hierbei handelt es sich um den soundtrack zu einem kurzfilm, der ebenfalls den titel >the runner< trägt. der vom duo augustus muller und jae matthews geschrieben, produzierte und inszenierte film ist ein suchender horrorfilm, der mit einer dokumentation im meta-stil über den aufnahmeprozess von boy harsher verbunden ist. das album enthält verschiedene komponenten: filmische arrangements, gesangseinlagen und natürlich den klassischen dark pop von boy harsher. sowohl das album als auch der kurzfilm werden im januar 2022 veröffentlicht.

starting the year off with this cracking deep ep by our new guys on dirt crew, the runners ! after their extremely succesfull first 12 inch in the beginning of last year which featured the stunning jay shepheard remix they are ready to deliver the next dose of classic house grooves that range from deep house to the more techy edges of electronic dance music. the four originals on this ep alone stand out and keep dirt crew recordings headed towards the future of true deepnes. but as we are real purveyors of soulfull rolling beats we had to add once more one of our favourite producers in the scene to do a remix, this time its our friend from barcelona soul minority who has gained great respect with his cool deep house records over the past years, especially his latest releases on pack up and dance were amongst our most played tracks last year. so here you have it! a great start and there is more coolnes to follow this year! stay tuned and stay deep!

the runners are a new project by our man lukas who has been with dirt crew and players paradise from the beginning and his buddy kevin cook. both young and very talented producers who teamed up to drop some delicious deep house on the next dirt crew release. kevin just made the move to ibiza while bristol based lukas is very succesful in running his buoyancy parties over there. with >hot fun< and >woman pleaser< coming in two different deep mixes this ep is one for the house lovers, taking dirt crew more and more towards the soulfull and groovy path of the new house movement. to top things off we asked another rising star in the scene and one of our favourite producers at this moment jay shepheard (compost, diynamic, drumpoet community) who recently made the move from london to berlin. he delivers a great remix with a deep sub bass and a lush chord filled groove… you will love it
