THE WARRIOR DANCE III (RON TRENT / CHEZ DAMIER RMXS)
12 Inch 08.12.11
skylax records, the company focused on realeasing original obscure dance classic and everything that sounds fine to their ears! for our 25th release, we are back again with simoncino for the warrior dance iii, this brand new ep will feature on a side the wonderfull >warriors dance< (chicagos jackin heaven is not so far we guess), >tropical vibe< that has got this kind of disco feeling without sounding (thx god) nu-disco & to end >hey detroit< that speaks for itself. on the b side, we have the very big honor to get 2 extraordinary remixes, one from the legendary ron trent (more than 10 min long!) & another atmospheric & deep as hell one from chez damiers morning after mix part ii. this is the kind of release that will remind you what house music is all about. useless to say that simoncino is on top right now & is writing some future & cult club classics. a must to have in every djs collection
terpsiton are proud to welcome to the gang the new faces of the scene and old friends of the label called themselves the scene. this strongly and catchy headline is wisely chosen and named after the legendary detroit based tv-show that turned usual men into celebrities over night. it absurdly and hilariously demonstrates how to get a name and how to get fame just by being marked as a celebrity. so, these well talented guys that are totally into the deep and underground house stuff vault themselves into the scene by releasing this ass-kicking and groundbreaking record that is full of catchy and lovely hook lines, forcing kick drums, intense arrangements and a true passion for the house movement as it was back in the days. on two songs (feist movement & lab) the scene is supported by two other new gang members soon to be well known namely as niki and franz b. werner who add their feel and taste of sounds. a unique blend of individuals, great sounds and real emotions that will make history. never mind the celebrities - here comes the scene!
back 2 back is built around a spontaneous live jam by dj pippi, tucillo and kiko navarro in dj pippis studio on ibiza. in a few hours they had finished the track. the ep opens with tucillo and willi graffs dub, a muscular, driving, stripped down rework of the original for a popping dance floor. kokis back dub is also a floor tool that has been well tested this summer by kiko navarro with great results. the ep finishes with a very cool afriki soul remix by bhoddi satva.
next detroit - chicago bomb by echonomist. incl huge john dimas remix. like an aficionado of acid house echonomist returns with a stormer on third wave. this time his hyped chord progressions resolve into a groove that is more or less a reminiscence of the hacienda days. dans mon salon sings in black shades >i feel for you<, >to lock with a groove that i crave for<. a praise to jack, a praise to the way of jack. ultimately, >jack had a groove. and from this groove came the grooves of all grooves<… john dimas goes deeper underground with a simple primitive like pulsating groove. the insistent bass line tone (that slowly unravels an opening filter) clearly connects to old skool techniques of acid house masters.
ramona is pretty nervous to welcome a new name to her ever-growing happy family. in fact, its actually an old band member. christian beisswenger alias cb funk alias one half of arto mwambe is not exactly one you would call a stranger. for >77 reasons< he debuts as the citizens band with some novel sounds on risky grounds. in love with details, fragile sounds, little tricks and with a fine ear for the action, the band leader tiptoes into deep bleepy house just enough to call >west 42nd< exactly that. >77 reasons< however plays around with a memorable little melody, a skanking lead and some boom sonics. whatever you want to call it, ramona is fine with it. orson and kane would be proud.
10 years of killing sheep records and still no one can touch them, the original cross over dnb / hardcore label delivers this years definitivednb / hardcore release. tymon melds the genres with ease and even manages to pull off an epic dubstep drop amongst the chaos of massive kicks and snares. the dj producer rinses old skool breaks over the top of a pounding kick drum, plenty of intelligent drum choppage action.
after the highly successful sunshine reworks #1 (still going strong - big thank you!) soulshare is back with two more deep disco gems in this solid series.
first up and we are once again at prelude for a sweet beefed up version of the classic soul boogie shuffler love fever. pitching things up with reconstructed vocals, added layers and killer drums, dean ignites a deep disco flavor to this track! rounding things off with more retrospective hands-in-the-air pianos its another storming anthemic floorfiller - already getting serious support from some of the key players!
flip over and track two is a deep n dubby trip with tamiko jones fave let it flow. dean takes this killer groove and adds echos, effects, drums and vocals to create a deep disco groover that keeps you shuffling till the end! with a joyous percussive overlaying finale this track is perfect for todays deeper floors. another solid release from dean and his sunshine reworks series. getting big support from the likes of ashley beedle, eric duncan, yam who, pbr streetgang, luke una etc...
