Alison Marks returns fresh from her recent collaborative releases as Wallflower with Leah Floyeurs and Lumina, her more machine based project, with Helen Copnall. Here she delivers a subtle yet enlivening piece in the form of Mama,a slow, enchanting groove which works surprisingly well pitched up utilising piano, strings and a vocal motif reminding us why it is that we spend so many hours on the dance floor/behind the mixing desk/in the record shop.
