es wurde drei jahre an dieser erstveröffentlichung gearbeitet, damit ihnen >passion night< in der originalversion von 1987 vom original multitrack-master mit gewohnt respektvoller bearbeitung präsentiert werden kann. hinzu kommen drei remixe: der balearisch angehauchte miro smooth jazz remix und ein remix des hochgelobten musikers und produzenten giulio d agostino alias julyo, der eine vielzahl von kollaborationen mit so unterschiedlichen künstlern wie aphex twin, goldie und michael brecker vorweisen kann.

volume number four of random numbers split series is released. a cross section of the best italian experimental artists, released in 5 volumes. each artist has been given the space of a single side c50 cassette, in which they could express their music freely, without compromise. volume 2 is entrusted to healing force project and massimo carozzi. this volume is dedicated to complex textures and mental voyages, soundscapes and rhythmic illusions. healing force project describes his work whit this words: “this session is my own and personal view of a hypothetical live that i would propose. made for the “embrace” series on sequencias (label from brooklyn), my goal was to start from an industrial groove with a sharp and rough step at the same time. during the listening, the primary elements gradually fade away, giving way to jazzy and broken rhythms structures. many samples, especially sax and trumpet, create sick textures and an apparent state of perpetual mental trip. “ massimo carozzi’s side consists of seventeen sound miniatures composed and assembled from recordings made between 2010 and 2016 in various parts of europe using a small portable modular system and a digital recorder. credits: mastered by francesco brini at spectrum mastering & vinyl artwork by emanuele luppino c+p 2017 random numbers

curtains up for a new power trio: bass player massimo pupillo (zu, laniakea), drummer alexandre babel (sudden infant) and caspar brÃ&#150,tzmann on guitar. as the title -live at the candy bomber studios, vol.1- indicates, this album is the first cut from an inspired recording meeting. raw energy, full focus and three instrumentalists at the peak of their skills who blend noise rock, drone and improvisation into 2 relentless epic pieces. the line-up consists of massimo pupillo, bass player in zu, laniakeaand countless other constellations anddrummer alexandre babel who is a prolific player in the experimental / contemporary field (artistic director of swiss percussion group eklekto, member ofkammerensemble neue musik berlin, soloist and has performed a.o. with otomo yoshihide and keiji haino) and a steady member of the noise band sudden infant. and last but not least there s caspar brÃ&#150,tzmann on guitar who gainedhigh reputation as one of the most radical guitarists around, admired by acclaimed artists like thurston moore (-probably one of the best guitarists i ve ever met!-)and stephen o malley. a powerful unit, recorded live in the studio by ingo krauss who had already worked with brÃ&#150,tzmann on the caspar brÃ&#150,tzmann massaker albums -der abend der schwarzen folklore- and -koksofen-.

new project from massimo vanoni in which his black streak with slow-down & nu-disco-funk features prevails. the tracks have strong groove rhythms, with intense, rather thick and ascent.loops. the contaminations collected by the club consoles seem to merge in the creation of unreleased songs which recall an interesting return to the old beat with dynamic rhythm.

alexander robotniks futuristic take of the led zeppelin classic has been unearthed from dusty vaults circa 1983. the original may be an acquired taste with its off kilter vocal delivery, however, another version takes this cover to another level dubbing out the vocals and using snippets to devastating effect. a true diamond in the rough, with its synth melodies ropping in and out of the classic riff and running riot, this is prototype electronic disco at its finest

in a subterranean tunnel, halfway between las vegas and new york is a small after hours venue where the walls are covered in red velvet and the floor littered with dreams and broken promises. over the soundsystem is the trace of a groove, deep and stark, cut into a vinyl that was already worn down before it was played the first time. welcome to the afterparty that never finishes. be careful where you put the drink!