sixteen brief and inconsequential images..glimpses of scenes flickering by… heres mickey moonlights debut album! full of discrete and subtle details this lp is definitely aimed for home-listening and not for the club (even if close to everything is receiving massive support from our dj friends..) although mm has assembled a large and stellar cast of musicians the album still remains his singular and unique vision.
the man with the mask shouldnt need an introduction: delsin, styrax leaves and his own present outfit have shown the mans ability to maneuver between true school techno, malicious house, break beat bombs and motor city romanticism - all ornamented with redshapes very own mark. for running back, he delivers something like a cross sum of his work. >on da floor< (>da< reads >the<) is subterranean haunted house with a broken heart, while >goom< features a take-your-shirt-off reese-bass-line. if you like it dry, the >bonus beatz< >z< reads >s<) of >goom< will satisfy your needs. bass drum jungle music
alter ego have brought the rukus with this release and is pretty much standard for these london based producers. this has sold really well on promo so dont miss out on this one.
on the a-side we have the cheeky >24 hour party sausage<, where garry takes us back to the sounds of the early 90s uk rave scene. its a peak time old school vocal affair with a raw, analog bassline, stuttered drums and chopped up stabbed vocals. stepping up for remix duty on this future classic is the mole who flips the original on its head and creates a dancefloor creeper for those darker club moments. winding the bassline and metallic beats between the rawness of the original groove and imparting his trademark spooky percussion, rhythms and eerie vocals. b-side >vacation in sunderland< is a love story with a firm salute to the classic down tempo us house of the 90s. its time to dust off those shell suits, high top sneakers and cazal shades and get ready for another slung back, funked out garry todd house jam with growling, rolling bass and seductive vocals and keys. on the remix front fellow illusion family members death on the balcony step up with a classic house masterstroke that compliments garrys slower and sleazier original. here dotb pick up the pace in a brilliantly original rework that accentuates the vocals and piano hook to create a summer house anthem - a stylish finish to another diverse installment from the illusion crew.
our next release on the kolour mother-ship features rising canadian talent the noodleman. he laces us with an absolute picturesque, low-slung deep house affair that, for us, is one of those sweet-spot tunes.
for remix duties, we leave no stone unturned as we bring back a familiar face & proudly welcome in two new ones.
hailing from new zealand, truth and decoda have established themselves as true heavyweights of the dubstep scene. following releases on several high profile labels, and their hit album >puppets< truth lay it down for wheel & deal.
truth & decoda – the emperor: emperor is the heavy hitting, distorted reese tearout monster with a dramatic intro of horror film proportions. this follows the dark jump up vibe of wheel & deal, and will smash up any dance.
truth & dutty ranks – calling you back: this is a upbeat style track, reminiscent of the older dubstep sound. with a tribal skank and haunted garage style vocal, this is soulful but sub heavy in its own right.
these have had support from n-type, walsh, hatcha, and mistajam to name but a few.
romulo del castillo and joshua kay are phoenecia and they emerge from their long march into the aural wilderness of miami with good man bones ep, five new sonic tapestries heavy with rhythm and rich in visual detail. screen print colors with hot green/brown vinyl. this mini lp serves up an offering of selections from the full-length demissions - both made available through a unique collaboration between detroit underground and schematic. limited press.

even those of you living in a cave in the last couple of years have heard of azari & iii, the celebrated production duo from toronto. best known as their founding member, alphonse alixander lanza iii is an old timer with his earliest productions dating back to the raving 90’,s. on gtcm08, alixander iii flies solo and delivers a superb ep that showcases his darker, edgier side. with three origi¬nal tracks each more harrowing than the other, iii expands and enhances the gtcm signature sound. this here is an ep for discerning djs who refuse to fall for the cliches of mainstream dance music and who have the confidence to unleash such powerful tracks on the dancefloor.
support from laurent garnier, stephan bodzin, slam, troy pierce, brodinski, dj hell, mr g, deetron, lee curtiss, nuno dos santos, erol alkan, paul woolford, master h, the hacker, arnaud le texier ...
