was auf oracle ungeschliffen passiert, ist der erste output einer deutschen jazz supergroup. zunächst wollte man ein unperfektes spiritual jazz album aufnehmen, das vorbildern aus den siebzigern fröhnt (strata east, black jazz et cetera), einfach mal der leidenschaft nachgehen. und man wollte eine fiktive band erfinden, die es nicht gab, und rausposaunen, es handelt sich um ein unveröffentlichtes album von namhaften und beseelten typen aus den 70ern. nun ja: dann hätte man nie live konzerte geben können, von interviews ganz zu schweigen. kurzum, es wäre schwierig gewesen, das geheim zu halten, also hat man sich entschlossen, die identitäten preiszugeben: web web sind: roberto di gioia (piano, synth, percussion), tony lakatos (tenor- und sopranosaxophone), christian von kaphengst (upright bass) und peter gall (drums).

patrick weblin gives us this very special ep. 2 original tracks named after his 2 sons, so a lot of time and heart has gone into making this ep with a superb remix from iuly.b. “tadhg’s groove” give us solid house drums, percs and hats but its the pads and bassline that gives it the movement throughout the track, taking you to another level of space and conscious. iuly.b’s remix is down right tasty. it takes you on a little trip and makes you loose track of time all while grooving to this great remix. “ollie’s groove” is something a bit special, big 909 kick combined with 808 tops but this time some melodic synths add a very soulful and elegant sound.

mathias is a devoted raver & music lover. his influences run deep into the techno & acid culture and he is addicted to groove & rhythm. together with elad, who is returning the 3rd time to flr, they present two main tracks with remixes from hector oaks & blind observatory.

following on from his release on beneath s mistry imprint, webstarr inaugurates his de grey label with a three-track collection of bass-flecked techno. opener we can t have nice things evokes punch drunk and the bristol sound as skittering beats deliver a two-step-like rhythm, propelled along by a synth melody that teases a potent breakdown. meanwhile warsaw bumps along with a brooding bassline that gives way to multi-layered percussion direct from an eastern bloc steel mill. closing track exit changes gear to play to the floor as a piercing kick and clap drum pattern combines with the subtlest of sub-bass and sharp synths that probe behind your eyes to lift the track effortlessly in a 2016 nod to detroit.
