step into brooms dojo and be met with a sausage apocalypse, as the uk techno magus flays alive your wildest dreams using his brace of bangers. with snake-like precision this chimera of the shadow realms pounds techno oblivion from his production line. sparks fly as gleaming loaves of acid-soaked brilliance fly out the bakehouse door, the master bakers eyes spinning like electronic roulette wheels - out of control under delirious bass weight. enshrouded in the blue haze of the shamans gourd pipe, mr mark broom is again set to blow the back doors off any club this side of basildon

its time for another epic release from rollerboys, and this time the journey goes to land of hypno this hypnotic masterpiece is a carefully selected blend of latin proto-house, freestyle, chicago & balearia. the moment you stick the needle into the groove you are instantly teleported to some deserted island in middle of the adriatic sea, where the breeze is warm, the sand is white and you dance into the endless night!
every now and then, a record comes along…this is one of those occasions. but...it is not any old record, it is a new one. specifically, the new 12inch single from sundown drive, brought to you by mind fair and rogue cat sounds. moving on from the body and soul that embodied their first trip, sd transcend you to the annals of deep clubland and melodically twist your heart strings with an early morning flutter and a tantric tension. the meandering-yet-purposeful piano finding its feet later in the proceedings this time, but rising to full effect, leaving only the dub to knock us sideways into a beautifully-simplistic dark alley of spring reverbs, synthesized prophecy and the voices in ya head telling you to give it up.
patterns returns to the vinylscene with another banger for the techno djs who like to play out the vinyl! 4 pumping high energy tunes by some big shot names from the scene. christian fischer / mark broom / stefano noferini & spektre!

gawlo is a rolling, resplendent tribute to griot life ù gawlo is fula for griot ù spear-headed by none other than baaba maal. superbly expressive interjections by a trio of talking drums are especially lucid on the instrumental version. on the flip, lignou mome is an exhilarating straight-no-chaser of galloping drums, bad-minded bass and layered guitar, before ndeye gueye wraps up proceedings with a third instrumental, propelled by terse, hypnotic figures on guitar and marimba synth. with the drum-kit unattended, octogenarian legend doudou ndiaye rose features on lead sabar.