tornado wallace has made a rather rapid climb up the hype list since his debut release here on delusions of grandeur in 2010 and deservedly so. definitely one to push quality as opposed to quantity, the melborne wunderkind has chosen to focus on just a select few remixes and releases which has stood him in very good stead and created demand as a dj and producer with genuine integrity as well as talent. in addition to his two eps on d.o.g he also released an ep for instruments of rapture as well as making remixes for home taping is killing music, kolour ltd and future classic. he is also responsible for one of ras best and most popular podcasts this year

off we go and leave the cannibals all empty. the skies are lowering into the sea. gently pushed by stones we wonder/wander on. somewhere behind a rainbow, apartment houses quietly suspire their berlin. the cheeky spirit is pinching the nose with zest. watch them trip and do the mashed morale. we dance with them, but not for long. spirits are holding the upper hand again. still we miss a beat with a heart still strong. noisy colors all blending in one blue. i sit with you where the citys down low. we know no wrong in the sound of a song. down tumble waters rise behind our backs. the pointy poets heads hat breaks in two unlike the jesters scepter whos mad with magics saving factor. we wander on, stroll to and fro things weigh us out, no con, no pro, unlike the jesters saving factor we stick around too long a-go. down tumble waters rise behind our backs. the meek musicians heads hat breaks in two unlike the jesters scepter whose magics not an urban factor. strike up the band, play on and on for sweet sage music always wins just like the jesters magic scepter beats up and down, forgives all sins. this is when you come stepping in. a row of tender houses smash your knees. the skies are lowering some more. existences twitching here and there. rain reflects berlins icy glow: a frisking spirit on the tip of your nose. we dance with him for quite some time. no stopping a hand that holds up in a work. no missing a beat for a heart goes on. flamboyant whispers strike a chord back home. you come to me, im not alone, in the sound of a song we know no wrong
orlando b serves very delicious detroit rooted deep house . incl kez ym remix (yore records) / back 2 basics on the flipside is a stunning 70s inspired disco monster
release number four on upcoming swedish label local talk brings more of that local talk talent, this time we are presenting an ep by swedish producer andreas saag. andreas is no newcomer to the scene, with releases on freerange, a room with a view, rebirth, deepermotions, artizan and tokyo dawn records out and remixes for laurent garnier, joy orbison, portformat and danny howells, he has become a favourite among many djs and producers. his debut for local talk, back to life ep, contains two stunning house jams that aims straight for the dancefloors. the main track is a piano and strings driven house monster that almost sounds like an updated version of >strings of life< but with a deep/tech feel. should be big in the main rooms! on the second track mr saag delivers a house cut that sounds like its straight out of south africa with a raw tech/afro feel. its dark, deep, percussive and 100% house!
the catalog of pink stallone & joey washington singles continues with the arguable gem of their collaborative sessions, mine. the second daniele b & eddie mars co-production, mine exhibits the steady progression of the stallone sludge-funk thump, again fueled by gushing maturity and composure from washington vocals. eddie mars even delivers his own stunningly-authentic production of the stallone/washington sound, marking the first official mars rendition of pink stallone since his inception as a producer and member of the live group. with this comes two workouts by master of the deep the revenge who provides a stripped back timeless dub. one of those tracks that will still sound great in twenty years time. simple and effective with a hint of grandeur. finally wrapping things up are s.a.s (subb-an & adam shelton). following the bumping foot & mouth release earlier this summer we had to ask the boys to give there twist and they sure delivered. acid base and full throttle beats transform >mine< into a jacking dancefloor destroyer, be warned!
volta cab has made quite an impact on the nu disco / deep house scene since last year. he is a multitalented, versatile producer, performing brilliantly in a range from from nu disco, deep house, soul, techno to breakbeat. approaching music in an open way, he is not restricting himself to a certain genre, catching the zeitgeist. on serenades, volta cab takes us back to 1992 with a 4 tracker called >house of the rising fire ep<. all of the tracks are heavily influenced by rave and house soundscapes of the early 90s. think of early prodigy, altern8, rachel wallace and baby d, combined with a modern nu disco twist.
