perfect for the darker hours of the night. following the aa2 is the mysterious high mobility weapons unit. with just a handful of releases, hmwu has a distinct and highly playable sound that has become a mainstay of the brothers black record bag. staying true to his fast paced, groove-orientated productions, aeromagnetic is a deeper-edged tool thats made for the dance-floor.

komarken electronics makes his debut on brokntoys with expanded consciousness. with previous releases under his belt on solar one & stilleben, for brokntoys he serves up shimmering neo electro with early mornings following up with the fidgety bubble theory. on the flip, the title track runs deep into ether before delta funktionen steps up with a heavy remix of early mornings to close proceedings.

the sixth field 12inch presents four of the most outstanding dutch artists on one ep, namely delta funktionen, rod, mark du mosch and roberto auser. the end result is an abstract trip through the deep fields of ambient, house and stripped techno.

abstract division returns with the second addition to their form and function series on dynamic reflection. similar to the first release, part ii also features two original tracks and two remixes, this time around by none other than delta funktionen and ben sims.
