claque musique’s latest is a collaborative v/a affair. two vinyls package featuring eight classy cuts from donato dozzy, carola pisaturo, federico grazzini and more... a journey through the vastness of electronic music!
claque musique ready to unleash their latest offering, from an artist who has become a key member of the claque family, rio padice. having in recent years devoted time to learning the production techniques of the 90s, blending the use of software, hardware and sampling, his productions, unlike so much of the current trend for looking back, have a mature and studied classic sound and feel to them. his work this year has seen firmly rooted in the front of the most discerning of record boxes.rio follows his remix of micro_on (claquemusique10) with his very own woodland ep. as we have accustomed to, rio delights us with another selection of tracks that see him exploring and bringing together the best in classic sounds with his very own fresh contemporary spin. the beautiful trip through woodland opens the ep. a dreamy bass-heavy acidic number. much different is ocrons land, with its static sounds and almost industrial feel. mutant camels with its bubbling bass, rasping hats and dromedary movement rounds out the originals. remixing the title track is padova born alex picone. renowed for his releases on bass culture, mus and cadenza and fresh from the success of his fahrenheit single, alex ramps things up for the dancefloor on woodland, replacing the original acid line with some fresh guitar licks. perfect!
in a subterranean tunnel, halfway between las vegas and new york is a small after hours venue where the walls are covered in red velvet and the floor littered with dreams and broken promises. over the soundsystem is the trace of a groove, deep and stark, cut into a vinyl that was already worn down before it was played the first time. welcome to the afterparty that never finishes. be careful where you put the drink!
claque musique kicks off another piece of beauty. “america”, joe montana’s iconic house jam from 1996, is back out now, after more then a decade, remastered and remixed from chicago house pioneers virgo four and the museri.
forthcoming on claque the remixes of donato dozzy’s “cassandra” which was, without question, one of 2015’s most enduring success stories techno.
a side with techno twists from skudge. b side with fred p. and his own trademark concrete detroitian and last but not least, dj jus-ed steps up with the final re-shape of the show.
amazing three different jobs that continue the legacy of cassandra throughout 2016.
*cassandra* is a super deep and hypnotic cut that opens with a thumping kick and silky-smooth pads, with the techno innovator teasing out delayed vocal-like synth phrases that lock the listener in before a huge sub-bassline lands. dozzy focuses on these main intersecting elements which gradually evolve, topped off by rolling drums and razor-edged hi-hats. also on the release is *ii*, a slab of experimental sound design that swells and retracts, gurgling away to nothing and topping off an essential new chapter for the peerless techno craftsmen.
the perfectly formed italian label claque is kick starting 2015 with a tidy new two track ep that features label boss carola pisaturo and nick anthony simoncino in collaboration, and deep house pioneer ron trent on remix duties.
young romanian producer iuly.b is rapidly making a name for himself with his distinctive musical style and here he presents a powerful ep for your ears and feet. empath is a swirling monster, whilst barems remix sees the minus artist streamline the track and add a driving synth line. astronomic is another energetic cut, whilst franco cinellis remix employs dancing keys to great effect. support by: tini, raresh, stacey pullen, davide squillace, enzo siragusa, ralf, jorge savoretti, leon, giovanni verrina (all inn records) and many others
claque musique proudly welcomes the fantastically talented marco giordano (aka the selph) to the family. first up from the young milanese is its just a ride a true club banger featuring 4 cuts of deep and infectious dance grooves overlaid with vocal fragments and smooth synths. all topped off with a stunning remix by gaetano parisio. welcome to the family, marco!
gaetano parisio gets the funk back with this 4track release on claque musique. dirty talk brings new sounds and adds some sweetness still keeping the typical gaetanos killer grooves! a must have! supported by marco carola, anja schneider, alexi delano, dirt crew, luca bacchetti, paco osuna, margaret dygas, davide squillace, monika kruse and many more!
claque musique present their fifth release, which is a technoid gem from hugo (already responsible for the brilliant third 12 inch on the label, entitled born to bop) called strobo revenge. another zany electronic bullet that is destined to cause mayhem on dancefloors worldwide! on the a side, jumping beats, vocal mirages and compressed synths create the groove on the original mix of the title track. a fizzing bassline and echoing whistles enter later on and they give the track a slice of claque musique zaniness. a2, prismatic visual, is a powerful floor filler, which is slightly less crazy then its musical partner. hugo uses dependable percussion, watery synth action and inviting vocals to create this musical treat. on the flip side, carola pisaturo brings us a moody version of strobo revenge that squeezes something else out of those whistles. she employs heads down percussion, vocal shards and smooth synths on her version. portable/bodycode heightens the intensity with a jackin rerub that sends the track in another direction completely. marching beats, acidic synths and hollow bass drops work wonders on abrahams revision
incl supergroovin touane remix !! the fourth release onthis supercool italy label is one by criss aka the rain. a very surprising release in a very positive way! minimal with a darker vibe into in and a irresistable swing that can t be missed.
incl massi dl remix !! renato figoli (lo-fi stereo, gumption recordings, trapez) opens the cut restrainedly with bleepy burblings, the kick drum pattern subtly intensifies until, two-minutes in, a pulsating bass line transforms the track into a surging club-house banger. figoli keeps things interesting by incrementally adding fragmented voice snippets that slip comfortably into the groove and by exploiting tension and release with well-timed dropouts and breakdowns. on the b side, massi dl (safari electronique, frankie rec) eschews buildups altogether, opting to leap from the gate with a deep and infectious dance groove overlaid by voice fragments that resemble punctuating barks. acidy synth effects give the tune fleeting psychotropic character before the cut slams into gear with a massive groove