luciano s cadenza imprint welcome fresh blood into their reputable fold of producers for the stunning debut cadenza ep from davide benedetti. italian davide, better known as davidino, has been making unforgettable impressions over recent years with his spell binding and peak time music, cadenza now proudly introduce davide benedetti and the >through the years< ep. kick starting with hearty kicks and menacing sirens, >can t do this< reeks of euphoria from the offset as tenaciously strung hats slam, cymbal crashes shimmer and tempos accelerates beyond bounds. flooding the dance floor with sheer force, davide plays with the core structure of classic house and techno music in >can t do this< as he builds and breaks for the ultimate fist punching opener. on the flipside, >through the years< presents >moody elise< with a dark and sultry bass line bellowing through the lower end firmly into our memories. chopping the track s structure with immaculate precision, moments of sophisticated brass break as spitting drums bind the groove once more. as always, davide injects his contagious energy into the ep with stomping, modern house music on >moody elise< as it begs for late night tales and debaucherous behaviour.
its already about ten years since we started with our first vinyl releases in 2001 including music from plastique, telly quin and mr.clean, time is running and 3 more sublabels and about 35 vinyl releases later it is time to celebrate the first decade … we are looking back to a steady upgrowing music-development, successful parties, live performances and an upbuilding artist collective.the first part of the anniversary compilation presents a variation of different dub house tracks, several are more deep, others are more massy. some remembers to the 90s us house era. including music from dub taylor (eintakt, dirt crew), olivier girardot (ogmusic, arte), lohouse (talk dirty production) and fingers in the noise (deepindub) the eintakt 00 compilation is an unique peace of jewelry, diversified and also a versant device. second part of the anniversary (will come out in december) includes music from neal white, ghettozoid (bekeschus edit), reynold, gunnar hemmerling and telly quin. the 10 years eintakt anniversary vinyl compilation will be limited to 200 copies. feel good!
producer oliver ho aka raudive is not a dark horse. two years after his acclaimed abc ep he returns to rrygular with his new release >love is the devil<. straight and facing forward but also back to the roots somehow. that doesnt need to be a compromise. it is a symbiosis that works absolutely fine in case of this particular 2-tracker. like always the englishman knows how to use percussion elements without getting cheesy. a certain reference to electro is obvious but it underlines the typical dirty raudive sound rather than trying to be referential. but who needs genres anyway? club-disco-techno-house-funk-electro - some kind of monster!
***vinyl only***. following last years debut tsuba limited release its a pleasure to welcome back our favourite italian rio padice with > the return of the luchador<. the luchador story continues with 4 more tracks of timeless, raw and melodic house music all made with machines.
asiko disko - jt uses classic drum machines, sneaky acid lines and a mike dunn-esqe vocal to create this underground gem.
gaia - this track is sure to be a dj favorite. pounding tribal rhythms, hypnotic chants and an arrangement demanding to stay in the mix. this is a dj weapon.
asiko disko (dave aju remix) - having been a fan of dave aju for a while we thought it would be a hoot to get a remix from him. the result is a slow burning, shimmering remix that takes the original and shoots into space.
gaia (lance desardi remix) - our main man lance desardi turns in a electric remix. taking the original and delving into darker territory. new sonic creatures rotate around deep bass tones, hypnotic chants and new directions.
LEFT IN THE WILD (J. GREENE / E. ADAME / PEPEPE RMXS)
12 Inch 08.11.11
nice price deal !!! three international artists offer brand new visions of guillaminos left in the wild, originally part of the whip gymnastix ep. montreals jacques greene from the luckyme crew has just re-drawn radioheads lotus flower. now he turns guillaminos left in the wild into a refined, sideral analogue sounding slow acid jam. icans esteban adame, linked to underground resistance, galaxy 2 galaxy, and to carl craigs planet e label, translates left in the wild into avid tech-house. certification mark: detroit to los angeles. and finally, from guadalajara, mexico, pepepe is the leader of los amparito and former classmate of guillamino at red bull music academy.
these fellas hailed from leeds, and apparently have some sort of morbid love affair with balconies... mystery meat is on a tear these days and continuing to up the ante bring you a trio of terrific reworks from leeds finest, the dashing duo that is death on the balcony. paul and mark have been on the forefront of the deep house and disco world for a number of years now following a killer contribution to soul claps 2nd free.p >cruel banana< not to mention their >adventures of soul clap podcast - downtown:uptown<. fast forward to 2011 and the boys are on all of the top labels of the moment, including culprit, silver network, airdrop and their own magicbag. its no wonder then that their contribution to the fabled mystery meat imprint is anything short of stellar. >get out of your world< is an electro boogie monster, already melting down dancefloors from london to los angeles, berlin to beijing and back again theres just no denying that bassline! >what is dub< takes things more melodic and dare we say deeper with a hypnotic vocal that you just cant get out of your head. rounding death on the balconys ep out is >if you want my champagne<, a bouncy house re-work of one of the 80s finest voices. bounce to this!
finally back in... steffi is a resident of the world famous panorama bar, recodring artist of ostgut ton, owner of the dolly label and frequent collaborator with dexter in the co-running of his klakson imprint she now releases her first underground quality release entitled the reason ep. dj jus-ed has been playing this for 6 months now with great responce from the ladies! this is must have for mood setting and set changing…outstanding!