mark e is back with a vengeance with a couple of absolute crackers and artwork this time comes from the consistently witty and surreal mind of our pal mr. ian stevenson.
mark templeton presents jealous heart, an album which reimagines the story of his sound in an approach that is both staid and deeply emotional, re-orienting what is offered and what is held back through a myriad of smeared stringed instruments, fragmented horn phrases, tape loops, and found-sound-driven explorations.
the debut ep from sonns (la based producer alexandre mouracade of split secs) is a soulful vocal dance track with hypnotic vocals and funky bass. mark e does a deep steel drum driven interpretation. b/w the party track starts tonight (vocal & dub mixes) sure to get the floor moving.
the debut release by glitterbeat records is a limited edition 12 inch with two dubbed-up remixes by electronic music explorer, mark ernestus. the tracks are pulled from glitterbeat artist, ben zabos self-titled and highly touted, 2012 debut album of frenetic, malian afro-rock.
with smr010 underground unit e.p were revisiting vintage us grooves rather than 97-style ukg. with a split ep featuring nick beringer & kid mark. win my heart harks back to classic jersey garage, coming in original and manuel regnet mixes one night stand, meanwhile, looks to chicago and detroit for inspiration with kid mark & fabio monesi. support from - dj sneak, james johnston, chris udoh, samuel deep, mad mats (local talk) & loads more.
the opener is a traditional jola rhythm, typically fast and energetic, with tuned, talking and kit drums swarming over a kind of skeletal downhome guitar, somewhere between blues and disco. the mboup brothers make a soaring, impassioned plea for an end to division and bloodshed in their casamance homeland. then a more deeply dug-in, spaced-out funk, edgily spun from a serer rhythm, underpinning mbenes reflective song about parental sacrifice. sama yaye, my mother. both with full instrumental versions.
after the success of the first ep, comes the remix ep signed by three great artists of the techno scene. thrive is remixed by two veterans: mark broom and pacou. mark makes a very attractive and more techno version of the original track. pacou shows a version completely different amazing breakbeat! pulzar is remixed by jeroen search, who is never wrong at the time! powerful second vinyl for this label.
mark broom continues his legacy as one of the uks finest producers with another outstanding ep on bek audio. after the flying success of >eye of the tiger< & >stag<, mark broom makes his third outing on gary becks bek audio label with the >salvo ep<. mark broom has a long and illustrious career in uk techno. his 20 years experience not only shows in his sculptured releases, but also in the imprints he has worked with over these years, namely pure plastic, theory rec, b-pitch control, soma, saved & cocoon.
eclectic avenue welcomes the inimitable lil mark, one of the true stalwarts of the uk house scene & regular contributor to some of the finest imprints worldwide. here mark expertly shows his unique knack for genre-straddling. kicking off with pulling strings more familiar lil mark territory, with his trademark tight-as-hell percussion & firing bass sat below a freaked-out twisting riff. seriously, this bad-boy takes no prisoners....other than the ones on the dancefloor.... on the flipside we are treated to memoirs, a beautifully sumptous lo-slung roller, utilising a vox refrain over the top of a glorious rolling bass groove. like being comforted by a welcoming acid-bass-hug, this is truly something special. nestled inbetween marks original cuts is e.a.r. main-man j.cub, who offers up an alternate interpretation of memoirsl. taking the vox refrain & weaving it throughout the track like an instrument, j.cub nudges the tempo up slightly & adds a solid percussive backdrop & a reworked bass groove, creating a cut which is deep enough to warm the crowd but packs a solid punch at the same time
in the finest dub tradition, mark stewart has returned to his highly-acclaimed >the politics of envy< album, sonically savaging it into a new monster, suitably entitled >exorcism of envy<.
released on december 3rd, the set sees stewart revisit the soundscapes which hotwired the original album as a viciously spot-on aural depiction of our world, remoulding its ingredients with gloves off and intensity levels on overdrive.
limited edition double vinyl release, includes cd-copy of the album and a poster.
double 12 inch, one black & one white vinyl + download card.
>stereotype< the second single from bristol industrial dub pioneer mark stewarts recent album the politics of envy gets reworked by a host of guest producers. hyper dub duo hype williams unravel stereotype into a fiercely breath taking dub-spectacle, unfolding three-quarters of the way through into a sky-bound grand finale. fred venturas italoconnection remix radiates with a cosmic-coated, sugary burst of popular 80s synth and as expected plenty of italo spark & flair. daniel b of front 242 pulls the originals fuse, and rewires it into what you would kinda imagine a 31st century electronica frankenstein would sound like. renowned techno figure perc gets angst and intense with a heavy, mechanical but beautifully crafted remix destined for the most no-nonsense of floors. chicago native chrissy murderbot channels the same high impact baltimore sound that you will find in machinedrum and schlachthofbronx productions, carrying us out guns blazing with ballistic footwork drum beat firing. finally, mark stewarts dub version of the song and a taster from his upcoming >exorcism of envy< lp to be released later in the autumn.

have three badder dudes ever appeared on one techno record? original uk techno soldier mark broom joins up with our favorite detroit bad boy kris wadsworth for a stunningly simple lesson in jacking techno, while butane lends his hot hand on remix duties and turns in a monster to complete the package.
first scott frasers ep on astro lab , after his recent releases on world unknow and remixes for virgo four we are really proud to have scott on board, the john hughes experience is already supported by andrew weatherall, ivan smagghe, daniel avery and more. on the b-side mark e turned this low techno track into an slow house flavor, something betwwen nu-groove styles and mark e current stuffs.

toolroom records delivers one of their most highly awaited releases to date, with anticipation reaching fever pitch due to the meeting of mark knight & skunk anansie lead vocalist skin on nothing matters!
special 12 inch featuring new versions of the track fa, taken from the debut fennesz solo album >hotel paral.lel< (1997). 15 years after its initial release, christian fennesz gives this throbbing monster of a track a new seeing to, extending it and adding more of that magic he is so well known for. the album was always an exercise in exploring alternate means of hearing club based music. this new version carries that concept further.
this is backed by a cracking new mix by the ever productive mark fell, adding his unique beat structures, and even a mlk sample, which lends his contemporary rhythmic landscape a odd nostalgic twist.
this 12 inch can be seen as a warm up for the new fennesz album, which is currently scheduled for 2013 release.

neufeld bringing back the true spirit of techno. pure acid loaded, head banging old school techno monsters. incl remixes by mark hawkins and paul birken.
mark henning is back! back on cityfox! a classic acapella and marks distinctive sound collide, result-ing in a huge tune, sounding old school and fresh at the same time. not just the vocals are telling a story here, the synths and bassline add their part to complete the track. the second original trojan is the secret weapon and club bomb, the dark side of the release, because too much sunshine is never healthy. afrilounge take it a step deeper and its big string melody sounds as clean as and sparkles like the sunrise itself. the 1998 edit incorperates the rhythms and vibes of classic house and techno from the era when it all began. thick, groovy basslines and pulsing pads laid out over infectious percussion make this track an instant classic.
