dark entries is honored to reissue the debut 12” single ‘courage’ from scottish band talking drums. for this first time vinyl reissue we’ve added bonus track “lost in the 20th century” from 1982, previously available only on their debut cassette album. all songs are remastered for vinyl by george horn at fantasy studios in berkeley. each copy includes a double sided insert with ephemera, photos and liner notes by the band.

for our 50th release on delusions of grandeur we’re pleased to bring you seven exclusive tracks from a mighty-fine collection of both existing dog artists and veritable newcomers alike. kicking off part one we have rush hour regular nebraska who manages to successfully combine elements of wait for it... trance and broken beat into an altogether more exciting and amazing way than that actually sounds on paper. organic, sampled drums with plenty of grit and dirt lay down a groove whilst spacey synth arps and an almighty break (in a subtle way) make this something of an epic which all of us here have fallen for in a big way.

mysterious london techno imprint pacific command send out a hair-raising battle-cry to inaugurate the label, with young production outfit senate debuting for 001. using pummelling berghain-techno as the base-plate, the perth duo set about twisting this into ever more contorted incarnations.

mr saag is back for his third release on local talk, *in the box* and this time he went all in. this 12 provides a meaty affair with firm drums, well-treated vocal snippets, organ hooks and the works. the opening track *in the box* uses strong synth stabs to full effect and the marriage of percussive and crunchy rhythms in this track is saag at his best. it is so good we decided to include a drum track of it too! *suddenly i woke up* is basement house with organ hook, afro percussive rhythms and a bassline from the deep depths of detroit.

soundway present a slice of raw trinidad carnival roots with a progressive twist, courtesy of one of the islands most original and forward thinking musical minds of the post war period. on the flip highlife-techno pioneer drumtalk morphs it into a dark and twisted electro-tropical groove dripping with rolling distorted synth-lines and filtered vocals.

william anthony bois was born in stockholm, sweden, in 1991. he expressed an early interest in music, especially electronic music. whilst william demonstrated a natural tallent for piano composition from an early age, in 2003 he began channeling his creativity into house music after a friend introduced him to fruity loops. early street dancing lessons introduced him to funk which has been a source of inspiration ever since the age of nine. he continued the dancing with the dance group funky 4 brothers and has performed around europe and sweden. william also studied music production and sound engineering at sixth form college. this background has given him a firm foundation from which to express his music through a variety of rhythms and tone that give his music an individual flavour.
