leisure system, the collective, label and 4-year long famed berghain party is back with a very special fourth addition to its catalogue: the inaugural release from jets – a project which pairs two of dance musics most eccentric and distinctive personalities, jimmy edgar and travis stewart (aka machine drum).

we have had a good run of 12 inches this year starting off with todd terjes >inspector norse< followed by bjørn torske (remixed by dj harvey and todd terje), lindstrøm (remixed by todd rundgren) and idjut boys great >one for kenny<. and now we continue with a great summer tune and one of our favorite tracks of the year, mungolian jetsets brand new >smells like gasoline<. already a todd terje favorite, the track will be featured on mungolian jetsets upcoming album >mungodelics< due 20th of august (todd terje has also edited the cd version of the album). on the b side we have 2 remixes of >we are the shining< from last years >schlungs< album by dan lissvik of studio fame as well as skatebaard.

mungolian jetset returns with a new 12 inch. this is a limited edition 12 inch, edition of 500 copies. the 12&#8243,,, will not be available on cd or digital, only on the good old vinyl that we all love so much. the 12 inch contains two tracks, moon jocks n prog rock and moonstruck. the 12 inch is a taster of the upcoming mungolian jetset album that is being completed now and will be released spring 2011.

this is the remix version of the sold-out 12 inch moon jocks n prog rocks and it features remixes from todd terje (2 remixes actually), montezuma as well as frisvold & lindbaek.

west side story became the smash hit stage musical of 1957 through a combination of leonard bernstein’s dramatic score with jerome robbins exuberant dance routines. the long awaited film version arrived in 1961 and starred richard beymer as tony, rita moreno as anita and natalie wood as maria. its original soundtrack album clocked up 53 weeks on top of the billboard stereo albums chart and 12 on the mono, making it the album with the most weeks at number 1 of the rock (post 1955) era.

superb unreleased 80s ambient cassettes remastered ! robert scott pearsons musiccan be seen as surrealist, impressionist, post industrial, mystical or avant-garde, but it goes beyond categories. his work embraces software, philosophy, poetry, visual arts, and generative algorithmic creation in general. at an early age, he began to experiment in this field, and released his first music privately on cassette, being part of the 80s underground industrial scene in seattle. post-industrial, futuristic, but not really nihilistic, his beautiful music melts expressive synth leads with arpeggios soundscapes, and drum machines flashes and lights, to take us in another reality.

wonderful 1970s p.c.p inspired 20 track. compilation featuring a highly charged mix of psych funk, prog, afro, glam, cosmic, rock and disco. some very rare pieces on here such as the cosmic reggae inspired 360 degrees, the groovy psych prog of the creative craniums and the raw prototype psych funk of kid rock (not that one). others will be better known to lovers of a more progressive dancefloor such as soundforce and diabolic man which has long been a big spin for dj harvey and lovefingers alike.

das ikonische belgische dj-duo 2manydjs, bestehend aus den brüder stephen und david dewaele, feiert das 20-jährige jubiläum ihres albums as heard on radio soulwax pt. 2 mit einer besonderen re-issue. 2002 erschien es ursprünglich nach einer reihe von radioshows der beiden brüder, damals vor allem bekannt als die köpfe hinter der electronic/indie-rock band soulwax. die re-issue erscheint mit dem foto von richard young auf dem cover, das ursprünglich als cover vorgesehen, aber nach rechtsstreitigkeiten mit tipp-ex verfremdet wurde.
