benjamin vigneron, also known as vronsky, was born in 1991 in aix-en-provence, france. as a teenager, drawn simultaneously to visual arts, cinema and music production, he made his first contact with techno by working for a local club as a graphic designer. during his 20s, while living between montreal, canada and marseille, france, it was revealed to benjamin he suffered from a heavy bipolar disorder. as a reaction, he started losing himself in free parties and increasingly dangerous habits. gradually learning to love himself despite his flaws, he kicked his risk-taking after he realized the love of music prevailed over anything else. equipped with a strong desire to share his vision despite not being able to perform as a dj, benjamin started a youtube channel and a collective named listening blue.

from 2009 until now, he participates as a dj in the well-known british band belleruche, a world-class band in the turntable soul scene with many concerts in greece and abroad (serbia, turkey, russia, switzerland, france, england, ukraine etc.). all these years he has appeared in major festivals all over the world next to great names, such as the wailers, charles bradley, kid loco, zaz, waldeck a.o, while he has opened the live shows of top artists, including alpha blondy, wax tailor, dj krush, parov stellar and others.

catz n dogz are some of our oldest extended dirtybird family, spanning multiple eps, a couple albums, some remixes, and we even presented their very first release as catz n dogz as they transitioned from their old 3 channels alias in 2007. its been over 4 years since they ve been on the label, and we re ecstatic to have them back with the feelings factory. fine feelings features the legendary vocalist robert owens, and sounds like a classic deep house track from the late 90 s when no one called it deep house, they just danced to it all night in warehouses. factory settings includes additional production from londons joseph ashworth, and from the first note to the last its filled with driving intensity and an ascending cacophony of rhythms and voices.

the ppa duo outta london is back with another burning hot 7inch on gamm. just like on the first 7inch they go for two rare jazz-funk tracks where they not only rework the originals but also add their own instrumentation on top. song for you (by popcorn) got a real nice boogie funk feel and sounds like an early 80s production from the uk even though its actually a rare florida production. green machine is jazz-funk original by o donel levy but now re-tweaked and with vintage clavinet and percussion added over the original track. another ppa home run!

a project 18 months in the making, marcel fengler presents a imf10, a three part compilation series detailing the past, present and future of his label index marcel fengler. part 3 focuses on the tougher end of the techno spectrum and features marcel fengler’s first original production in two years, a rare offering from sebastian kramer (aka redshape), a prized luke slater re-work of thomas hessler, while belgian shapeshifter peter van hoesen crafts a powerful production to add to the pot. familiar to fans of the label from his excellent imf09, avion makes a return alongside emerging columbian talent gotshell.

after a wildly successful collaboration on thatmanmonkzs turn it out from the lp, columbus-ing, dave aju suggested they should continue their production streak for a new percussive tracks project. at the same time, aju had finally kept his word to legendary bay area club/underground mc and personality, foxxee aka foxxee brown aka lawrence petty, to work on a track together as well. petty being a core part of the infamous ya mamas house radio show on 106 kmel alongside pete avila and david harness that introduced legions of young bay area djs to real house music, includ-ing aju, in the early 90s.

guru s jazzmatazz, vol. 1 is the debut solo studio album from guru, one half of the hip-hop duo gang starr. released on 18th may, 1993 on chrysalis records, this album is one of the first albums to combine a live jazz band with hip hop production and rapping. live backing is provided by a band that includes lonnie liston smith, branford marsalis, ronny jordan, donald byrd and roy ayers. the album also features vocal collaborations with carleen anderson, n dea davenport (of the brand new heavies) dee c lee and french rapper mc solaar. the variety of guest artists adds diversity and originality to each track, and gives the album a distinct jazz feel. in celebration of the 25th anniversary of this classic album ume/urban legends will be releasing a 3lp deluxe edition which includes the original album, the instrumentals and a third bonus lp of rare remixes. the package also comes with a 12 page booklet that features rare images from the original jazzmatazz photo shoot.
