the second half of the great lengths remixes package offers 3 more vividly contrasting interpretations of album tracks. almost a year on from the release of his debut album >one< and with >saviour of techno< plaudits still bouncing off concrete walls, berghain lynchpin ben klock turns in a remix of is this insanity that distills everything inspirational about both the club and city he calls home. spaceapes cracked vocal is welded to a sort of cavernous piston driven groove while traces of the originals melody fractured into the briefest of shards fight their way to the surface only to sink back into the percussive smog. located well outside of the heavily scrutinised uk hype centres, manchesters rising star illum sphere continues to hone his already distinct sound on the flipsides brilliant orange reworking. a clanking off kilter groove rubs up against an extended mutation of the original melody that pushes the track towards a poignant climax, evoking all the ache of reaching for the stars and landing squarely on ones face.

mr dehnert delivering! after is succesfull releases on fachwerk and the first basement series release its time for another essential techno release by mike dehnert. after the little hype on the many blogs its another release that will create a stir. lautschrift is probably the sexiest masculine techno track we ve heard in a while! a wolf in sheep clothes. undercooled phat techno drive with a nice mellow vocoder voice, soft bleepy sounds and a deep sub-bass... and then slowly the sexy bassline becomes more and more dominant and energetic and the tracks turns into a killer. amazing track! regelschrift and nano are two heavy techno tracks from the neue berliner techno schule. just as we like it!

big star arkus p on mario rainieris hard techno imprint. epic breakbeats start the a1 track with a lucious string and uplifting vocals. the beat drops and the crowd is going crazy! follow up on the a side with a dirty grimey hard techno monster with a huge breakdown and noise! the flip starts of with a monster of a kick and filled with all kinds of nasty edits. this is defenitely the hardest track on the ep. second track on the ep is marios own version of hot space. funky beats and a weird vibe that will appeal to the jumping crowd!