THE ABOMINABLE / BLOOD CLOT TECHNO (BLACK VINYL REPRESS)
Coloured 12 Inch 05.11.11
the allmighty prspct arsenal gets expanded bigtime with the coming of prspct xtrm. the name says it all extreme.. over the top underground vibes!
the first release sees the dj producer going head to head with bong ra in a collaboration that is just too much. it starts off with >the abominable<, a track that is insane in every way. heavy hardcore kicks combined with destructive jungle breaks is something only this duo can combine! sitting firm on the edge of hardcore, breakcore and dnb like only these 2 can. >bloodclot techno< is something totally different.. this one focusses more on the jungle/break core side of things but combined with almost terminator esque vibes. definably an epic production if there ever was one!
its another monster from survival and one thats featured as an untitled track in numerous sets recently. here we are pleased to announce its title as >the year 2133<. the intro on this one takes you on a short journey into space and back & returns you to land with a massive bump the mini-second the bass kicks in. its a futuristic slate of d&b that we are sure would sit quite well in the year 2133 however we are happy to be releasing this in 2011! the flip sees fathom audios superb >clear the mist< featuring codebreaker & sense. the track features the excellent and hugely talented vocals of codebreaker & mc sense throughout and represents an excursion away from the norm for dispatch.
support from the likes of: btk, rockwell, vicious circle, ant tc1, ulterior motive, fd, dlr, skeptical, cern, dbr uk, nymfo, marky, ant tc1, mindscape, chris su, youngsta, doc scott (future beats podcast), skeptical, xtrah & dose.
persnickety sounds is here to funk-ti-fy your world!
in this era of nü-disco, space disco, cosmic disco, disco house and shit, there must be a beacon of quality to light the way and lead the faithful back to a place where good grooves matter and realness is holding court.
let the labels fall and just get it movin!
this is 2nd edition of remix single. the remixer of a side is our friend artist/dj in new york thomas bullock aka welcome strangers/rub n tug. thomas stripped down the much guitar sound and added trippy sounds, the result is like kraut rock version of original song. b side is instrument version of kuniyuki remix which is released on mule musiq 59. this vershion is more dj tool.
sixth release on the burgeoning diner city sound label, we have featured the legendary 1979 orchestra before on a well received collaborative effort with his buddy volta cab on dcs004. we decided to invite him back to release his own ep with us. 4 brilliant tracks, beat down and fun all round from this exciting young producer!
dj support from loco dice, sebo k, jimpster, d julz, luna city express, franck roger, matt tolfrey, manik, james teej, brothers vibe ...
tsuba is very pleased to welcome back spencer parker to the label alongside house legend ian pooley with the classic house of >feel the same<, in vocal and dub versions. aa side >acid roulette< has been fully road tested by spencer at panorama bar and is perfectly blended underground house with acid stabs & huge rolling bassline. big!
gethigh is a new track release from laid back. the lyrics may instantly lead your mind onto thinking of cannabis but try to think about it in a broader context, in a more universal way. we all want to get high whatever we do in life, in all walks of life, in spirits, sports, politics, showbusiness, all kind of business, in school and education and not to forget love. musically the groove is kept in the recognizable family of the horse, with an updated twist. actually the song was born in key of major, as a more rock guitar riff kinda song included in the package. also included is an ultra minimalistic version, mainly made on ipad. danish electronic musician and dj kasper bjørke has done a really cool remix. finally we made a space mix, mainly for our own pleasure and for those who like to get out there and more into it. a video is in the final editing stage, following the style of beautiful day and cocaine cool, with self made animation. music is more than a trendy sound and a fancy look. laid back is always going for something personal, original and timeless. copenhagen, september 2011.
>joi is smiling / now she s jumping< is the 12-inch-single going hand in hand with >shhh, dandelions at play< - the latest album by boof. the sound of flowers dancing. produced by maurice fulton.
